The 14mm is especially useful when taking video in more narrow/urban areas, where there is stuff close to you and also close to the stuff you are filming. When shooting in the mountains, you are going to have gigantic valleys between them, making the mountains be far away from each other. Having a longer lens is going to better represent their scale. The 24mm is great when you are in between these 2 scenarios. Always keep in mind that there is not the one and only perfect lens and using different focal lengths for the same subject is dramatically going to change how your shot looks, also when adjusting the distance between camera and subject. Test out the differences and think about why you want to something in a certain way.
Good video Demetrios. I was thinking to buy this accesory but, sorry to say, after seeing the video (you are not guilty for it) I do not think I will do it. The curves at sides and horizontal, doesn't support, at least, of course, to me, the purchase. if I have to take time to make edition to adjust the curve, and will not be enough, just for some specific occasions, I do not see it. Frankly, I think DJI, in this item, didn't do it correct. As for idea for videos, I would like to know, if possible, of course your proposed Gain & Expo running for Air 3. Your video, excellent views, it has been more than 20 years I visited Toronto for first time on my way to Missisagua (unfortunately business, not pleasure). Good views from the CN tower front and downwards. Thanks you too much.
Hi Michidel, thanks for your comment. I have a reel coming out on Sunday which will feature the wide angle lens. I actually starting to like it despite the distortion. You just need to embrace it. Some camera ultra wide lenses do have distortion to. On Instagram of the photos I post in a carousel was from the wide angle but I fixed the distortion within Lightroom. As for gain, expo I fly stock, I have zero adjustments to settings. I learned to fly manually smoothly with the Mini 2. That being said I like to keep my stick movement simple to mitigate any jitters and use features like POI to help. Cruise control also helps.
Yes, I manually took the photos and stitched them after in Lightroom. You need to ensure there’s enough overlap to do this for it to work. Distortion will still be there but wanted to test it for this video.
On website there's a shop section saying Lightroom presets. It's the Cinematic Marvels one and goes to Etsy. shorturl.at/npFO9 The Preset is called Golden Hour
In the Cinematic Marvels pack City Heat is good, Golden Hour, Mediterranean II. Those 3 should be the most versatile but Light Blue is nice and Retro Pastel. There are before an after on the listing. Now that you mention this I might make next video another Lightroom Tutorial.
In my opinion, Panorama and spheres DO NOT need the wide angle lens because they already cover the whole area. The only diference would be the distortion that would have to be corrected anyway.
We can now use the obstacle avoidance sensors to look in either direction, very handy. I made a video on the firmware update: ruclips.net/video/9Rj0B71rtP8/видео.html I use this mainly now and the map.
CONGRATS!!!
First one really smart to compare the lenses.
I've seen people trying to do this without waypoints. WTF???

Appreciate this in-depth and thorough response. 🍻🙌🏼
Thanks for the info on your vids. You should use the wide angle lens for up close shots ✌️
this could be also usefull when posting in social media and client wants vertical video, you will loose less subject when cropping
Nice video bro! I have the Mavic Air 2 and might be looking to upgrade. This has helped 👌🏻
Thanks, check out the series of videos I have with the Air 3

Do you have to manually add the photos together for the pana photo you took manually

@@DimmyV thankyou keep up the good work love the videos
Liked & subbed - nice vid! But where can i find the presets you mentioned? Checked website and description and dont see them.
On website there's a shop section saying Lightroom presets. It's the Cinematic Marvels one and goes to Etsy. shorturl.at/npFO9
The Preset is called Golden Hour
@@DimmyV Ok gotcha. Any recommended presets for normal sunny days?
In the Cinematic Marvels pack City Heat is good, Golden Hour, Mediterranean II. Those 3 should be the most versatile but Light Blue is nice and Retro Pastel. There are before an after on the listing. Now that you mention this I might make next video another Lightroom Tutorial.

Yes you are correct. It was more so to see if the option was available would be redundant but interesting if allowed
Maybe good for manual 360 degree shots
would take a while to snap all the pics and the distortion might make it weird. Would be interesting to see the results
@@DimmyV well, I often do it but just without wide angle lens. These are perfect panos. But yes, it takes a while
If i could compare to bigger camera, its like 24mm and 20mm, seriously is not big of the difference
Hmmmm - Will this stop me from selling up! Let's see what you have to say!!
I have a playlist of videos with the Air 3 where I cover each feature.
WTF!!! Is that a rear view as you shooting the 3 building??? No way, how did you get that???
