    Very nice country Posázaví with lot of the turistic,and water turistic places Castles Český Šternberk, Ledeč nad Sázavou, Zruč nad Sázavou, Rataje nad Sázavou. Perfect to holiday time.

      This fact Is Věry often in the critical fronty thé 1974year! Věry Smallville Aires And not air changing big windows také Věry hot interiérs (more70grade Celsius!) And way buildt 600 pcs thé motor cars! Producent šaty to used IT ONLY to maximal 20km Linea(13miles), but ČSD And ČD enterprise way used IT on thé Linea more100 km long!!! But in the consteuct they Are wordly rail buses, with thé autobus Karosa type power units.

    I found out by chance the live station Cercany and from this day on i go watching the trains arriving and leaving this beautiful station, specially the city elephant, i have already watched videos on youtube from Prague-Benesov-Prague Cercany-Prague-Cercany in another direction and Sazava-Cercany-Sazava, this one is realy a long trip, but i have always seen them full, sometimes i wonder how comes once sometimes it is only one part. I already love Cercany, even without being to Czech Republic.

    Very interesting is also track from Rumburk to Děčín via Germany (Sebnitz and Bad Schandau).
    If I counted correctly, track crosses river Sebnitz (flowing from the Czech republic under name Vilémovský potok and being borderline between both countries) twenty-seven times. And then it crosses also Labe (Elbe).
    However, there is (almost?) nothing interesting to see, as most buildings are abandoned and/or desolated.
    And similar is track from Pegnitz to Hersbruck (and then to Nürnberg). There track crosses river Pegnitz also almost thirty times. But on much longer distance. But I only saw record from driver cabin of locomotive with freigt train.

    Shades of the UK Pacer units that have just been retired, great to see they've kept branch lines open. Shame this didn't happen in the UK.

    Love it. Old school.
    So I really need to make plans for 2023 to manage to ride them. I guess this type of Railbus is still in use in Hungary, I am not sure if they are still running in Slovakia.

    That's one super cute EMU that your country offers 😍 Honestly, one of the best modes of transport that serve between rural and town areas, especially villages. I'm so envious as my country doesn't provide such a convenient mode of transportation like this.

      Thanks for watching! Yes, these little railbuses are interesting, also our railway network which is connecting many small villages. But we don't have any short-haul or domestic flights here.

      @@PeteBrandy That makes sense if domestic flights are unavailable considering the size of the country. When it comes to long-distance, intercity trains will play the role followed by commuter trains and railbuses for suburbs and rural where everyone is served no matter where you are ⠀ . I'm really impressed with😃 Another thing which I'm really impressed with is just how beautifully maintained the EMUs are despite their age. Whereas in my nation, old stocks are constantly replaced by new rolling stocks which is truly sad for me...

      @@darrishng6540 we actually had domestic flights in the past, but it's already canceled for many years, I think there was some plane from Prague to Ostrava, which is like 270 km

    Já třeba proti těmto vlakům nic nemám, když to předělali nas stahovací okna. Nejradši jsem měl právě ten sklopný seat s výhledem na kolej a byl sem tam sám. Paradoxně tady máš na nohy více místa než v 1. třídě u ABpee :D Railbusy jsou u mě velkoprostoráky celkově :D

      Mě zrovna 810 také nevadí, protože jsou zpravidla používány na tratích kde se hodí. Navíc ty rekonstruované mají celkem prostor a otevírací okna.. Zrovna včera jsem jel Pendolinem a říkal jsem si, že prostor na nohy u stolečkových míst v 1. třídě je skoro stejný jako v 810 nebo RegioNovách :-D

      @@PeteBrandy Ono v pendolinu se jednička a dvojka liší jen potahem seatů a dvojnásobně dražším jízdným. Celkově ty vlaky SC jsou naprosto zbytečné, kdyby to dali jako povinně místenkové IC, tak bych to pochopil. Takový railjet je mnohem reprezentativnější vlak než pendo.

      Thank you so much! Sometimes it's good to ride such an older classic train, I like them. But in terms of content, local trains are more difficult to film due to shorter journey time and higher turnover of passengers :-D

    People call it railbus, but better spend 2 hours in this, than 30 minutes in bus 😀 I am surprised it's still going at some lines without modernisation (just seats are newer). Here in my village, we have mostly regionova, but when you go by the last train or very early in morning, they sometimes send original old version.

      I have the same opinion, I'd rather take this railbus than a bus :-D I saw the original unrefurbished 810 in regular service on the route Rakovník - Bečov nad Teplou.

      @@PeteBrandy Já tim jezdil hlavně do Vranýho, což je asi součást posázavskýho pacifiku, ale to už je víc jak 10 let. Líbilo se mi na těhle vlacích že sice to občas cestou začalo hořet nebo kouřit a lidi museli přejít do jinýho vagonu, ale člověk vždycky dojel. Když jezdim teď do Prahy city elefantama, tak se občas stává že nedojedeš vubec. 🙂

      @@Pidalin Ono se dá teď od Června dvěma způsoby, rychlejší trasou CityElefantem a nebo přes Vrané nad Vltavou (dolní Pacifik).. Jinak je pravda, že u Elefanta stačí málo a nedojede, což třeba u starých pantografů (žabotlam) šlo spoustu závad opravit na místě a pokračovat dál.. Jinak přes Vrané teď jezdí většinou RegioNovy a víkendy Brejlovec / Barča s patrovými vozy Bdmteeo

    Moc pěkné, musí to být krásný výhled z vlaku. Rád bych se tam někdy projel. Ta 810 vypadá dobře po rekonstrukci, ale ten vůz pořád nic moc

      Ano, Pacifik je opravdu hezké trať. Jinak 810 se sem i celkem hodí, a ta rekonstruovaná vypadá dobře (teda až na uspořádání sedadel 3+2 a jednonápravové podvozky).

