- Setup on a hanging feeder to record comparison video between a conventional camcorder (Panasonic) and the latest in digital technology, The Sionyx AURORA action camera that has low light capabilities.
There is a lot of questions circulating about the Aurora's night time performance versus other night vision technologies - hopefully this demonstration answers some of those questions.
Thanks for viewing Спорт
I can pretty much confirm what your video has shown. The Sionyx is definitely a fine tool for our application of predator and pest control. It’s also just fine for a monocular for spotting. The addition of IR really changes the game. I don’t even have to use my IR at it’s brightest setting to get fine results.
finally!
An great test video!
On other test videos (I have seen) are made in an urban environment. Or in a place, where light pollution is still present.
Thanks Man, I got more videos of night time hunts away from city lights too - check em out
Hi thank you so much for sharing this video, I have aurora ir night vision camera could please inform me how I can get the grayscale and green mode in twilight option or this feature in other versions in SiOnyx
Thank you very much for the helpful review, please give me your opinion What is the best multicolored night vision camera?
X27 Osprey looks pretty good, but probably an outrageous price.
Thanks!
It looks like you are using the Aurora in 60fps and 30fps mode, right? It gets several times better sensitivity when using anything less, with 7.5fps being the best for low light.
Yeah those Sionyx set up are nice!! Cant wait for their GEN 2!!!
J D do you know when gen2 is coming out?
@@DAN-se8fl out now for preorder
530pm was official sunset , disregard the incorrect notation on the 5pm Panasonic scene
So the SiOnyx zooms in ? I was thinking it was only 1x zoom ? How many yards away was deer ?
The Sionyx is a base 1.0 x magnification - it has a digital zoom that can be used versus a manual optical zoom.
@@pigpoppertx6926 So it automatically zooms in if needed on what your viewing ? Thinking about getting one of these, been watching any/all RUclips videos with information. Thanks for information and Great Video
No it doesn’t automatically zoom, the user has to press a button to zoom. Digital zoom is when the image is cropped and enlarged to zoom as opposed to old school optical zoom like rifle scopes where you turn the ring to zoom.
The Sionyx is a decent camera inside of 75 yards for various uses. Traditional camcorders , their zoom is much better at distance but they don’t work at night.
Goodluck with your purchase !
mines don't have green mode only grey
Hey was the quality that bad on it?
quality of build is fine
quality of the image in pitch black or even half moon is not great.
I find that I take it with me on full moon nights and then I don't need to mess with IR lights and such
the light flooding is invisible but not where the light is comingf
rom
Sorry to tell you but on any camera if its on 60fps it'll be atleast 2x as dark as 30fps the shutter speed is double
And this is the issue with digital night vision of any kind. It will always suffer at passive use. The only way to effectively use digital night vision with no ambient lighting (moon, stars, artificial lights sources like street lights) is with an IR light source.
IR lights to other night vision users look like bright flashlights.
Gen 3+ is the only way to effectively run passively with night vision.
Based on how digital night vision works. Passive use will never be a thing.
RECORDS SOUND ?
YES IT DOES !
how to change to green mode and night color mode?
Quick press the Enter button to access the night color mode menu
A long press won’t get you to that menu
my sionyx don't have green and light like yours do
Quick press the Enter button to access the night color mode menu
A long press won’t get you to that menu
i think PARD NV007 with IR is better works then it .
Recoil from medium to heavy calibers would probably shake the Pard apart.
The sionyx isn’t a primary weapon mount device , more of a hand scanner to assist with spotting when the conditions are right.
It's not sharp. Like no focus.
thats because he didnt focus the lense properly,
It's only 720p. But for good reason.
IF THATS A GOOD REPRESENTATION, ITS CRAP FOR THE MONEY" DREDFUL IMAGE QUALITY.
