    I kinda liked Mystery Guest featuring the letter X as possibly my favorite game show from Sesame Street aside from hearing that Cowboy X is the main character of that episode even though the music does give me goosebumps from old memories.

    He doesn't know that X is a letter, yet in the cartoon, he keeps yelling "Letter X, Letter X, Whoopie". Keep in mind that the cartoon came before his appearance on Sesame Street, so how could he not know that X is a letter?

    You know, if Oscar hadn't interrupted. Big Bird would have announced the sponsors and the production.

    Wow it's interesting to see that this character got an acutal puppet version of himself made for the show also he sounds a bit different from how he sounded in the animated skit while Micheal earl voiced him in this episode I wonder who voiced him in the animated segment? Also in that mystery guest segment I love how the contestants blindfolded where Don music
    Sherlock hemlock and cookie monster I wonder if thier are more of those mystery guest segments if so I'd love to see what other's exist if there are any other's that do exist

    I remember seeing another episode that had both Cowboy X and Cowboy O as two separate cowboys where Bob spoke to Cowboy X and Uncle Wally spoke to Cowboy O explaining not to put "X's" and "O's" around Sesame Street and they disagreed. Near the end they played a game of "Tic Tac Toe."

      +afriendofbean : You're not the only one who saw the tic-tac-toe episode; I think Uncle Wally suggested that the two cowboys cooperate by playing the game (instead of tagging the whole street with letters). Two random sound-bites from that show: (1) One of the cowboys -- I forget which -- has trouble remembering a "fancy Eastern word" like "cooperation". (2) After announcing the Things of the Day at the end, Elmo blurts out "Tic-tac-toe!"

      Hopefully that one will turn up someday as well. I guess it was late enough to include Elmo.

      justlooking12313 I don't remember too much of that episode with Cowboy X and Cowboy O but, I do remember that Bob and Uncle Wally were standing in front of Hooper's Store and Cowboy X came out on one side and Cowboy O came another side and I do remember Bob telling Uncle Wally if he remembers what happened to the town of Sniddler's Gulch (the cartoon skit was on that episode too before the muppet cowboys were seen). I do remember Bob spoke to Cowboy X and Uncle Wally was the one who spoke with Cowboy O where a horse brought out paper for Cowboy X and Cowboy O to make X's and O's. I even remember during that episode both cowboys were in a restaurant and they asked their waitress each for a piece of paper where Cowboy X wanted paper to make X's and Cowboy O wanted one to make O's. Unfortunately there was only one piece of paper where both cowboys were fighting over it and the waitress suggested they share the paper and play Tic Tac Toe. At the end of the episode, I remember Cowboy X accidentally marked a horse in the nose with an X as the cowboys were playing Tic Tac Toe.

      ***** And it wasn't Charlie's? That might've made things even funnier with Grover at the helm.

      MonsterpieceTheatre This restaurant that Cowboy X and Cowboy O were in was the same restaurant that Sinister Sam and Bad Bart came too.

    Hmm, I remember Luis as "Senior Zero" as he makes the mark of the number zero. (A parody of Senior Zorro, who makes the mark of the Z).

    • @JustLooking
      @JustLooking 8 лет назад +1

      +BuddyBoy600alt : Yes indeed; Señor Zero started appearing in the mid-1980s as a secret identity of Luis. The running gag was that another character would casually mention the absence of something ("none left", "nothing", or similar wording). Luis would get a strange expression on his face and excuse himself on a silly errand (such as "I have to take my goldfish for a walk"). Shortly afterward, a flamenco-like riff would play on a Spanish guitar as Señor Zero entered; he'd introduce himself and his mission, then remove one of the colorful 0's from his Zorro-like costume. Leaving the numeral in the empty spot, Señor Zero would exit dramatically and switch back to Luis off-camera.

      probably the same animation crew, back then animation was tough,tedious and time consuming, hours spent working for seconds of usable product.

    Who's Cowboy X?

  • @afriendofbean
    @afriendofbean 8 лет назад

    I'm not too familiar with Mr. Macintosh but, does he usually talk on Sesame Street? I don't know why he was so quiet from 1:50-1:58 since as soon as he walked away, Maria looked at him like she was saying "why doesn't he say anything?" (Since he's a fruit peddler, he must be talking while selling and to tell people how much a certain fruit costs).
