Hey everyone, thanks for watching my video! If you need a more detailed, in-depth tutorial for creating stories, test cases, sprints, versions, test executions, etc...I got you! Check out my latest video that covers it all here: ruclips.net/video/fvO7XHBwSek/видео.html And if you find making test cases a bit tedious, you might want to try importing test cases from a csv file instead. Check out this tutorial that can help out: ruclips.net/video/rrFOQom-rCc/видео.html
Hi!! It would have been nice if you talked about preconditions in your last video. Anyway, I like your videos and your voice is very sweet, making pleasant viewing them. Thank you!!
Really useful starter video this, thank you. I am going to move onto the in-depth tutorial you've provided below now, hopefully just as useful. Please say "button" as much as you can haha.
Love that you're a woman and you're teaching Python etc. Go, women! Pretty cool demo, it's helping alot. Xray's not super intuitive the way Jira's in-house test cases creation is.
It took me almost 1 month to understand until here and u explained it in 14 mins wow!! Thank you so much. Can you please also made a video on test coverage report and traceAbility report in Xray?

Hey Ayesha, I request you to please reply me answer here, if you know. for two project that is project 1 and project 2 which are interlink with each other but how can we generate issue test execution report combined, because if we try to select one project that corresponding issue is only displaying not for unselected project. I mean if you select project 1 and executing filter which contains project 1 and project 2 issues it is showing only project 1 related issues not project 2. How to display both issue under one project
Hi, @9:30 PETW-2/TC001 is a Linked Issue to the Story ...how did this happen? I watched you create the Test Case, but I didn't spot anything that suggested that it would be linked (unlike the Precondition, which was a conscious decision to add from within the Test Case) ...alternatively, if I had two stories in my board, how would I select which story my (new) test case was linked with? @5:36 you say you Ctrl-Click ...is this relevant (why Ctrl)? NB I have tried playing with this within a Team Managed Project, and found that my path (eg Projects/Python Essentials Tr.../PETW-1) was actually prompting me to add an Epic within the path (I could select the prompt in the path and it would direct me to create an Epic and select it, becoming part of the path). This is a neat feature, and something I will use, but I would like to understand how the linking works here. (I also note that the story id is not shown in your path, so I guess Epic is a different case.) >>> I have watched one of your other videos in which you have two stories, and proceed to Coverage and assigning the test to a Story. I am confused how it happens in this demonstration.
Hey there! To answer your first question, in order to link one story (let's call it story1) to a specific test case (call it test1), we would need to go to story1 and click on 'add tests' where test coverage is located. There you can click on test1 and add it to the story. Adding tests to stories is a manual step a user must do. I specified how to do this in my other video, in this video the same thing must be done, however I'm not sure why this video cut out that bit. For your second question, I said Ctrl-Click to open stories or tests in another tab (it's a windows feature), you'll notice that if you simply click on a story or test in backlog, it'll show up on your screen and not on another tab. Hope that helps!
Hello, to answer your question about Xray's comparison with ALM, know that ALM is a combination of requirement, quality, and development management. Using Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence, and Xray will provide the same features, however it is more efficient to use and more practiced in an Agile environment. As for your other questions, I've uploaded a recent video that is more in depth and covers what a test set is, what test executions are, and more!
Is it possible to have test cases imported from Excel sheet ? I have more than 5 steps and want to have it import from an excel sheet, but import option not available
Hey Sal, the test repository only comes with the Xray extension where test cases are added automatically, otherwise you can manually do it with Conflluence.

Can we save our test cases in folders without implementing Xray extension? Thanks
