- Building on her previous webinar, Charlotte introduces the concept of ICM (Intentional Camera Movement), and then looks at all the factors that contribute to the creation of an ICM image. She believes the process starts before you even pick up the camera and she discusses this concept together with the technical aspects of the craft including the camera settings and the direction and speed of the movement as well as aspects such as composition and contrast.
About Charlotte
Charlotte Bellamy’s creative style of photography is inspired by the environment in which she lives. Her early photographic career over 10 years ago, tended towards portraits and weddings. However, a move to the Netherlands triggered her interest in landscapes. After five years following a traditional landscape photography path, she felt a need to express her feelings about the locations she was photographing and fell in love with ICM photography. Charlotte offers online training in creative photography including ICM and multiple exposures, and guides photographic tours to the tulips and autumn woodlands of the Netherlands. Charlotte is a panel member and judge with The Guild of Photographers in the UK. Her images have won her numerous awards including ‘all-round photographer of the year’ two years running with The Guild. Her work has been published in the ‘Creative light’ and ‘On Landscape’ online magazines and in ‘Camera craft’ magazine in the UK.

The most informative RUclips tutorial for ICM and the kind of tutorial if not better to the ones in uni! It went beyond technique but explained the emotive art behind it in order to understand why to use certain movements within the technique of ICM👏👏 Thank you!!

I have been just been to my first Equine shoot at a jumping contest. Focused on fast shutter speed to freeze the action, but have been looking for ICM images of same with no success . By chance have you had any experience or know of some experiences of same that I can view or listen to if videos have been posted on the net. Thank you\
excellent but je ne comprend pas le mouvement draw?
Excellent vid, I got a great deal of value from your vid.
Great, thanks for letting us know.
Hi Charolette, I wanted to ask would you expect to see pixilation in the sky if you are using ISO64, ND8, f22, 0.6 sec? I was out shooting the ocean and when I came back to view in LR, I could see pixilation in the sky. I shoot RAW on a Nikon Z7 w/ 24-70mm f4s.
Very informative video. I want to be a photographer. I need your suggestion what is the process to be there
That's a long story. The best method is to shoot lots of images and look critically at your images to see how they can be improved.
What is lensbaby? Abre they expensive ? Are there necessary for this kind of photos?
You can create ICM images with any lens, not just Lensbabies. This link may explain your other questions: camerajabber.com/buyersguides/best-lensbaby-lenses/
Is it easier to use shutter priority?
You can, but you don’t get the control over the depth of field via aperture.
@@SheClicks thank you!
I need subtitle in spanish please
