This weeks Bolt Action battle report see us head back to the Ardennes as the US Army take on the German might in the Battle of the Bulge offensive.
The scenerio is number 11 from the Battle ofthe Bulge campaign book. With some special rules included from the Battle of the Bulge Campaign book:
Snow - the whole map is covered in a thick layer of snow and so the going is tough for all vehicles who are reduced to advanced moves only over the difficult terrain , NO running!
Frostbite: before deployment each player must roll a morale check on every unit… any fail sees the number of casualties equal to the number of points the morale check was failed by…
The mix of rules from Warlord Games main rule book and the recent Battle of the Bulge Campaign book make for a great game.
FORCES
This scenario is set with equal opposing forces, 1250 points of both Winter US from the Campaign book and a 1250 point German late war Generic Platoon.
SETUP UP
The battle is played on a 6' x 4' gaming surface. The short table edges are north and south. The centre of the table is marked and each side deploys up to half their force 12” from the center .
Reinforcements come in from turn two, outflankers from tirn three.
Another great battle, fantastic board and a few laughs and banter along the way…
…but who will win, watch and see!

Haha, thanks… but I think my lucky dice rolling might be with me still 😉😜
The Sharp Practice game was a learning game, so only recorded the clips in the short… but moving forward we are hoping to get some more games in, and will be sharing them…. As well as more Black Powder and yet more Bolt Action!

Oh, I totally get that, and I know your audience will experience it differently.
Maybe consider fading it in for the dramatic rolls or for the transition phases in play? The trouble is that it's composed to be low-key tension-building, and some of us really tune into that: for me it puts me more 'on edge' than I want to be whilst otherwise enjoying your gaming and chat.
