Those are the type of things that hooked me. I loved shows like American Chopper but the drama was always such a turn off for me. I just want to see cool people doing cool things while having a great time.
What a wonderful thing to see Paul and his son work together! That’s a bond you can never break in life!! You can tell Paul and Michelle have raised their kids well!! Landon reminds me of my son. Very cool!!
Landon is blessed to have a Dad teaching him how to do that work. I didn't have that and when I was that age. It's great to see the two of you work together as a team. I love seeing the "Golden Nugget" coming together. It's gonna be an awesome ride for Ed when it's all done. I especially enjoy seeing all you RUclipsr's working together on this project.

Landon is becoming a competent apprentice. He’ll have those truck parts worked off in no time. Fab Rats videos are like Christmas as a kid. It’s along time till the next one.
Nothing better than see the youngster doing things with the ole man. Can’t wait until this is finished to see the look on Ed’s face. Thanks for sharing
It is a joy watching Paul and Landon working together. Paul trusts Landon to do the job and Landon exhibits the competence to do the job. They are a great father and son team.
You’re a great dad Paul. Even when you’re busy you stop and take time to teach your son how to properly do the important things and let him learn on his own on the rest.
15:19 Vintage bee's nest in the wheel well, gotta love it. Such a great series, can't wait for Ed's reaction and to see him cruising. Bravo, Fab Rats!!
I was gunna point that out, you beat me to it. They should leave it there until Robby gets the nugget. Would love to see his reaction to finding it has survived the trip and the build. Edit: Just remembered, we overwhelmingly voted for the body swap. I wonder if Robby will have the same lapse of memory and still give us a funny reaction.
Watching you and Lan working together reminds me of my youth spending time with my Dad. Those are times that will never be forgotten. Great times spent with a great family doing great things!

I absolutely love the Vice Grip Garage reference. Great American fathers watching other great American fathers. I can’t wait for this project to be finished! Ed’s reaction will make it all worthwhile.
Awesome…. You’re son will thank you one day for teaching him the things that you have learned over the years… it’s better to be taught the right way than to learn the hard way…thanks guys….
Low RPM with a little cutting oil . Have used carbide bits , cobalt often . I usually can get a bite with a quality normal bit , but as soon as you add a little speed you burn the cutting edge . Enjoying the build . I drive a 97' Tracker and so far the driveline has held up well .
Yes good advice. At a former workplace I had to drill and tap hard steel and occasionally stainless, with carbide bits. As soon as you spin it and heat it up that bit is done and it makes it harder for the next one to bite also. Super low rpm, lots of pressure, cutting oil, and clear your chips often.👍
Loved the typical shop banter combined with the father-son vibe. And of course, the father's payback in terms of holding the drop light. Some things are universal. :)
I had a flashback watching the end of the video, my dad was always saying, shine the light where I’m looking, not in my eye!🤣🤣 Great stuff Fab Rats, can’t wait to see the nugget back on the road 👍👍
I love how RUclips has woven together a vast car/truck/hotrod community. From Fab Rats to 1320 to Matt's Off Road Recovery to Vice Grip Garage... and old Cleetus of course.... we are in a new era of automotive improvements on a grassroots level!

Great video Fab Rats! The most heart-warming part was the view just before Paul's cat-like moves. The view of father and son wielding hammers on a rebuild should bring a tear to your eye Paul. Lando is learning from the best! "...get a bigger hammer." Awesome stuff!!
In past videos I kept thinking, how does he know how to do all this stuff?!?! Today I saw how you are teaching your son and that's how you learned too. Good job! 👍😉
Glad to see how you work and teach Landon. I truly cherish the times and hours my Dad and I spent in the shop. And Lando, the " Hi-Yah's" is a handed down Top Secret, tip. Learn it and hand it down to your son.
I was already impressed with the Running Gear upgrades; with the wider Suzuki Samurai axles with larger rear Brakes and newer front disc Brakes, ALL Major. But, now even further upgrades continue WOW! With additional 4x4 5.11 locker gears front and rear axles, new axle seals/bearings, new Front Manual Locking Hubs Plus, the upgrade drive line with the Slip-Yoke unit installed. Ed’s LJ20 Build just gets better and better. I can hardly wait to see Ed drive it for the first time.
Love seeing Lan working on stuff instead of behind the camera! He shows just how much he has learned from his father and it’s awesome to see the family resemblance. Keep up the good work and I love your videos!
First job I learned helping my dad was how to hold the light, next was finding the right wrench, moved to parts cleaning, then working with him watching, eventually I found myself doing the work while he sat in the house!
How awesome you and son working together and he is learning so much I hope he appreciates the time he spends with you I know you do. My dad was an alcoholic and never spent time with me. God bless your family
I had 5 new videos to view this morning... but I have been waiting to see the Golden Nugget update... Love this project and real Mountain Dew too... Amazing to see you constantly meeting and conquering challenge after challenge... We had a "Not Me" at our house too... 55 years ago... Great teamwork and mentorship too, a Jedi knight and a Padawan apprentice, and that wonderful light keeps him away from the Dark Side... Thanks You... Looking forward to Sunday mornings for updates
Landon is taking over!! Another skilled hand in the shop, I’m sure his teacher is proud. Best Golden Nugget Video thus far having your right hand man turning wrenches with you. Why’s your mind wandering Paul lol
I am always disappointed when the video ends...I could watch you guys work all day long. Great video. It is nice to watch someone who really knows what they are doing with complete confidence. Looking forward to completion of the Golden Nugget.

Another amazing video getting closer to having the mechanical part done before it goes off to paint. I enjoyed how you had your son in there teaching him is a great thing

Tip for Landon, hold a rag over the hub while your tanking spring clips and stuff out, keeps em from flying so far.
And use the right tool... the one you used to put them back in.
