Nice Dustin, I also have a Kubota B7200 with hydrostat trans. It really is a "workhorse"! I don't have the midmount mower but I have a 72" finish mower, a 4' bush hog, a 4' scrape blade and a scoop pan. The Kubota handles them all with no problem. You're right, take care of it and it will last a long time. New subscriber here.
Great video, I never seen a Kubota that old with a diesel and never seen one for sale in my neck of the woods in Nova Scotia. I wouldn't mind being able to find one. Like the content. Keep them coming. Cheers
Good video I have a B8200 hydrostatic no temperature gauge two summers ago I boiled her last week I finally took the plunge and put in a new cylinder head gasket running like a dream I also have a bx2200 with a front end loader two brilliant machines wouldn't part with either
Just bought one today at an auction.. 792 hours/$4250.00... Started mowing immediately. In 4ft grass.. Gonna have to brush hog first.. Its just too much work for it.. I love it though! It does seem a little tippy on the hills
i have an 87 yanmar 226d which is 22hp 4wd. i like it, it has the loader, i bought it with a snowplow, rear blade and brush hog, i also has a JD cab on it painted to match the red tractor. but would like a couple more tractors, one being a small kubota.
@@DustinT No worries - thanks for answering! I'm debating on upgrading one of my older B7100's to a B7200 because they have better cooling systems. I was wondering about the live PTO because I'd be buying it mostly for a brush hog or a rototiller.
Those Kubotas are a good machine. Those diesel motors are pretty solid. I know a few folks who own older mowers like that and have owned them a very long time with no problems with the engines just normal wear and tear on other parts. Great video,Dustin. Thanks for sharing!
I have a grey market l 1500 had 6 years change oil 3 times never used a drop. Have pulled pime log so heavy my buddy had to ride the hood to keep front end down
I have a B5200, same vintage. GREAT little tractor! My only problem is the 3 point hitch in the rear wont hold a load, it still goes up but quickly sags back down. I managed with it for the first few years [it came with the property we bought 5 years ago] but now it sags too quick. If anyone knows how to repair that [without spending a fortune!] I would love to hear from ya. My big tractor has issues and I'd love to be able to pull the brush hog behind this one again [worked great for the first couple of years]
I was going to say replace the seals but if it's not spilling oil from the cylinder it's probably the valve. Possibly need to adjust it if not rebuild it.
I can tackle about 4 acres of knee high grass in around 2 hours. So roughly 2 acres/hour. Keep in mind my field is fairly open so I don’t have any obstacles to dodge, that helps increase my time.

Do these have live PTO?
Mid pto is lever controlled and rear pto can be turned on/off with another lever. Read pto can be ran at 540 or 720
@@DustinT yeah, but is it live? lol. Does the rear PTO stop with the clutch?
Ah I see, yes the PTO stops when the clutch is pressed. Sorry for the confusion!

How fast can you mow a normal lawn?

@@DustinT thanks for the reply
