- God instructed the children of Israel about what they could and could not eat, how a woman was to be purified after childbirth, and how to deal with diseases of the skin. As we consider this text in Leviticus, we discover that God is concerned about every detail of our lives as well. He wants to have a daily personal relationship with us, and He wants us to be holy and set apart for Him-separate from the world.
This teaching is from our series Leviticus - 2012 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.
According to Jesus, The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to little children.
Skip is my favorite teacher
I am watching this in 2022. I’m enjoying this, it helps me understand the scriptures. Thank you
God bless Calvary Chapel for these teachings.
I had never read these chapters in the way you explained
I am from CCF Manila, Philippines. I have been following your teaching since the book of Genesis. God has endowed you with the gift of teachings. I pray that I can visit your church, Calvary sometime. May God richly bless you Ptr Skip!
I feel the analogy between leprosy and sin is a very good one. Thanks a great Bible Study!
Thank you for your teaching, you made it better for understanding the book of Leviticus I’ve read this several time...
Great. Always was confused with these laws, love how you explain it. Bless you. Marcia. From Perth , Australia
Thanks Pastor Skip, for what you do. You doing your part of saving spiritual lives. For that I’m grateful to God I found you.🙏🏾💖🌞
I have been following the bible studies since Genesis.. it's awesome and informative not only about the word of God but so much history that the bible does not include... one of the things I remember while Skip went through Genesis he mentioned the history of christmas , the trees, easter eggs, all of which are pagan and a Babylonian custom.. so my question is why the Christmas trees in the background...
Christmas trees are "Evergreen" and Christmas wreaths are infinite circles, so both of these are representative of Christ. The tree represents our everlasting life and the wreath (also from evergreens) is the infinite circle of Jesus.
At least this is what I've always been told.
@@erindreams1790 NO WAY does a Christmas tree represent Christ! Where are you getting your Theology from? "Christmas wreaths are infinite circles!" WHAAT! Methinks you are following pagan customs! You have been told something you have never checked up on - extremely dangerous!
Calvary Church or Chapel not sure but thanks all the same.
I think the typical american diet follows these diet rules ie cows, lambs, goats, poultry, fish etc. Most of us eat pork but considering that improperly cooked pork got me very sick one time I pretty much steer away from it. I also know some people who got very sick on shellfish so pretty much stick to fish. But I’m betting the manna that God gave from heaven was the most satisfying and nutritious food that ever was present on earth!
Brilliant reply. Also when you think that prawns eat whatever is dead at the bottom of the sea I have to ask if we should be eating them!! Which is why we dont!
Jeremiah 10:1-5, per the background. Also, if we're not under the dietary law, then please reconcile Isaiah 66:15-17, which is end time judgment falling on those who eat the flesh of pigs.
44:15
Leviticus 13
Chapt 12:4 my Bible says 33 days NIV. Which is right?
Concerning the leprous skin conditions I wonder why God wouldn’t just heal them since He was dwelling with them rather than for example sending them off to live alone?
what bible version are you using?
21:15
Mary was sinless, and did not need to offer the sacrifice, but she did so to follow the law. Jesus didn’t need to be baptised, but he did it to ‘fulfil all righteousness”..
Mary was saved in her mothers womb.. in much the same way you might be saved by not getting on a plane before it crashes.
I think you are a brilliant mind Skip, but I’m surprised you haven’t researched why the Catholic Church teaches what it does, you of all people must know that the thousands of denominations that resulted from the reformation all teach different messages, saved by faith without needing to do anything (works) yet you even acknowledge that it’s not enough to be baptised if you don’t walk the walk, you’ll end up in hell?! Some believe in the rapture, some in infant baptism… I really admire you but I wish you’d read the catechism before criticising something you don’t seem to be educated in.
just another piece of ritualistic catholic nonsense to go with all the others, such as Papal infallibility, hail Mary's, rosary beads, infant baptism, confessional boxes and lest we forget the decades of child abuse perpetrated by pedophile priests, who were protected by the very church that you think is so great!
I like your mind Skip however I’d have to agree that you miss the mark with some of your teachings. I don’t think that you research enough or are educated enough in certain areas. I think that your message sometimes contradicts who Jesus is. To say that we can’t come in contact with those who are unclean. God has The Power to clean all of us. You yourself are still unclean. You wake up everyday a sinner. Yet people interact with you. We constantly ask God to redeem us. We have to know that God is a redeemer and is loving and forgiving. We have to try do our best to live better. Know that those who are lost will never reach Christ if we constantly treat them as lepers.
