Europe siempre han sido muy infravalorados. Joey Tempest ha tenido /tiene una de las mejores voces y lo de John Norum es de otro mundo...para mí el mejor guitarrista.

Norum had it all, speed, technique, but what made him stand out was the combination of these two along with melody. A genious, it couldnt have been made better, it just couldnt!
I can't believe John Norum left not too long after the success of The Final Countdown. Look at how much fun he had on this stage.
Norum was satisfied with songs like Ninja , Sream Of Anger and so on but Final Countdown, Carrie and all the FM stuff was too boring and frustating 🤔 His solo career is more Heavy and Guitar oriented . Slipped Into Tomorrow, Words Away and Another Destination are mind blowing ❤ Btw his voice fits perfectly with his style . Europe and especially Joey was very FM even I love Kee's solos on Out Of This World 😊
@@SuperHARMONIQUE I see. I also read that TFC was getting too commercial for him as he preferred more of a heavy guitar oriented sound. Still can't believe that he could give us a great guitar solos on a songs like TFC and Carrie knowing the fact that he was not really fond of them.
@@faiz7180 Yeah datsit , as a guitar player TFC's solo is a classic but its just a short section in a song that is only based on boring power chords 🤔 Its fun to play dat song for a while but playing all zoz FM tunes every concert isn't dat interesting to be honest 😔

@@faiz7180 Ironically, he recorded almost an exact copy of that song a year later - "Love Is Meant To Last Forever". Maybe "The Final Countdown" was supposed to sound like "Love Is Meant To Last Forever" at first? I've read that he left after a series of disagreements with the band's manager Thomas Erdtman.
John Norum es sencillamente espectacular y maravilloso
Aunque en los últimos años Norum ha optado más por la "expresividad" que por la "velocidad" a la hora de hacer sus solos de guitarra (recuerdo haber leído entrevistas de años recientes en las que Norum menciona que se ha inclinado más por el blues y el hard rock de los años 70 a la hora de tocar).

A really underrated song.. considering the album where it came from (the final countdown) it can be obvious but, in my opinion of course, is one of the best three track of the whole record. I love the fact that in the 80's a lot of hard rock, AOR, heavy metal band had at least a song about legends and other things about Japan!
