I have a question, ive read this verse a ton of times and want to know: is incest limited to the family members listed there? In other words, can people marry family members that are not there explicitly?
I have a problem with the interpretation of the Bible. While it says, "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination" Lev. 18:22. I feel that this is a biased interpretation of this verse. While this could have been written, I do not believe God said this. I feel the person who said is a biased person who said it. All men/women are subjected to indiscriminate biases whether they are men/women of God or not. Every church I've belonged to says it is an abomination to be gay, lesbian, bisexual, and pansexual. While this Bible is inspired by God, it is not dictated by God, and it could be that this person has biases against the LGBTQA+ population and said this as if it came from God, but it is only his view. I had some priests from Catholic School who said I would go to hell because I wasn't Catholic. While I now know this is untrue, that priest's biases against another religion interpreted my family's beliefs as an abomination. What is to say that this, too, could be an untrue statement from a biased man in the old times...remember this was written more than 2500 years ago.
Great message.🎉🎉🎉🎉
