ASMR | Giant's Causeway ♢ Softly Told Tales for Relaxation & Sleep

  • I've gotten many requests for more Irish folklore, so in this video, I'll be telling the story of Giant's Causeway in a softly spoken (with a slight mix of whispering), ear to ear format. I hope you enjoy!
There are a few different variations of this story, and I picked this retelling by Daniel Ferguson which I found to be adorable and funny.
I meant to put this out sooner but I've been down with a bad stomach bug the past week. I'm sorry that this story is shorter than most, I thought it would be longer and I wasn't prepared to read another one in addition to it. The footage and photos are my own from when I visited the Giant's Causeway last month with my family. However, they feel rather random to me, and that's because I didn't think until after we had visited the Giant's Causeway to read this story for you and that I should have gotten better footage. Grrr. Also, sorry to Irish speakers if my pronunciation of some of the names are not right at all. I tried, but I couldn't find a pronunciation of Giant's Causeway in Irish anywhere!

Can you do some creepier stories? I'm not totally familiar with Irish folklore where you seem to draw from, but I like the spookier stuff lol, like the Samhain video

I visited Kilt Rock in Scotland, which is made from basalt rock as well, and heard a different version of that story: Finn was stealing cattle in Scotland and the Scots asked their own giant to take care of the matter. The part with the baby was quite the same. I love how stories change over time and depending on where you hear it. Thank you for your great videos, it's very soothing and interesting!

    Mr. Pajama-Wearing, Basket-Face, Slipper-Wielding, Clype-Dreep-Bachle, Gether-Uping-Blate-Maw, Bleathering, Gomeril, Jessie, Oaf-Looking, Scooner, Nyaff, Plookie, Shan, Milk-Drinking, Soy-Faced Shilpit, Mim-Moothed, Sniveling, Worm-Eyed, Hotten-Blaugh, Vile-Stoochie, Cally-Breek-Tattie

Lived in Ireland when I was younger. Visited the Giants Causeway and like the weird child that I am, ran right up to the top and didn't stop. An old American man who was taking pictures from the top managed to stick his arm out in time to catch me before I could have potentially fallen to my death. And since then, my sister never lets me live it down. 😅😂
