If you look at this show and also the way it use to be with people in former days and in many small towns it might still be like this. Everybody knows everybody. People coming together in church. Can you imagine lhop without them going to church and worshiping God and being taught the word of God by this good, kind reverand? I can't.
Without them believing in God they would have no reason to commune together in church and to love and care for one another the special way they do.

What was sad about it? Actually it was a happy ending; it was a joyous thing that Mr. Edwards came into the church and sit down beside Grace and she was so happy to see him.

When "god" has let u down over and over it is hard to belive he gives a damn about u. especially when u do rely on god to fix things that are wrong in your life.When things go so wrong in your life after wishing for something good and no good happens your strength begins to vanish.

So in a way that's exactly what Mr. Edwards was doing since he felt that if "God had no time for him, then he had no time for God". Both those quotes are approximately what was said.

thats not right..
if mr edwards dont believe,she cant tell him things that has to do with God,like punish him,what for..
he didnt believe therefor he cant punish god.
i never believed in my whole life,it works

@nikkidanielle1969: I'm not so sure God doesn't make any bad thinks happen. In fact he does so, maybe in order to test us. Or, on the other hand he just doesn't stop bad things from happening because he thinks it's our responsibility not to let them happen. Or maybe Mr. Edwards' wife and daughter just died because they drank contaminated water. That happens. In that case it's not God's responsibility or any person's but just bad luck. You can't blame everything on God either like Mr. Edwards did

Ok so what happen between him and Grace. Why did they stop dating. I seem to remember future eps where she is trying to make him jealous so he will ask her out and then they get married to take in the kids who's parents died.

@BecomeMyNewCat I can do w/o god I have 4 yrs, plus the only person I can rely on is me. Im agnostic i want 2 blieve in god i just not sure he truly exist, but i do believe in me.plus i dont know why u brought up teenagers? Im not 1 im 43
