This film tells the story about nature in the Barycz River valley and enormous Milicz ponds. This area is located in the south-western part of Poland (in the middle of Europe). I and my wife made it for 2 years.
Sir David Attenborough, a world-famous BBC nature documentary film maker, after watching the film "Rhythms of Nature in the Barycz Valley" wrote:
"I have viewed Rhythms of Nature with great pleasure.
    A lovely place, beautifully filmed"

Kinda amazing how they have evolved to become the ultimate parasite. Like, how the newborn chick knows instinctively that it has to remove its competition (by either pushing the eggs, or by pushing out the newly hatched chicks), and where it has evolved to know how to entice the parental birds to feed it in a much quicker frenzy than what they would naturally do with their own young

These animals are in an arms race of sorts, with birds like the Reed warbler getting better at stopping cuckoo birds from laying eggs in their nests and better at detecting eggs that they didn't lay, while cuckoo birds sometimes work with the male mimicking a hawk to distract so the female can lay eggs, as well as them evolving to make their eggs more similar to the species they were raised by so as to avoid detection by the host.

I wish a cuckoo would lay an egg near me. I would let it hatch and then toss it on the ground to starve alone while its mother watches.
Apparently the mother cuckoo sticks around to make sure the host doesn't reject the egg. It will destroy the entire nest if it comes back and it's egg is gone. The host bird might also abandon the nest if it comes back to fewer eggs so maybe letting it hatch and pretending it fell might save the host bird some trouble.

It also led me. Now I get why they shew the Cuckoo scene at the beginning of the movie.
The move was about some reptile-looking parasite more superior than human race "laid its egg" into the "nest" of a human couple that wanted to find a place to live and raise a family.
      Crazy movie.
