He is still releasing music. He recently rewrote one of his original early songs so that his now adult daughter could sing it with him. It is beautiful! He is very active on his RUclips channell
Have you played their songs “I’ll Never Let You Go” or “Can’t Stop Me Loving You” from SteelHeart? Miljenko Matijević was best vocalist of that era! For some reason they left the first verse off of this version. You’ll have to listen to the studio version or the unplugged version where Miljenko Matijević just kills it while chewing gum. 🙂 Mili was born in Croatia. This album came out in 1990.
the reason they didn't blow up & become a massive hit was because mili suffered a horrific on stage accident in 1992 he was climbing up a 1000 pound lighting rig during the show that unbeknownst to him had been improperly secured it collapsed the 1000 pound lighting rig & mili plummeted to the floor with it smashing him face first into the floor though he instinctually bounced up off the floor he suffered a traumatic brain injury broke his entire face damaged his spine and neck & nearly died he spent four yrs in extremely painful rehabilitation & recovery from it learning to walk talk & function again unfortunately the band abandoned him during that time mili deserved to be in the ranks along with all the great vocalists of that era geoff tate sebastian bach bruce dickenson rob halford chris cornell layne staley & so many others such an underrated vocalist ive always felt bad for him he did recover and is still performing today his voice is still incredible & hes still an absolutely lovely person here's video of the accident on oct 31st 1992 if you're interested :) ruclips.net/video/0YnCnFHDPyA/видео.htmlsi=p-2ehJMUxE-Ahlgm
@@belinda35_77 yes I know about Milo’s tragic accident. It was terrible. The band and his wife all abandoned him after that happened. He seems like a really great guy.
@@stevenewcomer8837 the band did not abandon him. He took several years off because he had health problems and he had family health problems because his father died not long after that
@@Bryan-wu1ss I just posted what I read from an interview with Mili about the tragic accident. HE said that they all abandoned him. I didn’t just make it up. 😂
You guys should listen to "Du måste finnas" (live) by Helen Sjöholm! A very powerful and emotional performance. Just make sure to pick the live version with english subtitles ;)
should've reacted to the official version for a better sound quality, but yeah, he was a powerhouse. Shame that the accident had to happen and Steelheart split.
I hadn't seen this performance before. Thanks for sharing! Please keep sharing and reacting to great music!
I was waiting to see your face when he hit the high notes. He always could crush the high notes. Actually very clear and no autotune etc back than.
You will have to play…..I’ll never let you go. Yes. He spent a large part of his life in the US. POWERFUL voice.
"I'll Never Let You Go". You want to hear his power house voice and see the hair blowing....this is the song you want. Love your reactions.

You'll get the blowing hair in I'll never let you go. Lol
Official version, not the live.
the reason they didn't blow up & become a massive hit was because mili suffered a horrific on stage accident in 1992
he was climbing up a 1000 pound lighting rig during the show that unbeknownst to him had been improperly secured
it collapsed
the 1000 pound lighting rig & mili plummeted to the floor with it smashing him face first into the floor
though he instinctually bounced up off the floor he suffered a traumatic brain injury broke his entire face damaged his spine and neck & nearly died
he spent four yrs in extremely painful rehabilitation & recovery from it
learning to walk talk & function again
unfortunately the band abandoned him during that time
mili deserved to be in the ranks along with all the great vocalists of that era
geoff tate
sebastian bach
bruce dickenson
rob halford
chris cornell
layne staley & so many others
such an underrated vocalist ive always felt bad for him
he did recover and is still performing today
his voice is still incredible & hes still an absolutely lovely person
