  • In this video, I will unbox the Qwertykeys QK75N mechanical keyboard, give you a detailed look at its design, and make typing sound tests. The QK75N is an incredibly well built keyboard that I tested with smooth Neo White linear switches with both FR4 plate & Aluminum plate! This board sound heavenly thocky & feel goood! It comes barebone, so I decided to tested it with JTK HSA HyperFuse keycaps which make it look even better!
The keyboard uses magnetic connectors on the PCB which is quite a highlight for me! It comes in 7 Colorways - 7 themes with unique styles were designed, along with 14 color combinations themes with unique styles were designed, along with 14 color combinations. I personally chose the Navy version which looks so good!
Hey there, folks! I'm J-S, and I'm all about making sound test videos for mechanical and non-mechanical keyboards. From the latest MX switches to those classic vintage keyboards, Click and Thock is where you'll find all the keyboard sounds you crave.
I'm talking everything from old-school Alps SKCM switches and IBM Buckling Springs to the freshest Kailh BOX switches. I put 'em all to the test and compare the different sounds these switches and keyboards create.
I also like to experiment with different plates, cases, switches, keycaps, and other components to see how they affect the sound. To keep things fair, I always use the same case, plate, and keycaps when comparing sounds.
Thanks @qwertykeys for providing this keyboard! These donations really help the channel to grow. This was sent to me without any conditions. I can assure you that I will stay impartial in my videos and will always give my honest opinions in reviews and comments.

I think it's sad that you didn't know the connector a bit more during the video, cuz it really looks a nice touch !
Anyway, this board as the other QK ones has a sick design, really modern but not too fancy. I like that a lot. And that back plate with the badge is a really nice combo ❤
Would have love to hear what it sounds like without PE sheet nor plate foam tho.
And god damnit those keycaps are glossy ! 😂

I looove glossy keycaps!! :) Yes you are right, maybe I should make a quick short video about the connector!!

I want a thocky keyboard similar to the original QK75, any suggestions? If my ears serve me right, this QK75N sounds more clacky.

This one would be a great option, of course the sound will depend of your configuration (the amount of foam you put in, the plate you choose and the switches you choose)! This one could be very thocky.

A couple things and one deal killer .. first, I prefer Home, Page Up, Page Down and End .. with a space like any normal 75. Second, that has got to be the cheapest PCB I've seen in anything but a bargain basement keyboard.
_Also, I wish that people would get over it and start making more North facing LEDs. South facing is like an LED in your eyeball and completely destroys any possibility of a normal shine through keycap because people are worried about a handful of cheap Chinese knockoff switches and keycaps that may interfere with one another, maybe because somebody didn't measure their stuff right in the first place that they copied..._

You are right, I will start to work on something about North facing... Thanks for your comments!

South facing is the correct orientation for Cherry switches, used since 1984. North facing was/is only used for LED compatability, but causes interference with cherry-profile keycaps (because they were never designed to be used in this orientation. Ironically, some of the 'cheap Chinese knockoffs' use redesigned top housings to prevent this interference.
This also isn't an inherent design flaw, north-facing is was not the desired operating condition. The Cherry logo is upside down in the north-facing orientation. Cjerry profile is also the default keycap profile for cherry switches (because it was designed by Cherry), so again it's not an issue of Chinese 'knockoffs'. Again, ironically, it's different profiles from China and other places that don't have issues with north-facing switches

@@oatmilk9918 .. Umm no it's not. It kills having shine through keycaps which were around I don't know .. AT LEAST A DECADE AGO!!! None of the legitimate cherry MX switches and keycaps had any issues whatsoever. The problem again is the counterfeit and half arsed clones.

@@DJaquithFL Cherry profile keycaps interfere with Cherry switches in the north-facing orientation, you can literally test it yourself with a loose switch, keycap and piece of paper.
Gaming brands (Corsair, Razer, Steelseries etc) rarely used/use cherry-profile keycaps, often OEM or other non-cherry profiles which don't intefere. Most people don't even know about interference and even less are bothered about it outside of the enthusiast communities, so if there were issues with interference with gaming brands then I doubt it would have been noted.
Cherry profile is a profile and only a profile, anyone can make them and they will be extremely similar in dimensions because there are documented dimensions to follow (same for hole sizing for plates and everything else, it's all to the cherry spec, unless redesigned to remove interference, for example). In fact, when switches and keycaps deviate from the Cherry spec there are issues like pins being to small or too tight in PCBs, switches not fitting into plates, keycaps being loose or tight etc.
GMK CYL has interference with MX blacks (both of which are Cherry moulds) in the north-facing orientation, nothing to do with 'counterfeits' and clones.
In fact, China and other countries have done a lot more to innovate than Cherry has in the last decade. Cherry didn't change their design for almost 40 years until MX2A last year.

@@oatmilk9918 .. No, the authentic Cherry MX switches absolutely have no problem whatsoever. Get it through the head of yours it's ONLY THE POORLY MADE (BAD COPIES) CLONES WITH THE INTERFERENCE!
