Locknath Singh - Well said. Keeping that in mind the first thing I taught when they said "Duck rice" was "Duck Rice à Minhota" or "Arroz de Pato à Minhota" in Portuguese. Minho being a region on the North of Portugal. It's finished in the oven with sliced orange and "Chouriço". Preferably cooked in a clay pot. Believe me it's totally worth looking for the recipe. He is deserving of his " Doctorate" for implementing his technique and ideas to produce a more efficient way of Rice Farming using Ducks. It's a Win Win situation for him and his Farm. I hope to see more of this technique all over the World and less pesticides. Great video.

They get murdered as soon as they are nearing adulthood! This could be adapted for duck egg production (instead of meat) and Non-GE rice could be grown instead of GE rice.
The Azolla is a nitrogen fixer as well as cover for the fish and yes, of course it is duck food. Remember this is a rice field, if not for Azolla and snail eggs there's not much for a duck to eat.

@Fintin Collins Unfortunately they will like that... The Golden rice @9:29 mins is almost certainly genetically engineered "Golden Rice".... They have spread it through asia, etc. And of course it cross-pollinates Non-GE rice and passes on the "transgene", so the seeds (rice) that are produced are GE..... There's also GE rice which has had human genes transferred into the genome, so that the rice produces human blood albumin (a human blood protein)........ I'm sad to report that the situation is much, much worse than most people realise. If you care about nature and want safe genuine food to eat for you, your family and others, then I suggest that you start trying to grow 100% of your food and save the genuine Non-GE plants in the process. It would also be wise to research hand-pollination, so that you can avoid contamination of the plants by pollen from GE plants. This is necessary in order to save Non-GE seeds to grow again. Greenhouses can also help with avoiding pollen from GE plants. Consider growing as many plants as possible, (for food, medicine, clothing, etc) because "they" are literally messing with all life and that includes humans and other animals and also insects, fungi, bacteria, etc. All life. The company Monsanto (purchased by Bayer a year or so ago) is just a small part of it - Universities, companies, private labs throughout the world are all researching, developing and releasing genetically engineered creations regularly :( Save what you can while there is still time and advise others to do the same. I guess it cross-pollinated the plants during field trials. If you do some research on various GE plants, you will notice a trend of contamination during field trials, etc. And that's just the "contamination events" that have been documented and disclosed. Imagine how many haven't been documented, or disclosed.......... It happens frequently!

During their happy lives, they promote the growth of quality rice. People are omnivores, and plant-based diets are unhealthy. Period.
When will humans learn, it's virtually always a bad idea to introduce a species to an area where it has no predators. It always goes badly. Trying to fix that problem by introducing predators will also backfire. Animals (and plants) want to reproduce. Reproduce they will. If there is nothing already in place that will keep their numbers in check, they will soon be a huge problem. Look at stray cats and dogs. Cats and dogs are nice pets, but if you let them roam wild without having them spayed/neutered, they will soon take over the area, kill off a lot of wildlife, and they will suffer a lot due to lack of food. If ducks will eat these snails in a good enough number, they may be useful, so long as the ducks can't escape into the wild. The good thing about ducks is they have a lot of predators so even if a few escape, they are unlikely to ever become a big problem to the local ecosystem.
