Had the same issue after returning to the game, some trucks just can’t handle auto. Some are just too heavy, try different gear boxes/tires and slap those puppies in high gear/low+ and see what happens
this was an issue that Nathan Province tested and Vlad Vulcan with NakedDave confirmed. After season 14 when you have FPS above 120 the game cannot handle the physics computations coupled with those frames and the trucks are weaker. If you limit your FPS to 60 in settings this will solve the issue. It is confirmed and documented.
@@HrosoSK That is an old school problem, physics tied to FPS! Good to know though I have a high refresh Nvida Gsync monitor so I was letting it match that, so I'll go lock it to 60 with V-sync.
much bigger thing is ficing tarmac not be like ice when you have any sort of speed. Also why rocks are oiled or something as rocks give a lot of grip in real life unlike in snowrunner
This video is a reminder of just how a breath of fresh air you are among SnowRunner-oriented creators. Sometimes you have to work with little information, but instead of throwing minutes of literal filler into your videos, you keep them short, to the point, and with that topping of lovely British humour. The smile one needs in a dark November afternoon after hours of freelance work. I'm looking forward to a proper snowy map, and curious as to what challenges await us, considering that since Amur we have added to our fleets quite the bunch of powerful heavy trucks. I remember playing Amur when it first released, and back then unlocking the ZiKZ 605R was a true game-changer. When I did a second playthrough of Amur adding a few mod trucks, it didn't feel as hard as the first time - and I wasn't even using OP monstrosities to help me out. The biggest mystery for me remains the link between Canada and penguins… 😉 Cheers and thanks for the update! //Rick
I agree, as difficult as AMUR was, it is my absolute favorite map on snowrunner, closely followed by Lake Kovd. Best Snowrunner maps IMO. I just hope that they put some elbow grease on these maps and not just roll out re-used assets or map layouts. Amur for all of its difficulty feels so unique to play and you need to plan everything. Edit: I know that this is a slim possibility but I hope that they add some Russian Origin offroad/heavy trucks to the game soon.
Me too, this could be the DLC to bring back the veterans. There are other games with ample tarmac, SnowRunner should not be one of them. As you said, hopefully the devs have worked hard on it.
If they did, you'd get butthurt messages from the people who already 100% the game, complaining that they have to pay to 100%... Seen it happen multiple times in multiple games.
Hooray! Thanks Ben for the wonderful news! I'm a faithful Snowrunner player, almost 1900 hours on the clock (EGS for the fist year, STEAM since its release on the platform) and I grew a bit anxious about the way the devs follow, which is the gameplay simplification. New seasons haven't been a challenge anymore for quite some time now, the more happy I am to hear the incoming Season 15 is about to turn the tide :)
I just started playing the Kola Peninsula’s content and so far I am loving it. I tried the Maine content before, but nothing beats “them Northern Lights”… long live Snowrunner!
HELL YES! Finally a difficult region again! And with Snow to boost! My spirits are high up and fired! As a german I would really like to finally see some or one vehicle of Mercedes in the game! That would really be awesome.
Kola was hard (for me) as I was still learning the game, and didn't have a lot of the trucks yet. I expected it to be like Alaska, but Alaska had actual roads... no, you have to drive ON the ice (good luck), and the path between the two maps was just awful. Imandra had even worse "paths", a bridge we should've been able to fix, and THAT DAMN TREE!! the airplane recovery mission had me so frustrated I didn't play for 3 months. and then there was Amur... weeks of grinding slowly through thick snow and sliding on icy roads, constantly getting vehicles stuck on rocks or sketchy water crossings, hours of playing but accomplishing very little. when the truck that was recovering the rocket trailer got stuck in the town and ran out of fuel, I just never went back. Amur is the only season I haven't finished. currently I am just short of 1900 hours in the game, so yes I enjoy playing it and yes I'm looking forward to the new season. But there's a big difference between a game being challenging and a game being so difficult it's not fun.
The region might be set in the Northwestern Territories due to its history of mining and the oil industry. Also, one of the confirmed trucks will be based on TB800, a Swiss, V12 61-ton heavy tractor truck built pull 2 cargos 2 times its weight.
Tree stumps that get in the way is stupid as it it makes the limitations of the game WAY too obvious. In the real world you'd just get out of the truck, grab your chainsaw and get rid of it.
