ContusionsX s I’m aware of the story just not what he’s referring to in the video. The last clip of the grunt vs a Elite? Seems like a weird tie in to me.
They had amazing intellect and vast numbers so obviously they breed and had tech that would make them the equal in size and strength. Most grunts are not well trained and are mostly children on the battle field with no former training so I do believe that in the rebellion they focused on training as well.
I got to agree with you, the english speaking covenant were funny, but i dont hate that they speak their languages, the covenant speaking their languages actually made me crap bricks sometimes In the lore of halo the frontline covenant forces spoke english (major and minor grunts and elites) but special forces or covenant in high charity would speak their languages (zealots, generals and chieftains) It would be great if a halo game had the covenant speaking both their language and English, like all zealot and genral elites would bark orders in their languages, while the minor or major elites and grunts would speak english, taunting the player
The Covenant species didn't speak they're own languages. They all speak Sangheili as it is the basic language for them all. Also some could speak english but not all as you hear the translations of them speaking not the literal formation of english words.

Just wanted to point something out, because I think it could be beneficial for simple benchmarks like this. First off, I'm an actual game developer, with fluent knowledge of C++, C, C#, and Java (And I've used every programming language at least once, purely as a recreational hobby). I'm not trying to be pretentious, I just wanted to express my credentials before I continue with my suggestion. Having developed procedural worlds and general pseudo random algorithms for a game engine, I wanted to clarify that a sufficient test can only be obtained via more iterations. You said best out of 3, but if you talk to any programmer in the gaming industry, they will tell you that you will need upwards of 50 to 100 iterations to achieve a valid benchmark. This is due to the nature of probability, and how it is meant to be intrinsically "random". Now, I can blatantly see that the initial test between a 1v1 Sword Elite and a Chieftain is pretty set in stone, and naturally this has nothing to do with probability. The actions are quite simple in the fighting routine. Step 1. The Chieftain closes in Step 2. The Chieftain rears back for a strike with the Gravity Hammer Step 3. The Elite, which evidently has a higher initiative (not as a literal stat, but more as a faster attack animation) gets a hit off. Step 4. If the Chieftain is hit during his animation, he then branches off into an interrupted stagger animation, which cancels his attack. Step 5. The Elite hits the Chieftan Step 6. The Chieftain is staggered. Step 7. The Elite Hits the Chieftain. Step 8. The Chieftain dies. What we're dealing with here is basically a "stun lock". What we can easily glean from this is that there is barely any randomization involved between these two routines. Due to the speed of the animations, and the rule set presented, the Elite will always win simply because it has a faster animation. However, this changes greatly when more actors are added to either side, because probability starts to play a higher role in terms of who moves first, who is targeted first, where the Elites land after being struck, who is staggered, etc. Probability is dictated and shown in it's full light. Sorry if this is rambling, but I had time to kill. I would highly suggest testing with more actors on each side, and at a much higher number of iterations. To get the percent of wins you just take the number to successes divided by the total number of iterations. This will give you the projected percentile rate at which the elites and brutes are expected to win, but again, this is only valid with say 100 iterations or more.

@It's Cassidy well this is mostly based on skill of the zealot and the chieftain. If both to be "even" in skill and the brute wouldnt just rush foolishly towards the zealot the brute would absolutely win. However as brutes and even chieftains don't think or analyse the enemy n rush to battle and if the zealot would be skilled it would play with the chieftain like a bull and slice it in half. Of course the zealot could make mistakes n get blown in pieces by the hammer. But i would be on the zealots side on this one. Id say the chieftain would win most elites but zealot clan members are rare n very talented honourfull warriors so id put my money for them in that scenario. Also id be happy to talk about other scenarios too. Do you have discord?
vandell hammarlund The problem is the ones from Halo Legends only appear in this episode and nowhere else. They don't have AI for any game, and especially not Halo 3.
The elites are trained in a type of martial art were a brute is just brute force as in the name the elites should have one most of those but this is a game
The round where the one brute is slaughtering all the grunts is so hilarious as after basically killing off 90% of the grunts, the brute was defeated by just two.
The bodies flying from the gravity hammer setting off the grenades was hilarious to watch. Those hammers do more bad than good when it comes to team play for the brutes.

This is a halo video I never knew I needed to see
Why am I watching this
2:15 PENTA KILL! Killing Spree. Shutdown! Team Slayer.
Report for killing teammate. :D
The brute lost to the hunters but the grunts thrashed the hunters this goes to show brutes are CRAP... RRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHH
Professor SpyCrab there were shitload of grunts
I love how it was just 2 or 3 grunts that took down brute, while the rest were just panicking.
Gamecheat was the GOAT for doing this since this was way before MCC mods
Flood tanks vs hunters
That chaos round is what ferguson, Mo is gonna look like after the the grand jury decision this week
Do sword Elites vs Hunters in Halo 3
that last kill was the funniest I didn't see that coming don't fuck with the cameraman lol
The brutes killing more brutes than the elites fits pretty well with the lore.
A winner is Brutes!
I WANNA HEAR YOU BATTLE CRY
RAWR!

BULLSHIT YOU DIDN’T CONVINCE ME, LET ME SEE YOUR REAL WAR FACE
*AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!*
Were it so easy.
In reality an elite would win.
@It's Cassidy depends
@It's Cassidy well in combat it depends of rank/skill, weaponry and how tired/ is the fighter wounded.
@It's Cassidy i guess but zealots tho. The brutes must have amazing weaponry to fight those. If the zealots have their standart weaponry.
@It's Cassidy sounds reasonable to me. Is there other scenarios youd like to talk about?
The chaos round was the best because at the beginning there is just an explosion of brutes and elites that fly through the air.
Is this how totally accurate battlegrounds started?
scarab vs giant hunter
Farlon StormBlade
i know but like the ones from halo legends vs scarab
vandell hammarlund The problem is the ones from Halo Legends only appear in this episode and nowhere else. They don't have AI for any game, and especially not Halo 3.
PantMal
we shall never know
drones vs chieftain
The elites are trained in a type of martial art were a brute is just brute force as in the name the elites should have one most of those but this is a game
Best AI battle yet. (The early rounds were exceptionally good)
The round where the one brute is slaughtering all the grunts is so hilarious as after basically killing off 90% of the grunts, the brute was defeated by just two.
The team killing is strong with the brutes..
They need to make it in forge where we can spawn AI...i wana do this and make continously spawning flood and do a survival
Dual-sword wielding Arbiter. :D

Halo The Worldchampionship 2019 was live 4 months ago.😎
The bodies flying from the gravity hammer setting off the grenades was hilarious to watch. Those hammers do more bad than good when it comes to team play for the brutes.
