He isnt a TE, do you mean one of these large mismatch guys they split out wide? Tight end line up on the line of scrimmage and block as much as they run routes. On top of that he just ran a 4.55 40
Jim Carroll I do think he will be a TE, but more of a Move TE, not an in-line Y blocker. He could stay as a giant WR, either way I think he will be used the same way. Put on some muscle and become a matchup nightmare
Trey Johnson i see what you are saying, I personally just dont call big recievers who split out wide 80% of the time like jimmy graham, evan engram, etc. Tight Ends. Tight End means you cover the tackle. They block as much as you run routes. If you line up out wide you are a wide out but its all semantics I get what you are saying and it makes sense he will a 3rd down and red zone target who get jump balls, back shoulder, throws etc
