I have to admit I was kinda hating at first… Hearing your reflection towards the end of the video. Is really inspiring and thought provoking. The fact that you are that aware of your self and are doing something to change what you don’t like in your self is nothing short of amazing. You’re a good man !
@@goldengoat1737 I really appreciate that! Thank you for sharing! The journey really did mean a lot to me, and while goofy and imperfect I am frequently, I was trying very hard and continue to do so to live a meaningful life. Isn’t always easy!
@ I have always wanted to do something like this so it’s really inspire me to get off my but and do it! I commented on one of your other videos why are you using a kart instead of a backpack?
Hey man, so glad you posted again, this is dude from the Gas station in The Dalles OR, was starting to wonder and worry about your journey, balls of steel my guy.
Nice backflip! Isaiah, I just came across your channel. You're an inspiration! I pray that at the end of your journey, you have found some answers to many of the questions you have been asking yourself. All my best.
Thanks Victor! You're the man! I've finished the walk and am going to be finishing turning the rest of the footage into videos. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
Been following you on TikTok and Facebook and now I found your RUclips channel so I can start from the beginning. I was just curious how you keep your phone in cameras and drone charged. ? You’re an inspiration to a lot of people that should think deep about their life and make decisions like this. I’ve always wanted to travel around the US but of course my health is so bad I can’t walk but I wish I had the money to afford to buy a camper and just travel around
Nice back flip! This is one of the earlier ones I had missed - glad I'm persistent in going back & checking. I still can't figure out how to get them in order. So glad you were determined enough and persistent enough to start and complete Walk America. By sharing it, you brought so much to others, too. Wish I knew how to bring your videos & posts to the attention of more people.
I found your videos because Im planning to relocate to Colorado via bike 🚲. I've been homeless for a few months and decided if Im going to be homeless I better do something cool. Hoping it also says something about me when I get to Colorado and am looking for work. Only difference is that it looks like you have a bit of money.
Nice backflip!! Lol loving your story... wish I'd known from the beginning but I'm in Maryland and only learned about you when you went thru delmarva. God speed! Be safe!
Nice backflip!! 😄 I just recently discovered you and then I saw you on my road in Norwich Connecticut (I didn't have a chance to stop and say hi, which was a bummer, but you did give me a peace sign lol as I drove by). I am really enjoying following your journey and started watching your videos from the beginning. Amazing!! Love your outlook and story telling! I wish you luck on your journey!
Hey man! I ran into you at the Utah Idaho border. You better be taking care of your feet! I just went backpacking and lost my big toenail!!! Keep them trimmed, wear wool or synthetic socks, and most of all NICE SHOES! Maybe do an episode on what you are doing for specific things like taking care of your feet, your equipment, your sunscreen, you know silly stuff that is put to a serious test. Love what you are doing, and keep your spirits up.
I remember! Taking care of my feet is one of the highest priorities! I'm on my third pair of shoes haha. I like the idea for the episode! I'll jot that one down. Look for it to come out at some point!
I'm glad you're enjoying it Miranda! Its certainly been an experience! I don't know for sure, but it sure feels like a fair amount when I have to push it up hill!
I’m in ft Collins Colorado at the moment. Weather reactions depend on a lot of variables. If there are big storms in the forecast I try to get to a town or city I can find shelter in or to a place someone has offered me a room with a family member or friend of theirs. If I get caught in a storm there’s often no choice but to just walk through it!
You’d think, but I actually tried it for my first 6 weeks of my current Europe walk. The amount of camera gear I have etc made it wear me down so fast. The trip is much more enjoyable without all the weight physically on my body.
Did you ever get stopped by police or get bothered by people when you camped in the side of the road? My son is planning on doing a walk across America starting this June. I would love to hear any advice!
Stopped by the police, all the time. But they’re 99 percent friendly and helpful. Bothered by people on the side of the road, rarely. These days I camp in the side of the road fairly infrequently. Best to be out of sight and out of mind when possible. That can be one of the harder aspects of doing this! For sure. Check out Instagram for daily updates if you’re interested! Igshields27
Thanks man! Sometimes the effort is what counts! and like I always say, there are two approaches to life and circumstance: laugh about it or cry about it. I choose the former! and blood is just a good reminder of memories

It’s the ultimate quest!

