"A coalition of progressive groups launched a campaign Monday to counter the power of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), opening up a new front in the domestic political battle over Israel and Gaza.
The “Reject AIPAC” coalition promises a seven-figure “electoral defense campaign” aimed at shoring up members of Congress who are targeted by the pro-Israel group. It also wants members of Congress to sign a pledge to not accept any more money from the organization - explicitly seeking to frame AIPAC in a similarly controversial light as the National Rifle Association (NRA)."

The American people need to get together and push representatives to get money out of politics. I know this is a stretch but it really, really needs to happen. There has to be a a way to do this.
There should be some kind of antitrust law against AIPAC.
There was but AIPAC funded the so called "citizens united bill" that passed, into law now it is no longer 1 person = 1 vote, now 1$ = 1 vote
Any Middle East debate with a politician should start with the question "How much money did you accept from AIPAC".
That way people will know what kind of politician they are hearing.

All money should be stripped from politics. At bare minimum, all foreign lobby groups should be outlawed. No foreign interest should be allowed to buy our political system.

I cannot help thinkin how cheap it is to buy politicians. Much cheaper than most people think.
The initial payment is low but it backs up a continuous contribution thru securing the position and under the table business transactions like military weaponry, landgrabs and even small events, book launches and mainstream media exposure.