      This train is more like a tourist/sightseeing service. Buses usually run shorter routes to individual locations.

    Connections with locomotives are operated on weekends and national holidays, from April to October.
    Two times per day. I don't know start time - but in Ledečko they are at four and at five o'clock.
    Highway bridge over Sázava in Hvězdonice can be visible in movie "Odyseus a hvězdy" in the beginning of its construction.
    And in Stříbrná Skalice, you might see "summer cottage" owned and maintained by Ministry of Defence. Few meters afar from railstop, in direction to Sázava. Originally there was also sign that it is military object (adn entrance is forbidden), but it fell down some time ago.

    I am almost surprised that these were never exported to East Germany. They would have been perfect on many of the now-closed branch lines there.

      these trains are probably better than what arriva is using here now, modernised version of old 810 class is regionova unit which is not that bad when you realize that it's actually just facelifted old 810 class

    To je nejhezčí trať co znám a samozřejmě pro nejlepší zážitek, zajetá v 810. :) Když nad tím tak přemýšlím tak ještě zbývá spoustu zajímavých linek.. Švestkovka s AŽD, Karlovy Vary - Mariánské Lázně a mnoho dalších. Plus od nového GVD budou Pesy v Ústí, Moravie do Blanska, rychlík do Vídně přes Velenice a mnoho dalšího. :)

      Souhlasím! Jedna z nejhezčích tratí v Česku :-) Švestkovou určitě vyzkouším a s novým grafikonem určitě Pesa Elf, Morava a rád bych Canopus do Curychu.. S tou Silva Nortica ještě nevím, co jsem vypozoroval, tak to bude jen Lužnice, navíc ve Velenicích zkrácená na 4 vozy 2. třídy (takže proti Cityjetům celkem zhoršení) Jinak to pro nový GVD asi nebude tak pestré jako loni.

    Bezvadné video!! taková překrásná krajina!! Moc jsi si to užil že? Moc mě těší že 810 se tak pěkné povedli, vypadají po renovaci ještě lépe než ze z výrobního závodu. Opravdu klobouk dolů.

      Mockrát díky! Posázaví je jedna z nejkrásnějších lokalit v okolí Prahy, ta trať je velmi oblíbená (především v létě). Ty renovace 810 jsou celkem povedené, na Ostravsku dokonce jezdí i několik vozů s klimatizací.

      There are usually no wheelchair accessible stations on this route. But most locations there are served by buses, and most suburban buses are already low-entry with access for wheelchairs.

      Díky moc za shlédnutí! Ano, je to moc hezká trať a trvalo mi skoro 2 roky, než jsem se k té cestě dostal (teda jeden pokus ještě byl, ale kvůli mlze jsem se v Čerčanech otočil a vrátil do Prahy). Myslím, že v Čechách jedna z mála tratí, kde ještě jezdí 810 s vlečňákem :-)

      A má jednu velkou výhodu, když je celá republika rozsekaná tim že se zase něco stalo někde na hlavnim koridoru z Prahy do Kolína, tak Posázavský pacifik je většinou jediná trať která jezdí včas.

    Were built... no, they literally infested whole Czechoslovakia and Hungary too.
    But, as You said, thanks those "lunchboxes" many branch lines got saved from closure, wich they started in 1974-75... until nowadays.
    ...and some lines were reopened at least for weekends and bank holidays.
    In my opinion - as a technician, the best reconstruction is the Slovak class 811 nicknamed "Mandarinka", they have an axle configuration Ao'Ao' - electric power transmission and full adhesive weight, best fitted into the mountainous regions of Slovakia.
    As a passenger, of course, I have different point of view.
    Thanks for the trip report from the famous "Posázavský pacifik". I wish once maybe I can get there...

      Yes, many cars of this type were built. But I think that the main problem was their inappropriate use on long routes. I've seen the Slovak version "Mandarinka", it is also used by some carriers in the Czech Republic :-)

      Yeees, I remember in the 80s the loco hauled "Eight-doorers" and "Baikas" from Tatra Smíchov were replaced by those "motors"... the noon peak
      hour train looked like 9 cars, 3 motor and 6 trailers of it... this kind of trains is so called "crude oil.pipeline" (at least, not some explicit lyrics).

      @@PeteBrandy Yep, they'll be used on the Most - Moldava v Krušných horách (T8) line by Railway Capital starting with the new 2022/2023 GVD, which I'd say is the perfect use for them. (I personally think that during the winter season it'll be 811 + Bdtax + 811, ČD did the same thing last year with their 810 + Bdtax + 810).
      You could also see them on the Kadaň-Prunéřov - Podbořany route during the summer
