Haha! I was at the Victory Tour concert in Dallas at the old Texas Stadium; I was 13. My aunt won tickets on a radio station along with a Victory tour jacket she still has. I think Eddie only showed up the first night which was the night we were there fortunately. He came snaking in from the back of the stage and everyone went nuts. Great memory.

The ladies did the legendary status and background to the solo justice. Slash on the other hand seems to have got the set list mixed up as it was clearly a solo from another song. Eddie was and always will be the king. What would have been the greatest live performance of Beat It would be the artists that recorded the song on stage together. It's a shame Orianthi didn't get her break via the This Is It tour. She was the first woman guitarist that blew my mind, plus she can sing and write songs. But guitar is what she does best, and I hope she's having a stellar career.
Not as big as I thought she'd be after This is It. I saw her last night in NYC (on my LLtv6 account). Venue was only about half full but the show was great and she still shreds. Got a picture with her as she was leaving.

Well slash it's very passionate. If you see GnR concert, he will never perform exactly same the way he play on recording or another concert. That's why michael trust him to play on serveral albums like "Give In to Me"(Dangerous),"D.S"(HIStory),"Privacy"(Invincible)
he should have just gotten eddie to to it each time and paid the man; its ironic that EVH did the original solo on the record for free, and the song went on to become platinum and MJ made an absolute fortune for it - surely he had the money to bring EVH on the stage for 30 seconds....

He didn't wing it on the spot. He wrote it and played it an a half an hour. A great feat still but his touring guitarist nailed it everytime.

None did the EVH 12 15 19 stretch legato, the only MJ guitar player who played the solo how it is and is not in the video was Greg Howe

Jennifer Batten is about spot on to the recording, while wearing a I don’t know what. I can’t think of a better female guitar player than her.
I think she might be better than the recording. Eddie's sounds like barely controlled chaos, hers is a bit more "musical."
