  • The Cult Classic film The Doom Generation has a lot of overlap and even had an impact on modern fashion almost two decades after its release and in this video we want to explore that.

The bob haircut in both Doom Generation & Pulp Fiction is a reference to Anna Karina in Godard's Vivre Sa Vie

fun fact: Jordan's ministry shirt was Gregg Araki's own, it featured in his previous two films ( the living end and totally fucked up) Jordan's blue and yellow shirt was actually owned by the director of photography, it is oversized because that man is 6'3!!

Love the fits in this movie, you did a great job at tying it back to real modern people, like Playboi Carti, Orville Peck, and ASAP Rocky. I like your content because it feels really original compared to other fashion content where I see the same Adidas Sambas and Birkenstock Bostons over and over. You should do a style breakdown of Indiana Jones next!

Thank you I’m glad you thought so! Part of the reason is I think films often have amazing outfits that people can use as inspiration but I’m also of the mindset of buying less so it’s hard to make pickups videos all the time when I buy a couple pieces a month at most. I love that idea! It’s getting put on the list

This was a 90s film. I'm not gonna say that 90s fashion is the standard above other fashion's, because the 80s and 70s were just as loud. I would say that the 90s has a lot to say and we have a lot to take in from that decade.
