You're the best Tragically Hip reactor. There haven't been many, but you're the best one.

Great reaction. The HIP's final tour was filmed as a documentary, also called 'Long Time Running'. Highly recommend watching that. You've only just begun to scratch the surface of The HIP's full iconic story and catalog.

Classic Tragically Hip off of an iconic Canadian album. Can't go wrong with any track off of Road Apples really. I encourage you to listen from start to finish.

The Hip was definitely, definitely a band that you had to see! All the little deviations from the studio recording that might upset some of us(me) when watching videos , disappear when live , and you just really enjoy the magic of the moment that these people were able to create repeatedly ❤❤ One of the fondest memories of my LIFE , was seeing these guys ,live,on Canada day! Seeing as how my marriage turned out....Yes,more memorable than my wedding day!😂😂

Glad you liked it ! Their early songs were very bluesy rock.

If you enjoyed that HIP tune, you might also really dig their classic song 'Fiddlers Green'. It's one of the best (and most iconic) ballad songs that they ever wrote. The term 'Fiddler’s Green' is one that predates this song, with its first recorded usage dating back to the mid-19th century. Most simply put, it is a depiction of heaven as envisioned by the likes of English sailors during that era. 'Fiddlers Green' was specifically written in memory of a boy named Charles Giuseppe, who was (frontman) Gord Downie's nephew. Young 'Charles' died while the band was in the process of putting together the album that this song is featured on. So with all of that in mind ... yes, this song is quite emotional. For many years after it was first written/recorded, the band found it too difficult to play 'live' during shows. Nice recommendation. I'm almost certain Charles passed several years before Road Apples was recorded. I met Gord before he recorded Up to Here and he already had most of the haunting Fiddler's Green lyrics worked out. Did they record it for Up to Hear but then not release it until Road Apples?

They have a unique sound. I really like it when they go hard rock … ‘I’ll believe in you or I’ll be leaving you tonight’ is a good one !

Detroit is pretty much just over the border from Canada and they probably get Canadian radio stations. All the border cities do. Which would be why they could sell out an arena.

One reason your channel will continue to grow, and making you different than all the rest. They do it for views and have cheesy pics trying to encourage a click. You do it for the love of music. When you really enjoy a band. Not because it gets more subscribers , but because you actually like it. Plus you know music, and how to analyze it.

I love watching you watch The Hip. Your enjoyment and appreciation are genuine. This is only the second video of yours I've watched ( Your reaction to "New Orleans Is Sinking" being the first about 10.14 ago ) I've watched many different music reaction creators, yours is the only one I've subscribed to. If you want a "fun" Hip song to react to, watch "Locked In The Trunk Of A Car". For another incredible Canadian band, watch anything from Big Sugar. Now, if you'll excuse me, you have a bloody massive video library I need to go work my way through.

The Hip wrote the soundtrack of the hardworking Canadian. You can't walk through a campground without hearing them.

The 2000 Music @ Work tour was the gold standard for Gord Downie vocally!
"I'll drop a Carabou! I'll tell on you, I'll tell on you!" So soul-full.
Gord really found a balance using his growly singing verses his harder shouting to keep his voice fresher for the whole tour.
