Your doctor's sound exactly like ours a new building no appointments available, call in and no patients in waiting room and always number 40 in queue when you phone dead on 8 o'clock in the morning. Just don't get sick 😊😊😊
I used to go with my father to work in my summer holidays, waiting in a van with a book, while he was building and servicing industrial batteries, so worked with lead and chemicals, the areas where the batteries were smelled horrible, no H&S and he also died at the age of 53. He was such lovely man.😊
Blimey what a carry on, good job you can send photos by email etc what would happen to someone who didn’t know how . It’s all too much Trevor ! The doctors should have contacted hospital for you and sorted it .. if you had been to poorly and on your own god help you 🤞pills arrive tomorrow Xx
That's all very true Jane. I am beginning to wonder if there are any doctors at my surgery. There is no one there answering phones, just a lady sat behind a desk in a fine empty building. The hospital is crazy busy, and the chemist is crazy busy, but the surgery is as calm as a millpond. Can anyone explain 🤔
I watch a lot of RUclipsrs in America that live either in a van or even a car because they can't afford rent. But they seem to be happy. Glad you're both feeling a bit better. Happy Christmas.
The thing about America is that to get to a warm climate you just have to drive. We have to get on a ship and drive a thousand mile to another country to find some heat. But it's good to hear that people are happy living in their cars and vans.
Both my teenage Grandkids have a lttle job at an hotel in Huddersfield, ones 16 at collage the other 19 hes just left collage and didnt want to go uni but he does have a job
Everybody who I know saying the same thing, making you travel miles when ill and having to jump through hoops to get what you need, it’s about time this labour government did something about it like they promised.
Exactly the same thing going on here. Brand new (much bigger) surgery built last year in our village (near Tarporley, Cheshire) Hardly another soul in there whenever we go. Reception very quiet, unlike before when it was normal to see patients needing to see someone. What the hell is happening?
Reading the title, I think thought you were going to get a paper round! 😂 if you have a job that you love doing then you are much better off. Take care!! xx
@ I worked as a mid day supervisor for nearly 20 years, really enjoyed it, playing with the children and tormenting the one that you could. School was always asking for favours, could never say no, it was for the kids! Part of me didn’t want to leave but after ordering our VW camper, the draw of travelling was greater. Enjoying our last day in Lanzarote, ✈️ Wednesday last week, although it’s quite cloudy today but still warm. Take care! if we lived closer we would had come and helped with the tip run. xx
Crazy how hard they make it on you just to get your tablets. I hope this is now added on to come regular delivery now. I don’t think it’s uncommon to not always like your job but you know you must continue because life is not free. Not sure the young are taught that life is not free. Everything provided costs money. I don’t think your granddaughter is the only young one that has not gasp what living is all about. That when you live in a house together you all work together. Nothing in life is free. You and Pat are looking well hopefully you are all over this very soon. Take care you two.
You're absolutely right! Life does come with its challenges, and it's important to teach the younger generation about the value of hard work and responsibility. Thanks for your kind words about Pat and me; we're doing our best to navigate through it all Debbie.
If you have children its best be married. The law protects the wife and children. I had a friend who wasnt married, her partner was in a car accident , was in a coma, his parents had total charge , made decisions about his care, when he died, she got nothing. Her children were ok, but parents got the hoyse. Yes the law is an ass
My friends granddaughter is at uni and she found work as a waitress and doing bar work in local pub. It was ideal for her and they worked round her uni hours. As you said, your granddaughter needs to find something to give her a bit of independence and some money. I think it's easier for girls to get jobs than boys.
It's great to hear that your friend's granddaughter found a job that fits her schedule! Gaining independence while studying is such an important step. Alethia has not got it yet, she hasn't woken up to the realities of life.
Thanks Pat and Trevor and I'm sitting nodding my head when your talking about getting your tablets and I don't know why everything is so difficult now 😲the system is nowhere near as good as it used to be ! hope you get your tablets tomorrow 😊
I would say most kids of today are the same, not all but a lot of them are ! Haven't got a clue ! Of course there are some who are very good but there's an awful lot that haven't got a clue, We have youngsters asking for part time jobs in a very busy Restaurant, they have never even washed up a cup at home, never changed a bed, done washing, What are they going to do?!! It's said the average age now of leaving home is mid 30's ! It's no wonder if they get everything done for them.
I think you raise some valid points about the current generation and their life skills. It’s important for kids to learn basic responsibilities at home to prepare them for the real world. Before mobile phones, boredom was a catalyst for us all to do something practical, but now young people are content to just waste hours watching stuff I don't even understand.

It's beginning to sound very suspicious Sandra.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the Bush. He's got a job, the other is getting some experience. I like that.
Hope you get your tablets ok Trevor. No wonder A&E is full to overflowing. The whole system has gone to pot sadly. See you tomorrow, bye!
The GP surgery have got it sussed. Appointment only and when we are full, sod off to A&E.
Everybody who I know saying the same thing, making you travel miles when ill and having to jump through hoops to get what you need, it’s about time this labour government did something about it like they promised.
I am beginning to think the setup is deliberate, it's not got like this by accident.

I know Barbara, that is a very good question, that I don't think we are allowed to ask.

LOL, right? A paper round would be a throwback! But you nailed it-loving your job is what it’s all about! Take care! xx

I should probably do a tip run in our little car for Tracey.
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun please don’t over do it, remember you’ve been poorly!

That's an example to us all ,make sure if go in hospital to get discharge note about tablets
Ye, wish I had known that Liz.

Totally get what you mean! The law can really mess things up. It's a wild ride, and sometimes it feels like a game where the rules keep changing!

Thank you, I hope so too. I am about to ring the surgery, not a pleasant thought.
