    The 777X will dominate a market that is becoming a niche market. and "most efficient" is something I highly doubt, the A350 comes down to 2,1 litres per passenger and 100 kilometers, no 777 on earth will ever be able to beat that with its aluminum fuselage. The A350-1000 is capable of carrying 400 passengers in the three-class-cabin-layout, the 777X can carry 440 in a comparable layout. The 777X is a plane for a niche market.

      @davidtjahjadi5079 11 месяцев назад +2

      Absolutely, I think both the A350-1000 and the up-and-coming 777-9 are becoming niche aircrafts. Conditions are different now. When the 777-300er just started it was the only twin engined aircraft that can fly for 15 hours nonstop. Now, Airlines around the world can choose either 787-9 or A350-900......

    • @TheColinChapman
      @TheColinChapman 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@davidtjahjadi5079 I agree. the larger versions of the A350 or B787 are more fuel efficient than the B777X, the only reason to order a 777 for an airline would be the need for a passenger capacity of above 400 seats, no matter what the fuel consumption would be.

    All new cutting edge technology has bugs/glitches that need to be weaned out. Since the 777x is basically a computer in the sky then I hope it’s equipped with EICAS which is an independent and separate computer system that checks the flight computer system for anything. I’m also wondering if pilots need retraining as the 777x will be the longest fuselage wide body airplane thus the chances of tail strikes is very high. Overall it looks nice and looks like it handles nice.

Though the COVID-19 after affects, has severely grounded this airplane's flight testing, I am certainly glad that soon, they can give it the go-ahead for delivery to the first customer who of course is none other then, Lufthansa. Yes, these jets are very efficient. However, I just returned from Europe and I took the 787 900 outbound and inbound. 11 hours in a plane that unless you are paying 6500.00 to sit in a first class pod. Never again. I will look for flights that offer service with Airbus. Airbus is concerned about carbon footprint bur also has not forgotten the group that pays the bills, yes their customers. Seat comfort and leg room in economy. Paying 1650.00 for a round trip x 268 passengers = just under 450,000 dollars. That should be enough to provide us the customer. ......comfort

    Boeing was a company of engineers and has become a company of accountants. If it's really so great, and truly the best, why don't they call it the 777 max? Oh ....maybe I know. But really great features: It's wide, it's long, it has bigger windows and GE engines! Wow!

    It sounds great... I'm sure Airbus would be quaking in their wake if Boeing had got it to market in 2020... But it's 2023 and the project has been beset with problems. The new engines have failed multiple tests, the cabin doors pop off mid flight during one test and a host of other issues have appeared. Boeing need to go back to building great solid aircrafts.

    • @jimmy-et1pm
      @jimmy-et1pm 11 месяцев назад

      The doors didn't pop off mid flight....the fuesalage failed within 1% of what engineers said it would during the ultimate load test(ground based test)..that failure occurred near the door. They made it stronger....it will easily surpass the ultimate load test now. Its stronger than its required to be....
      Go ask Airbus why Boeing DOMINATES the freighter market. Cause they make the superior. Wings too.

    Hate this tempting fate. In March 1988 I was at Airbus as part of a media group. In one of the media conferences there was a boast. "No paying passengers have ever died in an Airbus." There was another boast: "The A320 fly-by-wire technology is foolproof". Three months later both those claims were proved wrong. Subsequently there would be many more deaths in Airbuses, several due to "foolproof" technology is the hands of fools. Boeing should focus on sorting out its quality control problems and delivering a plane that meets its promises. We would all be better off.

    The limiting factor on a plane is weight, not volume. There is absolutely no reason to cram people into a plane like sardines. Look at the Super Guppy. They can make a plane with tons of volume so each person could have a bed!! This all comes down to airlines wanting to squeeze every single penny out of the customer they can.
