Thanks for the video, thinking of picking one up to cast ligher lures than my SLX DC 151. What would you say the casting weight range is on that reel is?
@@Matte-s2l I would say 2g and up will be more comfortable for this reel. But I hardly fish below 2g anyway so it works out for me. It will definitely outcast the SLX DC when it comes to light stuff. The overall feel is great and premium too. ☺
@@Matte-s2l while I haven't tested it yet, I'm very sure 10-12g will work well. This reel isn't marketed as a bfs reel anyway. Pretty sure 30-40g is fine too. I'll have to try it out one of these days!
@@rpl4eva29 For a CDM, I'm quite blown away by the retrieve. Much smoother than all the CDMs I have. Definitely not an issue. What I really like are the knobs and how they feel too.
@@Hazynotplayer hi, nothing is really immune to salt. Although copper gears fare better than aluminium gears. This reel has a copper pinion gear and aluminium gear. That being said, I casted in salt from a boat the whole day and there was no corrosion. You need to rinse any reel in warm water after salt sessions. I opened it up to service it a few weeks after my salt session and everything was fine.
