    I am really happy to get to listen to this. Read it a few times over the years. This one and Strangers are ones i really enjoyed by him

      ​@@MichaelSmith-sv6vd - You both have very good taste. My personal favorite is STRANGERS. WATCHERS is a close second but not the movie. Why the movie plot was so... not the book... I'll never know. I would like to see the movie COLD FIRE if it was ever made as long as it closely followed the novel. On a side note there is one movie that exactly mirrors the book. That one is THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA. Word for word the movie mirrors the book. Back to the point, TWILIGHT EYES, if remaining true to the novel would be an instant hit.

    Oh how I have waited for this, thank you ❤️❤️❤️ This was my first Dean Koontz book, a present from my sister when I turned 14 and since that day I was hooked.

      I was 13. Haven't since. But it was my second book of his and always in my thoughts of one of my favorites.. Listening to it now I was surprised at the sexual stuff. Completely blanked it out.

    This book and The Bad Place are my favorite old Koontz novels. More recently, I totally dig the Frankenstein series. Thanks for posting.

      your welcome...ooohh..the Frankenstein series...this audiobook took me almost a year to finally get the full 5 series..really hard to find..2 of the audiobooks i have to purchase it online just to complete the collection..

      ​@@MrChaostheoryxKing is complete 💩 for years now!! His SEVERE TDS has infiltrated every book he writes for so long it's pathetic!! I haven't been able to get through ANYTHING he's written for so long now it's sad. I used to wait anxiously for his new releases. But when the "orange man" started showing up in every scene he could possibly put him in, I was done with him!!
      So Koontz is FAR, FAR superior now!!!!!!

      ​@@random_thoughts5343King's "talent" disappeared YEARS ago when he got SEVERE TDS and started inflecting ALL his stories with "orange man bad"!! It's truly pathetic how far lost King is in the depths of such severe TDS!! It ruins everything.

    It wasn't just American kids who were drilled about nuclear shelters and what to do if we got the 5 minute warning. I still have dreams about standing on the hill overlooking the North Sea in Aberdeen watching missiles come in across the sea (Girdleness lighthouse if any Aberdonian wonders which hill) in slow motion. I think it lives in the psyche of all kids alive at that time in the 60s.

    Can anyone tell me which Koontz story starts with a couple finding a little girl after her parents either become horrible creatures or something like that. It has been so long I don't remember the details.

    Stephen king once said he likes to put ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances and his competitors, i feel he was talking about koonts, like to put extraordinary people in ordinary situations.

    This and watchers was my favorite so far love the character slim he's my favorite koontz character so far. Have it on autable how do they keep putting more on here. It's a pain to go back the the spot I left off at vs autable stays on it but if it's free. I did phantoms on RUclips

    This story is okay for me it was a tad bit too descriptive in areas making it less interesting and as a whole the story kind of drug out a little bit too much. However, overall I enjoyed the story.

    Not impressed whatsoever with this particular writing. Way too much descriptive sex scenes in my opinion. Is this book about how to make love? Or about goblins? I'm disappointed because I like Dean Koontz writing style overall except this book thus far. Sorry
