Hey friend, urgent help, how high is the "c" shaped clamp that is attached to the edge of the table? I ask you because the thickness of my table is very wide and I would like to have that information before buy the monitor. Excellent explanation
Great review. I'm considering buying one of these. Did you noticed that you had not selected the Benq screen on macOS when you were trying to change the resolution? I have a 4k screen and I can choose the same resolution (2560x1440) without third party apps. And if you option click on one of those screens representing different scalings, you get a lot more resolutions.
You can choose resolution from within MacOS settings, but you will not get the sharpest visuals. It's a MacOS issue. You will see noticeable difference in sharpness when changing resolution with BetterDisplay app vs MacOS settings. Watch this video to see the difference: ruclips.net/video/1z6SU-eyYQE/видео.html And check out the comments section.
@@teohontech7141 I get the exact same results because those are retina resolutions. The only "problem" with macOS is that you need to select a resolution that is half the resolution of the display. Any other resolution is not as sharp. But this happens no matter where you choose the resolution: in macOS or other app.
@@motionfxes With BetterDisplay app, you can select any resolution you want. Many people have this fuzzy resolution problem because they want to use their own UI scaling, not MacOS's preferred scaling. If your preference for UI scaling matches that of MacOS, it's just a luck factor.
@@teohyc As I said, macOS does not give you one possible scaling: all the options found on macos screen settings are HiDPI or Retina resolutions. They are represented by 5 screens with resolutions from 1504x846 to 2008x1692. And if you do an Alt + Click on any of those screens representing different type of scaling, you will get a bunch of new different Retina Resolutions. I get 12 different Retina resolutions on my 4k display, from 3360x1890 to the lowest 1152x648 when I alt+click on any of the screens representing the default scalings macOS gives you by default. Then you can enable "Show all resolutions" and then the lowest resolutions will appear and they are marked like this. Better Display is really nice and can be useful in some cases, but the problem related in the video does not exist since a very long time in macOS.
@@motionfxes Oh, I just checked. It seems like MacOS has finally added the extra options. I knew of the Alt-click shortcut but one year ago the options are still limited.
Hey Teoh, I know this monitor has the M-book mode for MacBooks. Are you saying that even with that featured on there are still scaling issues and issues connecting the sound?
That M-Book mode is a colour mode. You can solve UI scaling issues easily with BetterDisplay app so that's not a big problem. As for selecting sound source, I could not figure out how to adjust the sound from the keyboard. It is possible because I saw it happen but somehow the Mac lost the ability to do that halfway during my test probably some changed settings.
thanks for answering. Found it later on that evening, but BenQ isnt very common in Sweden where I live :P Are you still happy with it? I ordered one yesterday and can´t wait for it to be delivered!!! @@teohontech7141
Honestly with the rise of portable monitors I find it very hard to justify purchases for monitors like these. If I’m going to buy a huge monitor I’d top up a bit more and buy the Apple ones.
Compared to Asus ProArt PA279CRV which is better? Benq PD2706U? Since Asus is a recent release
Hi I was wondering if the pen displays could get the data and power via the monitor's USB -C ?
Hi Teoh, thanks for the informative review! How does this stack up against the Asus pro art pa279cv?
This has better colour accuracy, KVM switch, ergo arm, wired remote. ASUS has higher brightness, traditional monitor stand.

Is it possible to run 4k 60hz with single usb c cable?
Yes, possible
@@teohontech7141 but few people saying there is an bandwidth issue in this monitor and with usb c it can run only 4k 30hz, whats that?

@@teohontech7141 ahh I see, thanks for the clarification. I am considering the PD2506Q, it’s unfortunate it doesn’t come with ergonomic arm
@@Itscashb That's a good monitor. For the arm, you'll have to buy from other companies which of course is extra cost.
This true but it will save space on my small desk and it will be cheaper than this model.
What are your monitor arm recommendations?
@@Itscashb I don't have any recommendations. You can probably find many reviews on Amazon
Nice & Thanks :)
Do you need to have the mount you have, or is there a regular standing foot as well?
They also have this monitor with the traditional stand, and it's cheaper also.
