Let’s be real here. There are some Shi’a scholars who make Takfir on those who reject imamah and some who don’t. Just like there are major scholars in Sunni Islam that make Takfir and reject those who don’t view the caliphate of Abu Bakr and Umar as legitimate. I’ll give you a list of Sunni scholars who hold this view: 1. Ibn Taymiyyah 2. Imam (ironic) Ahmad Ibn Hanbal 3. Al-Ghazali 4. Ibn Kathir 5. Ibn Al-Jawzi 6. Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab 7. Al-Barbahari 8. Al-Shawkani 9. Al-Dhahabi 10. Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani I’m confused. Is Imamah therefore a pillar for Sunnis as well? Now you might be saying there is a difference between imamah and Khilafah. They are interchangeable though. Khilafah falls under imamah. Even if it didn’t, is Khilafah therefore a pillar of faith for Sunnis? Must one accept the Khilafah of Abu Bakr and Umar to be a Muslim? According to the list of scholars I mentioned, yes indeed. Therefore where is this belief in the Quran? Don’t throw stones if your house is made of glass. Now let’s get to imamah not being in the Quran. Can any Sunni show me a verse in the Quran that specifies the word “Tawheed”? No. But you must believe in Tawheed to be a rightly guided believing Muslim? Then you might say “no the concept of Tawheed is in the Quran, the specifics are in the Hadith”. Likewise for imamah. The concept is in the Quran. Surah 4 verse 59. Obey Allah, the prophet (S), and those in authority. The concept of imamah is obeying and following those in the authority after the Prophet (S). The Hadith gives us details such as who these people are, how many there are, and their characteristics, just like Tawheed. I challenge any Sunni to refute me. I’ll be waiting inshallah

Where did I lie, misquote, or selectively leave something out?
