When I lived in Ponca City Oklahoma "2003-04ish" I used to flag for Cooper Land in Stillwater once in a while and there was always this older dude in his 40's at the time that had this same exact bike and dude it was so freaking awesome seeing that guy smoke all the new 450's on the track... no one could stay up with him. Just goes to show how badass these bikes still are with the right rider!!!
Beautiful Vintage MX Bike! I love and highly appreciate how y'all give full disclosure on bikes that you are selling with issues. Honestly is Always the best policy, because word of mouth can make or break a business. I worked in Customer Service my whole life, until I could no longer work.My bikes was everything y'all said it was, and much more. I took it out a few hours ago. 😎❤️
Beautiful. I thought 76 was first up pipe model. I had one. These didnt have a reed valve. Good addition! These had loose ball steering head bearings. Pain in the butt
if that is a 1975 it is painted as a 1976 .. as the 1976 was the first all red with a red frame as I bought a 1976 brand new while I was working for my local Honda shop back when those bikes were brand new ....and an original 1975 was gray and silver with a black frame ... my rival at our local Moto track had the 1975 model that the two of us would go handle bar to handle bar lap after lap , gray and black against the red ...it was a hoot to do ! but no matter as you just broke my heart pal as yours has everything I always wanted to do to mine ! that thing you have is priceless as far as I'm concerned ! did you hear that bottom end? NO YOU DID NOT cause its still fresh and tight like it is supposed to be !!!!!! someone zeroed the crank on that one making it quiet fast and powerful not to mention all the go fast goodies ...im crying my eyes out Kaplan are you happy now !
by the way did you know that the whole top end of an early CR250R will bolt on the first of the series of the 250 two stroke Honda four wheel Odyssey atv ...learned this while attending Honda school in Milwaukee ..the instructor said now the rider has a 6 foot long rope starter arm after it kicked back on him ... you will wheelie over backwards on to the roll bar of the Odyssey with a full throttle start if you do this mod of bolting on the entire top end of the 1973- 1976 CR250R ....so do it if ever get the chance and have a ripper Honda 250 two stroke Odyssey off road go kart like few people have ever seen ! if you decide you ever what to do this get the last of the first Honda Odysseys made in around 1982 that were all red with a full roll cage ..there safer of course but also very badass looking ! ride red and keep the shiny side up
I like that bike i also like that 1992 WR 500 yamha i have a 1990 YZ 250 WR that is my favorite bike that i have plus i have two KZ 250 and i got two KDX 200 all are 1993 model years but your collection is out of this world
I’m just so hooked by this channel you do a phenomenal job of explaining the bikes. perfect detail not to mention you got a hell of a good cameraman by the way! Keep up the great work
My bike that I bought from them, 1.5 months ago, was everything they said it was and much more..If you ever do business with them, you won't have any regrets..I love this family alot. The 2 you tube channels have given me better quality of my life. Take Care.
Having said that, I wonder if there are still Hallman rims available? I want to build an Aberg replica and i might require a set at some stage, yes you can get other brands, but it just causes a disconnect from what the bike really was vs what you expect it to be like today.. So I soldier on
Hi everyone! im Justride-2T and my dream is to restore old motorcycles and give them that magical shine starting with a beautiful yamaha DT 175, come on see more enjoy it
I use to have one of those the tank has been painted on that one I believe mine had a silver gas tank and a green stripe down the center of the tank and my frame was green .I would love to have one again mine had very few spokes left in back room ..it was funney it wabled then when ya got a lil speed up it would ride streight ..but I left it in our old house and I don't know what happened to it .my sister bought it and ya long story shorter I got screwed ...
Looks nice...The last owner should have painted it the right color ( silver tank and black frame ) the red thing came years later , 79' and later . The motor on these have a off( hammer color ) . it need a bottom skid plate. other than that and a few things not bad. I own a 75' CR 250 and 5 MT 250's . j-d

Different animal compared to the 2stroke throttle response we have today. What kind of intake valve system, and ignition is used? Has it always been reeds, or did they ever use rotary style? Is it magneto and points ignition, or electronic with adj. stator plate with magnetic pick ups? Bike is beautiful, as well as the pipe, but wonder what would happen if the air intake, and the pipe changed shape? Probably going to see more mods as popularity in racing them grows. I'd rather grab a motocross action with a works modified 1975 bike on the front while stuck food shopping than see another pro's cookie cutter over priced, over engineered modified blah they push today. I'm doa every shootout for past 20 years.
That's not a 75, it's a 76 I know I had one brand new, 75 was silver with Big red stripe on top the fuel tank, Plus 75 had a down pipe, 76 was all Red,frame etc..& first year for the up pipe, they didn't make one in 77 and 78 was the first year of the ALL New red engine CR 250R.. Now you know 🙂 Hey Ken Sr you're not the only Old MX Guy 🤣 I just turned 59 and still Sending it on my 2015 YZ 250 2 stroke.👍
I can’t find a welder who will do a complex aluminum weld repair on a fork leg for $50. So....if I buy the bike, I will just have you weld it for $50 ! Awesome right !

freakin' awesome, as your channel, so sad that we never see that kind of beast in France
Why not ?
That is absolutely timeless. I bet it goes hard to. Honda so far ahead of the rest. So advanced for its time. Priceless. God bless.
That bike sounded radical!
Super, schöne Elsinore danke für die Vorstellung.

GREAT JOB KAPLAN
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
NO FEAR!!
Miss the 2 stroke sound of the 70's and 80's, can't imagine how disappointing it is for kids now who get an electric mix bike for xmas!
Blame the commies
They don't even know what a 2 stroke is how can they feel disappointed?
Gotta say , the paint don’t look bad for an amateur. Looks nice on video ‼️ SHARP Bike

Sometimes i ask myself....is HONDA watching this channel too ?
Just thinking....sometimes all it takes is a little spark....let's hope so !!
Rear shocks are definitely Ohlins
Also Ken these are simons forks and clamps you can thank me later.
No shit! How can you be sure?
Because I have owned enough of them and have been around for awhile,Simons front end Ohlins rear.@@KaplanCycles

I was hoping for wheelies

It's definitely a dime piece Honda forsure.
I would race the Hell out of the thing just so I could spend time to re-do restore it in my own image.
She's a rattler ♥
Dont know about the 250 but the 125 were a pig to get off the line would bog down if you got the rev's wrong .
