insane storytelling with so many twist, beautiful pokemon sprite and amazing world building, this game is easily the best fangame i've ever played so far
One thing I love that this game does that not a lot of Pokémon games do is bring up that the Mc is basically mute and uses it as a plot point for the Mc. On the elevator ride, Eda brings it up when trying to converse with us. Sakura straight up says we’re way more lively when intoxicated. The Mc’s rising hatred of feeling like a foot soldier being on standby for orders like a NPC and it being resolved by Lucario was beautiful.
Honestly i also didn't like having riolu as a starter at first but it really grows on you honestsly! also from what i reach the story is really good , i still have a bit to progress tho. even tho its still in beta and not completed its really promising and easily one of the best fangames i played.
One of the better fangames out there in development for sure. The first quarter of it isn't anything special (and I don't like Riolu as a starter) but the story does grow on you as time goes on. As you mentioned though, there are problems here and there. This is one what I will go back to when it is closer to being fully complete. I have a feeling they'll tweak the difficulty modes to provide a bigger challenge as well before all is said and done too.
I finished Unbreakable Ties (up to the point it's at) and I have to say it's a phenomenal game! The story was intriguing, the visuals absolutely stunning, and the QoL features were very appreciated. We were completely spoiled by this game, and now that I've caught up, I've been having difficulty finding a game that holds up to it. I guess the only thing I'd say is that sometimes it gets frustrating having to play as the other characters. It's a novel concept and it's fun a lot of the time, but later in the game it happens quite often and they last quite a while. Still, Unbreakable Ties really had set a new standard for pokemon fan games, and I wish the developers all the best in completing the game!
5:10 I also agree with this btw, you aren't alone lol. I was really quite annoyed at the beginning but I thought the way they handled the concept at the ending parts of the (current) story was interesting and not something I've experienced before.

Okay this is the best Pokémon fan game ever made because this gives Pokémon Black & White vibes with that animation art style and Pokémon moving in the battles that I love this is like Pokémon Xenoverse too! 😊❤
The creator should be extremely proud of his work. Im trying to remember if it was true that he created this project mostly on his own. If so, that is incredible!! My first fangame being Xenoverse, i didn't think another fangame would come close to my expectations but Unbreakable took it over the top! Looking forward to future updates and a 2nd playthrough of this game!! Gamefreak, TAKE BETTER NOTES!!!

You know, when it comes to battle backgrounds, at least they have them and they try to match them up with the scenery. So many fan games are just boring with their plain coloured backgrounds. Game developers: We spend so much time in a battle scene. At least make what we look at engaging to look at. Unbreakable ties does that. Not perfect, but they do.
Ive played a good chunk of the game, I like it and im gonna finish it and keep up with updates. My only real issue with the game that there are a few to many casual Pokémon memes(vaporeon jokes most of all) that just kinda make me roll my eyes

Best Pokemon Fan games with fakemon: 1.) INFINITY 2.) Uranium 3.) Solar Light Lunar Dark. Pokemon Infinite Fusion has the best sprites and tons of replayability with how many combinations there are. Easily my top 4 fan games of all time. Shout out to some of the others i didnt find as good but were worth playing once: Empyrean, Jade, Void, Myth, Insurgence, Xenoverse. Currently playing the Vanguard update which should be mentioned here too. Excited for the update coming soon.
For me, Riolu started out as a good pokemon/lynchpin for my battle strategies, but around the third gym became less and less important. And I actually wanted to take him off my team in the haunted forest when we get the shiny litwick. Was very disappointed I couldn't.
I judge my pokemon games by only 4 criteria, does it have Goomy, how fast can I obtain it, can I make a full dragon team and how fast I can make it. Most pokemon fangames score poorly in this system
The forced Riolu is a double edged sword. Yea it’s annoying not being able to 6/6 pick your team, especially if you’re like me who doesn’t like to double up on types. I love Gallade but I decided against it because of Lucario. However if the Riolu wasn’t forced then the story beat that happened at the end of current version wouldn’t have hit nowhere near as hard.
Thought I wouldn’t play a fan game as peak as rejuvenation but then this game happened. Ps. Don’t worry Ayrei I’m gonna start vanguard on thanksgiving break.
@@ray0064 Yeah which is pretty impressive considering it is a relatively shorter game yet managed to do a lot with it's plot and characters. Plus I think the emotional scenes in this one hit way harder than any other fangame but that's just my opinion.

From the prison arc with Darek onward to the end of the game there sooo many “OH SHIT” moments. Then the end of the game with what happens you know who’s Pokémon. I was left speechless for a solid ten minutes.
I haven’t played many in a while the last I tried was reminiscence and one I can’t remember the name of, the last fan game I got to the post game of was xenoverse. But I found vanguard and have been loving it. And I will certainly check out unbreakable ties as well
Is radical mode nuzlocke too? Because my riolu fainted amd wont revive at the pokecenter... it just says "deb" under its name when i go to the summary. Anyone have this problem too? 😢
When I had a pokemon faint in battle it was gone from my party after the battle was over. Did you happen to find out if radical makes the game a nuzlocke?
Someone made the point that spanish devs are more casual going and focus on graphics and story, while English devs focus on gameplay. Which makes a lot of sense when spanish games usually look better but are most of the time pretty boring on the gameplay with their lack of any sort of difficulty

lol I love some challenge in pokemon games, but I’ve found myself really struggling in certain areas in vanguard to the point I went from normal to casual. I might switch back to normal and see how it goes since the discord is really helpful

I might be alone on this take but unbreakable ties just isn't for me, the story is alright I guess graphics are good but there's wayyyy more text in the game than actual gameplay, feels more like I'm reading a movie than actually playing a game which is soo boring to me, and there isn't really any new ground breaking features at all. The maps are nice but insanely linear, and 'pffft' difficulty lol, doesnt exist at all. I know it's probably just me that can't enjoy the game cause I play a lot of Pokémon fan games but man this was tough for me to sit and play. its literally all story and nothing else

every gen 1-9 pokemon is in the game but alot of pokeon are nerfed for 0 reason like lunala and quacklys final evolution
