The problem is the lack of communication, even for the first update it was delayed but they were no announcement about it being delayed, that's what angers me in this situation, we don't know anything 'cause there's no communication with the community
Honestly, a big reason why people are upset is there's no communication like idrc how long I'm waiting for it I just want to know it's actually, ya know in the plans. Luni coming out and just saying, yeah the update is being worked on, would be monumental. Until then well I've held onto hope and optimism for 12 months. I’m allowed to be disappointed and give up for a while. I'm drained.
An unprofessional developer is still unprofessional human or not. If he were more open on development and didnt make promises then we wouldnt BE angry at him.
My problem honestly isn't that the updates are delayed. My problem is that he doesn't announce anything and lets it all be. Luni has a problem with his apps and that problem is that he works on this game,relases it,gives it a few updates before abandoning the game completely and works on other one. He released Gacha Life 2,updated it two times and then abandoned it and started working on Wonder End 0. I have no problem that he works on other game but wouldn't it be better if he focuses on only one game,gives it all the features that are needed and then works on the other games? Every game needs an update from time to time, including the bug fixes. My main problem is that he doesn't communicate to us. He can let us know on the discord server,on RUclips community tab or on Instagram. There are literally so many ways to communicate to us and he doesn't. At least he should let us know if he's working on the update or not. The update can wait forever but at least let us know is in working.
me personally I wouldn't be nearly AS upset as I am about this if luni didn't have a history of doing this exact thing. it would still be frustrating and unprofessional but I also don't think so many people would have just lost hope st this point. for me, it's the fact that it is a repeated behaviour of luni to hype up a new game, promise all these cool features, release a buggy version with a bunch of promised features missing, abandon the project after a few months of updates, and then disappear off the face of the planet for a while with zero explanations. this is not the first time this has happened. I am not surprised. I can't even say I'm disappointed anymore because that would imply my standards were higher to begin with.
Heres my viewpoint as someone who's been in the community since Gacha Studio (2017). I honestly understand why people don't have faith in Lunime. He's already broken promises with Gacha Life 2 (( Monthly uodates, going to uodate Gacha Life 2 before Wonderend gets updated )). Not to mention that some of the POC hairstyles in the game are clearly lazily done. He's abondaned the community before, personally I believe its fair to have no faith in Lunime keeping his promises at this point until he actually acts on it.
Tbh I’m not even upset that the update is taking forever, I and many others are just at the very least wanting confirmation that it’s going to happen or reassurance by the devs (like u said). If we can’t get a date yet, that’s fine, but at the very least tell us that you’re working on it. Ik that Luni and everyone on his team is a person that should be respected, but imo I don’t understand why he can be active on the Wonderend server, but not on the gl2 server as much??? Like- it just doesn’t rly add up imo. I try my best to be patient, and I’ve seen a lot of ppl say “just wait it’ll come out in a few months” but that was said a few months ago (I’m not trying to disregard those ppl or anything I understand they’re trying to be optimistic, I’m just pointing out that’s it’s been almost if not a little over a year since the last update)
For those who are waiting eagerly for the Gacha Life 2 update, people need to focus on other things in life, maybe check in for updates now and then but don't hyperfixate on it otherwise you're running your own patience out, its natural for things like Hope to ebb and flow, like Starmeey said, but we must focus on other things while Luni is doing his own thing, perhaps focus on other games you like, perhaps check anything for Chibimation! I'm appreciative of those who are patient and loyal, but I also acknowledge those who are waiting, I understand the considerable amount of frustration and wavering patience, but please try your best to focus on other things instead of hyper-fixating on GL2, Remain Hopeful!❤
I’m pretty annoyed, but I’m confident we will eventually get an update (Maybe it’s because I’m also part of the FNF & FNAF fandoms). I might just be used to waiting really long for new content for a game I like. I feel like Gacha Life 2’s limitations made me better at editing when they’d come, so they don’t bother me as much anymore. Anyway, the point is, FNF got an update after 3 years, I think we’ll get an update. Though, I’m not saying annoyance & frustration aren’t justified (trust me, I know).

Yeah, it's valid for people to fell frustrated about not getting an update for a year. But there is a certain point at which there is a limit to how far this validation can go, say for example, someone brings up the "no update yet" topic several times a day, every day, then I'd think that is going too far. Like, yeah we get the point, but obsessing over it won't do a thing about the situation. People who are like that (not calling out anyone) need to chill. But I also think in general, we should at least stop focusing on what's to come next and move on with our lives. It's not like "the next update" will be entirely revolutionary. To stress about it would make it feel longer, to ignore/forget it would mean a chance to not know that the update came out. All I'm try to say is people need more patience even if it has been a year, getting mad or feeling upset about it won't change a thing about when it'll come out.
