    Yes that was my first thought as well, she has a very good doctor who gave her very great advice, just as you do.

    Dr Prasad, I am very thankful for your videos. It's through your education that I quickly noticed problem after my recent eye surgery. He was about to send me home after a quick check on my first review. I noticed my right eye was looking weird and highlighted to him. That's when he realised my lower eye lid had slight retraction (enough to make me look weird when I looked into the mirror) and performed a unexpected procedure where he had to give me numbing drops and cut the stitches which were meant to be dissolvable. I was really traumatized. Healing wound reopened and I got even more bruised. He was meant to repair my inward growing lash problem at the same time remove my eye bag. But I guess now the repair has been cancelled since he had to cut those stitches. And yet not enough fat is removed. This video really is what I am experiencing right now... under eye skin laxity and wrinkly after surgery. Plus dark circles now. I guess things will improve since I am still healing. But I am already exploring laser work possibility since it's really time consuming just waiting and waiting. It can be months before I can get to my final result that I want to see.

    I was very impressed by this doctor. He wasn't making a sell. I did learn from his video. I had laser surgery 25 years ago and always wondered why my lower lids look more droopy making me look older now. I also did not stay out of sun. In any case I am looking to do damage control now. always research I'm glad to have stumbled on this informative video.

      Hi +irene HANSEN,
      Thanks for the kind words. I make these videos so people can learn more about cosmetic procedures, and make better decisions when choosing to have them done. More information is particularly needed when it comes to thermal devices as they do have a role, but are very hyped, and can be overused to the detriment of the patient.
      I'm sorry to hear about your lower eyelids. I suggest you look for oculofacial/oculoplastic surgeons who specialize in the eyelids and eyelid revision surgery. They will have options to help you. Improving lower eyelid skin can also be done non-surgically. Look for a doctor who uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to help restore the skin quality, which can be done of your lower eyelids. It is a regenerative medicine treatment I commonly use, notably for patients who have had excessive laser or heat treatments to their thin eyelid skin.
      I'm so glad you found the video helpful. I wish you the best of luck with your research and finding a doctor to restore your lower eyelids.

    When having co2 laser for eyelids what is the recommended penetration depth needed for somebody in their 60s with moderate wrinkles? The eyelid skin is very thin and it just seems very easy for doctors to punch a hole right through with a co2 laser.

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  3 года назад

      Hi Anastasia white,
      Eyelid skin is the thinnest in the body at 0.5mm thick, so penetration depth is minimal, but the heat settings, and time of exposure are more important for a safe procedure. I actually feature laser treatment for the upper and lower eyelids in this more recent video, for your reference - ruclips.net/video/jG6EV7dQeb8/видео.html

    My question is does skin have a memory code?? After these CO2 treatments does the skin return to it's normal state of being?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  3 года назад

      Hi Nicole Slighting,
      Skin can snap back to an extent, but it also does depend on the severity or aggressiveness of previous treatments affecting its quality. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    Hello Sir, I have under eye fat bags...not of high volume, but enough to be noticed. So, shall I go costly lower eye lid blepharoplasty or is it better to try out CO2 laser with PRP first,...kindly advice me on this.

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  6 месяцев назад

      Hi @PavanKumar-mh9bs,
      I hope you understand that I would have to diagnose that your eye bags are caused by prolapsed orbital fat before I can recommend lower eyelid blepharoplasty, and I only perform lower blepharoplasty without removing skin, or making an incision on the eyelid skin. Most doctors perform lower eyelid surgery with a skin incision, and often remove skin, which are both more prone to complications. That said, CO2 laser, and PRP are skin treatments that can't treat lower eyelid fat prolapse safely, so it's not a recommended procedure for eye bags. You can refer to this video about it - ruclips.net/video/cU0B9-IahGk/видео.html

    Dr Prasad, what can you use if you get some hyperpigmentation are the eye area?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  3 года назад

      Hi Yvonne Hampson,
      A laser treatment is possible, but I would have to examine the skin first before recommending it as it could also make the hyperpigmentation worse. An examination is needed to determine the best approach for your case. I hope this helps you.
