Don't buy his rubbish book. This is a self-important man who really enjoys the limelight. If you want the truth about MI5 and MI6 from an insider who was in those organisations his entire working life, read Peter Wright's book Spycatcher.

    • @RealMalta-fx4sx
      @RealMalta-fx4sx 5 месяцев назад

In Spycatcher you will learn how the KGB installed their own double agent at the top of MI5's counter-intel section right through the Cold War. No James Bond BS - these organisations are the most incompetent wing of the civil service. Completely useless. "Moy fohther was abroad in Slon dooring the woooor" - the old fool epitomises WHY MI5 and MI6 are so useless.

Well, if we didn't have 60% of the population supporting the full 100% they wouldn't need to. The English have become lazy through safety nets and benefits. Just "taxing the rich" isn't a solution because those "Rich" will take their wealth and businesses including all the jobs they create (and tax revenue) somewhere else, and then there won't be anyone to tax. If you try and screw the people who will work hard and create jobs, then nobody else would bother.
We should be looking at trying to save money by not throwing it at the lazy underclasses that want to crap out hordes of kids they can't afford, who inevitably end up of the same path as the deadbeat parent/parents.
Here's another one, instead of the NHS paying "diversity managers" 70k+ for nonsense jobs, spend the money on things that are actually needed rather than trying to extort more from the people who are already propping up the country.

James, everyone struggles. It does not matter if someone else's struggles were harder than others, we all deal with it differently and as soon as we stop judging people by asking 'what have you got to struggle about' etc the sooner less people will be struggling. We need to be supporting and building each up. I love the podcast but hate the mindset of 'Well someone's got it worse. This idea that MH is new or that there's more of it now then before well it isn't people with MH issues we're seen as crazy and so people didn't speak up or let it be known from fear but now we are know more about it were hearing more about it

I’m a fan of James but I think he thinks he was in his grandparents generation sometimes they way he goes on about certain topics. He acts like mental illness didn’t exist when we was younger. He’s just got such an old fashioned way of viewing the world.
Can’t seem to get through one podcast these days without going into some speech about how life was so much harder back in our day and people were so much tougher and just dumping an endless waterfall of judgment and criticism on the generation beneath. Taking rubbish for most of it.
Me and James are the same age and we had people with mental health problems growing up. People used to struggle, get depressed, self harm, it was no different. He’s even admitted before to having his own mental health problems when he was younger.
The difference is that society has moved on since when we was growing up. When it comes to mental health we’re getting better at spotting it, better at talking about it, better at being honest about it and better at supporting each other with it.
It’s a shame because it’s really good podcast, I genuinely still enjoy it, I’ve followed him almost since the beginning and he has some really interesting guests on his shows but I’m starting to grow a bit tired of the rants he seems to want have nearly every episode now.
Me and James are the same and when was was young, kids, teenagers and young adults did have mental health problems as well it was just never handled very well. People were too ashamed and embarrassed to talk to about it and kept it to themselves. That’s the difference

Great interview and easy listening, i felt he glossed past a few things you tried to get him to talk about like ufo's, aliens and undetectable nuclear missiles. Hats off to ya for trying tho on these questions, sometimes silence speaks volumes. 🤔 Keep up the great content your making James mate 👍 My new favourite podcast. 👌

Wow James this just showed the difference between the working class and the upper class, the reason David didn't think youngsters were struggling & suicidal is that he has plenty of dosh and always has, the working class are skint and he's talking about going to fuckin Brazil when he was 6 , they don't have struggles like the working class, this was an amazing example of the difference in lifestyles, when you were trying to explain how people struggle it was if you were talking about someone on the moon, he just didn't get it , I loved it but cringed at times as I could see myself in that situation and the feelings I'd have of not being on his level and feeling inadequate and below him which we shouldn't do

Not looking to alarm James at all but reference his remark @09:03 that "... every 1 in 5 is gay... bi... trans...", it is a lot worse than he thinks:
back in the '90s it was already an accepted biological fact that 1 in 5 men were born gay. When you therefore add in the bi-sexual and trans-sexual, the overall figure must obviously be greater... and that is before you consider what I call the 'social gays' - men who go that way because it makes them appear more interesting as an individual and is generally so much 'cooler' than 'vanilla' straight, never mind those low-testosterone males who go that route simply because the wholesale masculinisation of women (body-building, combat sports etc.) in the western world just kills their natural instinct for heterosexuality.

Gotta say street samples of cocaine these days in the uk have a purity of between 60 - 90 % (usually 75 % and more)
as tested by forensic analysis labs that work for the courts police etc.
    not 10 - 20 % as was stated in this interview.I
I had a gram tested 2 years ago and it was 89 % Pure and it wasnt the best i had purchase.

Im so torn about espionage and the secret services cause on the one hand, some of their operations seem so immoral to we the public. But on the other hand, if they didn't do what they do we would experience so much terrorism and the safety and stability we take for granted would be gone. As ruthless as it is you have to be pragmatic. So I respect you sir for your service to our country 🎉
