    Some good glimpses of Ollie in this episode - he probably was enjoying just relaxing in the shade in the heat and humidity! Ugh. 🥰 🐾

      Yes! Ollie loved the pelicans especially lol. He barked EVERYTIME they came by :)

    Oh my goodness. Please be careful and travel safe. Happy to hear you are feeling better. So many great tips in the video. Thanks for letting us travel along your adventure. When I retire in 1.5 years my wife and I are thinking about the great loop as well. Take care. Safe crossing to the Bahamas.

    Glad you are doing better. Dehydration is nothing to mess with in the south. You need more than just water to stay hydrated. Be safe cruising, Frank

    Thanks for the great memory flashback. We were in the slip next to you in Jan of '23 when we did our Loop. Best Shrimp Po-Boy on the trip was at that tiki hut restaurant. Enjoying your videos. Continued safe travels.

    It is nice to see that you both are enjoying Key Largo and not rushing out in the Atlantic to cross to the Bahamas. Your planning is very well thought out and I hope you have a fantastic time after waiting so long to get there. Safe journey and looking forward to more videos.

    Just found you two. Wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed the clips. Live here in Chattanooga, TN with a Sea Ray 40 MY on the Tennessee River. Oddly enough I grew up in Hart/Pentwater area and still visit every summer in August.

    I'm a big Bogey fan, love all his movies. I always wondered whether the hotel in the movies Key Largo still exists toady. I always thought they destroyed the African Queen at the end of the movie.

    • @cruisingandromeda
      @cruisingandromeda  5 месяцев назад

      I am not sure about the hotel, but the African Queen looks like it went out multiple times a day! It was so neat to see. :)

    Salted Gatorade is your best friend, I’m a triathlete that races in this mess. When your sodium levels sweat out, water doesn’t help, you have to replenish electrolytes and sodium.

    We used to go to Marina Del Mar for 30 yrs until they got nutz on their dockage rates. We've stayed in that slip!

    Y'all please be careful in the miserable southern heat and humidity. Even those of us who grew up in this southern sauna have a difficult time coping as we've gotten older. Heat screens on (parked) aircraft and (docked) boats are always a good idea. Loved the Africa Queen gliding by... Boat people are some of the best! Another word of caution...never, never, never look up when a flock of pelicans fly over your head.

    • @cruisingandromeda
      @cruisingandromeda  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you Dr. John! We definitely learned QUICK! The window shade made such a big difference on the boat! Noted on the pelicans lol :)

    Not to be crude, but if you don't have to pee then you need to drink some more. Humidity is a killer in the south
