I first heard this in an illegal rave in south London sometime in 87/88 mixed with Dexter Wandels Life on mars. Hearing in now takes me right back to seedy, crampt sweaty clubs under arches, in carwashes, gyms with glass floors, dry Ice, coloured lights, the smell of Dewberry, recreational pharmaceuticals and dancing all night long with the warm glow that everyone in there was your best mate for life !! Haha !! Happy, happy days, I wouldn't have missed it for the world !!!!
This brings back memories of doing too many Cali`s at the Flower shop party in Forest Hill SE London, then taking a window pane the night after and trying to book myself into A&E at Lewisham Hospital because I was being chased by a load of tulips. HAPPY DAYS!!!
I'm Lewisham boy remember going to cheeks in deptford when Southside radio had a night there and all the old boys couldn't believe what they saw. When calli was a calli.
I remember the flowershop, it was in Forest Hill. It was run by Blaine Scanlon from De Ja vu. Local face from south east. Window panes were a bit busy. Preffered nut nuts.
You mean Blaine Scanlons do in the basement... I went to that good lord I aint thought of that place for many, many years. That was a proper rave and was what we were all about then... nice one
A track I don't have on tape and not heard for well over 20yrs and I'd actually forgotten about it untill out of nowhere whilst driving my bus it came into my head??? Why?? Why now?? Lol. Glad it did and I remembered it correctly too 😎. Still find it strange that happened to me today.
HOUSEISHOUSE09 I can remember walking past there when I was a mod thinking look at those nutters dancing in their smiley face T-shirts and shorts. 2 weeks later one of my best friends told me about these raves and I should come with him. Never looked back 🙏🏻 I was now one of those nutters. Having an awesome time. Twilights was my first club lots of Beleric. Tony Wilson used to play there. I still go out now every now and then. I’m 50
I remember me and a few mates wandering in to a little mod club near the fittnes centre.. crazy I remember getting sum really strange looks from all these mods we were out off our heads giving everyone great big smiles👍
First heard this Haunted House joint in '88' on Studio FM. The 'Jack Lad' Tony James Sunday morning show. Nice beat, Nice rhythm..The chorus used to freak me out a little!! Coming from a Christian upbringing (Know what I mean). I would of preferred 'Dance with the Angels'. hehe...lol
Window pain, my first. Microdot, I saw my mate have a really nasty trip on one and it put me off trips altogether. What year did purple oms hit the UK?

Killer tune.. 1luv 😎
Great stuff Mark..........lots of memories with this one
This was playing the first time I walked in the Haçienda in 88, tripping on mushrooms 😅
This tune is fucking having it 😎
Samples The Fini Tribe's The Testimony
no it doesn't, the melody is re-played using a bell sample, not a sample of fini tribe's much better track.
@@griffowolfhackmine yes it does
1:10 Armagedon-don-don! Armagedon-don-don!
This is known to be the official version of this song. The unofficial version has the balearic mix & the cult mix but with different vocals
They used to play this at Axis in Boston and on WJUL Lowell back in the day .
Brilliant
First heard this at a rave called Asylum.
