You are a treasure. I wish more Protestant pastors were as faithful to the word of God as you are. I am learning so much from your lectures, and although I don’t accept everything, as I am Catholic, I admire you greatly and will keep you in my prayers.
Well done Skip on addressing things that few others would. I salute you. Jack Hibbs is also expecting a prison ministry. Oh that we had more Godly Pastors like you both.
Legitimate question here for the fine pastors at Calvary - no snarkiness or argument to follow. I promise. I've heard and read that the New Testament passages that call homosexuality out as detestable have been misinterpreted from the original words. Apparently the words used in the original language (Greek? I'm still new to this and learning so much, so thank you!) can be translated to mean other things aside from homosexuality, and one article I read said it's more likely that the words meant pedophilia and NOT homosexuality. Some others claim that the original wording meant sexual depravity in general and didn't point specifically to homosexuality, but it was translated that way for whatever reason. Could any of this be true, or was the original Greek very specific about homosexuality? I've tried to research it on my own, but with my limited experience and the nature of the internet, I'm afraid I'd end up even more confused. Fantastic study here. Gives me a lot to talk to Jesus about this evening before I go to bed.
You say, "you have heard". Well from whom did you hear this? A Bible teacher or someone who has never read the Bible? Many people who have never read the Bible say all kinds of things about it, they are experts at attempting to make Gods Precious Word say things it does not say. But hear read this: All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; 2 Timothy 3:16. Notice it does say ALL SCRIPTURE, not just the bits you like!
@@margaretgreen1957 There was no need to be dismissive and snarky to a question so carefully posted. Whe simply asked for guidance. I do pray you do not treat other new believers with such contempt. How do they learn or find biblical resources with out asking?
@erin- from Genesis to the law to Jesus, and through the epistles, the consistent message is and always has been that sex is specifically reserved for the marriage bed which is defined by God in Genesis as being between man and woman. The people that try to spin this section of scripture to say anything different are twisting Gods Word and allowing their emotions to dictate their own theology, which means they are placing themselves above God’s Word. The human body is to be the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit and to introduce anything that is not defined or allowed by God is to sin directly against God and His image. Now, with all of this said, and I know it was kind of bluntly stated, I would like to congratulate you on your journey for the truth and accepting of what is revealed to you while you dig into the word. We are to love everyone with a brotherly love and be prepared to share the word with anyone at all times. Until a true fear of God is introduced into peoples lives, then there will be no actual repentance and America will continue down the path we are on and the only way that a healthy fear of God will ever be achieved, will be through education of the Truth. I hope I have helped in some way.
I think they should do a study on the divorce rate in marriages that were performed as a covenant with God by Christ following people then try to use the marriage between man and woman ratios to justify their sexual sins.
Why no specific prohibitions against fathers "having relations" with their daughters. Just a general prohibition for daughters where they are not even mentioned. I find it reprehensible that god never called out that specific sin. Or is it a sin? It's certainly a disgusting crime, but probably ok or not so bad in god's eye. With god anything is possible and almost everything is allowable with forgiveness. Disgusting absolutely disgusting.
Lev 18: 6 reads: "None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord." The prohibition is self-evident. It may be helpful to pray to the Lord for discernment before reading or receiving the Word. God be with you.
Thank you, Pastor Skip. God bless you for teaching us about the Bible. I am Catholic but I watch your videos all the time.

Thank you for speaking out about abortion, so many Christians think it’s acceptable 😢

I remind people of the “substances” that end up on them through gay sex. It’s shocking but gets the reality across.