Personally I would like an Ice Road Trucker-esque DLC mission, long ice-snow roads with a risk of falling through the cracks at any given moment to deliver mass amounts of cargo to a place normally undrivable without this recent ice.
The question is whether the map will be intelligently designed or we will again have to deal with absurd and unrealistic wilderness like in the case of Kola and Amur. Will the creators design the region so that we get intelligent but difficult transport, or will it just look comical?
Fr slapping 20 feet deep mud everywhere and being forced to deliver 150 pieces of cargo to a small house on top of the highest mountain where the roads leading to it are 4 feet wide is what the devs see as a challenging yet "realistic" region.
Exactly. Snowrunner needs more challenging regions. Now we have solid trucks and much more experience. Regions should be more difficult and have fewer garages to be a challenge, not a cake walk.
What annoys me is that for challenges you must either use the Tatarin or the Vorons/Taigas nowadays if you want the gold (barely). Back in the first 3 maps, you could use any scout or pretty much any truck and still get gold, as far as you had the skills. I want challenges that will let me use any scout or truck, and it will be down to my skills, not the vehicle. On the original 3 maps, some challenges have you going through a narrow, windy road, towards the top of a mountain. Only small scouts can go through here, as you got a very narrow road to go through, with trees and hills on the sides. Others, you have to deliver a scout trailer through some woodlands where only scouts can go through. Those were better than the "go in straight line through heavy snow/mud quick with no skill required" type of challenges we've got nowadays and are clearly aimed at the OP trucks. I hope they get more creative and fix that, because most of the scouts are obsolete: Only Tatarin and F-750 are worth driving.
That's honestly so true. The first 3 regions of Snowrunner felt like even the worst vehicles could bring a smile to everybody, a cozy trip along the offroad routes in the late 1900s, But when the dlcs came along, and more regions were added, it began to lose its charm, slowly turning into a sluggish boring mess. Heck, even the timeline is messed up, introducing mid 1900s vehicles in one dlcs and then introducing a 2020s vehicle in the next dlc? Is this some kind of "old but gold" shenanigans where we're using outdated trucks in the modern era? Bloody hell.
Penguins reside in the southern hemisphere only. The rig in the screenshot looks like a semi-submerisble platform (normally used for drilling in deep water). Having run Amur in Hard mode, at the time, yes, it was hard. However, difficulty is somewhat subjective especially now as the Year 2, 3 and 4 passes have brough some very large powerful trucks. When Amur came around, the best truck suited for it was locked behind a few hours of hard work but now you can rock up there with a Mastodon, FEMM, PLAD, Atom and the Kenworth 963 to name a few. The latter of which trivialises Imandra. Artificial difficulty has always played a part in the snowy regions with the much hated "blue snow" but hopefully the new region is not just slogging through that. Difficulty can come downto just selecting an inappropriate vehicle for the mission. Overall I wonder how much the developers inter-mix "difficulty" and "time taken" when describing the difficulty of a region. Definitely looking forward to a new challenge (and potential Mercedes trucks) and hoping that the difficulty isn't from "dodgy" terrain designed to fully impede you...blue snow

Thank you! To be honest, any of the recent super trucks such as the FEMM 37-AT and Atom are hard to beat. I also love the Azov 73210 and DAN 96320. As for scouts, the Ford F750 is a great support vehicle and for sheer exploration range the new EarthRoamers are mighty. Yeah my original theory is about a distant cousin and the image that sneaks in with the words Cape Parry in this video show another bird that is similar and native to Northern Canada.
Whoever is responsible for designing Maine and making the design choice to have the only way to open access to the left hand side of the first island only unlockable from the SIDE that you CAN'T REASONABLY GET TO without doing some janky bullshit a very merry needles in your corneas. Tedious=/=hard=/=challenging=/=fun. Difficult can be fun, but only when done correctly, I hope they get that.
@VCN01 oh god. This was just before the game launched or something when they showed reeling out and deployable anchors/bridges. I believe they said "we'll bring any advances back into snowrunner..." I think it was a forum post or a steam post where they were answering a Q&A.
penguins are all native to antarctica and the surrounding region with the exception 3 species which is reside in south africa and namibia. so i'm going for bad geography
I don't mind a hard region but like I said to someone else. maybe Nathan, why does it have to be snow = hard? Why can't we get an easy going snowing region like Alaska and a super hard summer region? That's how the base game was, Taymir, a summer map, was the hardest map. But then in the DLC's snow maps switch over to being exclusively difficult. Honest the trope of snow = hard summer = easy is played out. Swap it around, mix it up. Give me a summer map full of super death mud, steep inclines, and steep angles that try to tip you over. And give me a new snow reign that's a lot more casual like Alaska.