Just saw you in Wilsonville Oregon and looked you up. Badass trip man, I wish you luck
Not for the faint of heart! Hope you enjoy the journey! Thanks for checking out the channel!
that "buggy" is perfect....
Well, the idea was sound. You’ll see the initial buggy didn’t hold up well at all if you keep watching!
Curious why you are using the “buggy” instead of a large backpack?
Nice back flip!

Appreciate it! Turns out going through Weiser was a great decision!
Just saw you on the 5 headed north in Oregon outside Wilsonville! Keep on keeping on from your newest subscriber!
Keep on keeping on! Thank you Craig! Stay in touch!
I'd devise a way to have the buggy connected to my hips ..pulling it backwards. ( it probably won't steer backwards) Just to change things up
I tried that at various points haha. I found pushing it to be easier
Not Knowing gives you a view of who you are and what your becoming!
just say you in tualatin on boones ferry keep up the good work
Appreciate it! Thanks for checking in! Hope you enjoy following along!
Dude that was a sweet backflip. You need to write a book or full length documentary or something
Thanks man! Maybe both? Book and documentary! Glad you're enjoying the journey!
Keep on walking dude!
You got it! Walking is what I do!
Nice back flip
Appreciate it! It’s a good time!
Maybe it doesn’t matter now two years later, but dude: VeRy NICE Backflip!!
I been working on it my man! Glad to see a little appreciation!
Seen you at a gas station think it was in UTAH. I was on a motorcycle riding to Washington. Have a safe juarney
Thanks Tony! It was nice to meet you in the middle of nowhere, if I remember correctly, that was the name of the gas station!
My Daughter and I saw you in Aurora, OR! Sub’d! We are excited to follow your journey! Keep up the good video content!
Glad you decided to check out the channel! Thanks for the support! Hope you enjoy following along!
Hey Isaiah! It’s Cohen from clackamas Oregon who you stayed at!
Hey Cohen! Glad you’re enjoying the videos! Thanks for walking with me!
@@YouDoYouShields your welcome!
I'm really enjoying following your journey. You are going to be ripped by the end of this! Do you know how heavy your cart is?
I'm glad you're enjoying it Miranda! Its certainly been an experience!
I don't know for sure, but it sure feels like a fair amount when I have to push it up hill!
Bro, nice backflip!
Off of a two story balcony too! not bad!
Nice backflip!
Now thats what I call a fan! Thanks for the support!
How do you keep your device charger.. I've always wanted to do this ...
I had a little solar panel and some batteries!
Where are u know an how do u do when u come to weather
I’m in ft Collins Colorado at the moment.

Been practicing!
Just saw you on 39th and main in Vancouver next to Chevron and Arco. Need a place for a shower?? Internet and power lol let me know. In Vancouver
Thanks for reaching out James! Did alright that evening!
was it hard to map out your path? I'm currently looking to do a long walk through a few states.
Wouldn’t backpacking give you more flexibility? There is lightweight gear available.
You’d think, but I actually tried it for my first 6 weeks of my current Europe walk. The amount of camera gear I have etc made it wear me down so fast. The trip is much more enjoyable without all the weight physically on my body.
I didn’t account for the extra camera gear. Most hikers use their phones for videoing.
@@JD03ish for sure! There’s pros and cons to both styles, but this way works better for my interests having tried both!
Nice... front flip (Am I doing this right?)
You're pretty close! And the thought counts for something!
Nice Backflip -B
I have a particular set of skills!
holy crap nice back flip dude! Don't injure yourself this early on the trip!
Got to take calculated risks for sure! Its a delicate balance!
