I love y'all! And for the record, that is an acquired taste. (Bama girl here!) Also, not all Alabama bbq is white. Most of it is regular bbq sauce, & we have some killer bbq places here. Dreamland bbq, Bob Sykes, & Top Hat, just to name a few. Love that all of you tried it, & I really like the 50 states recipe idea.❤

Alabama girl here. I’ve never heard of white bbq sauce. I prefer Kraft Original, Mesquite, Honey, or Smokey and Sweet Baby Ray’s. I will eat the Great Value brand also if I can’t get the other two brands. I am not a fan of most of the ingredients that went into that white sauce 🤢 so I would not be trying it😂. My advice, maybe go with 1/8 cup of apple cider vinegar and a little less lemon juice. It wouldn’t be so strong then. I knew Steph would like it though. She has a very eclectic palette 😂.

Bri don't throw away those chicken skins if you think it's the best part...fry them up by themselves. Just heat up your oil and drop them in one at a time. They will shrink up fast as they cook, turn them over and add another as you have space to fry. Remove to paper towels to drain and add salt n pepper. ENJOY!!!

FYI - I asked my daughter (they make the Alabama white sauce) and they cook (more so heating & simmer than anything) the sauce just like they would making homemade buffalo sauce from scratch. So the wings and the sauce are @same temp in coating. That alone probably cuts down on the "twang" from the apple cider vinegar. I make my wing sauce from scratch, not store bought so mine too is hot when I coat my wings. Just like If I use Frank's Original Hot Sauce, I get a thicker sauce. If I use Texas Pete, I get a thinner more vinegar tasting sauce. My wing sauces are butter (real butter) and hot sauce only, heated and simmered until the wings are done. I don't use Tobasco at all unless I wanna kick up the heat a little, and only a few drops then. I like a thicker sauce coating these days so I opt for Franks. I don't coat or batter my wings, I like em nekkid.