@@justinlynch3 the summer map you just described is Yukon. Albeit some snow it has a LOT of all of that. The feeling that Amur gives and not knowing if you’ll end up stuck and needing to call in actual backup because you ran out of gas and money is unlike any other. It is called SNOWrunner after all, I’m sure other regions or mudrunner has plenty of what you’re looking for.
Yeah exactly, must be another bird as I mention in the video. Great auk or the one that lives in northern Canada (I've forgotten the area name but I mentioned it to someone else, not had coffee yet lol)

Yeah my original theory is about a distant cousin and the image that sneaks in with the words Cape Parry in this video show another bird that is similar and native to Northern Canada.
Surprisingly, penguins are also found in Africa.
0:40 what truck is this?
Above Antarctic
I think it's the ice breaker or something don't quote me on it tho
The truck could be a unimog if they have joined forces with Mercedes
it be nice if they added mercedes unimog
I hope season 15 will be the second Amur
Whoever is responsible for designing Maine and making the design choice to have the only way to open access to the left hand side of the first island only unlockable from the SIDE that you CAN'T REASONABLY GET TO without doing some janky bullshit a very merry needles in your corneas. Tedious=/=hard=/=challenging=/=fun. Difficult can be fun, but only when done correctly, I hope they get that.
Question will it be all snow
Good question and one I can't yet answer.
Amur always stay on the top
Season 13 and 14 are challenging if u use non top tier trucks =)
Penguins? So south pole? Tip of Argentina maybe?
Still waiting for Expeditions tech to be ported backwards, like they said they would.
They really said that? What they meant? Have you a source? I'm interested
@VCN01 oh god. This was just before the game launched or something when they showed reeling out and deployable anchors/bridges. I believe they said "we'll bring any advances back into snowrunner..." I think it was a forum post or a steam post where they were answering a Q&A.
What is the truck at 3:34?
Azov 64131
@ thank you for telling me
penguins are all native to antarctica and the surrounding region with the exception 3 species which is reside in south africa and namibia. so i'm going for bad geography
Unless it's the Great Auk or the similar bird native to Cape Parry in Northern Canada. I suspect the latter but we shall see.
Bro i just wanna get it done. I don’t want hard roads like mud 😫they should add all cement road
I've had enough cement lol
So we're getting a skin for a truck that will be unusable on the new map.
can we get the unimog
I've asked Santa.
To answer your title question. MY GOD, I HOPE NOT lol
I wanna get a UNIMOG as new Truck!
15 seasons and still no wheel and pedal support 😢😢 but mudrunner supports my wheelbase just fine smh
Which wheel?
@ATribeCalledCars simucube pro 2
tbh we kinda needed this
Yes x 1,000,000,000. I miss the brutal challenge stuff.
so either Unimog or Zetros in mersu pack
Could well be!
I wait new Amur
Maybe this is it...
Will see. Very not impressed by year 4 so far. Maybe hard map with snow will convince me to drop another 25 eur on a yearly expansion. Maybe
My sources tell me that season 15 has snow and trucks
It is called SNOWrunner after all, I’m sure other regions or mudrunner has plenty of what you’re looking for.
amur was one of the bossest seasons of SR ever
Naah I'm not believing it until I see it cuz the Devs are too scared to add difficult regions
Penguins = South & nowhere near Canada. Whereas Polar Bears = North & nowhere near Antarctica
Hands up all those who skipped geography lessons
Yeah exactly, must be another bird as I mention in the video. Great auk or the one that lives in northern Canada (I've forgotten the area name but I mentioned it to someone else, not had coffee yet lol)
@@ATribeCalledCars Or it's the bird brained Devs not having a Scooby Doo about geography
I would love Saber to implement these two ideas in future seasons:
1. Gabrage trucks and relevant tasks.
2. Map with normal roads, so highway truck can finaly shine)
Does anyone wanna play ? Been looking for ppl none of my friends like it ):
😂😂😂😂😂 WHO PLAY AT THIS NOW ?!!!!!!
Nice engish
