  • A strenuous walk to one of our remotest tholtan, tiring and rewarding at the same time, quite a lot of the old machinery remain with an amazing amount of old buildings just as they were left, abandoned in the 1930's after which it fell into disrepair the original inhabitants moving down the valley, it was home to the famous Cowley family one of the Islands leading figures in Manx politics, Deemster Cowley himself being involved in two fateful and notorious hangings, carrying out the charges against his humane beliefs, he refused to administer the last official hanging in the Island in 1872, when an official from the UK was brought in, see our video about The Cluggid for this chapter in our Manx history. We find the elusive Crammag bridge and the beautiful sheep fold on our journey, our apologies for the length but we think you'll enjoy it, so nice when folks approach us and say how much they enjoy them, so if u see us out and about give us a shout, we'll always stop and talk
