There are a lot of Russians near where I live in Northern California. They can be easily misunderstood due to some some cultural differences but usually wonderful with a great sense of humor when you get to know them. I've always appreciated how honest and easy going they are. This was a very heartwarming video!
I love the brutal honesty, I prefer this over fake smiles and lies to comfort me. I always lived with Russian proverb "Better bitter truth, than sweet lies", but I can see that many people in U.S. can get easily offended by that, as saying words even when factually true is "hate speech/crime" nowadays. And I'm not that sure if culture is that different, if you compare Russian family to conservative U.S. family they probably share 99% of values, even if one doesn't have it in everyday life they would consider adopting it to their lifestyle. Like having house shoes (slippers) for example.
growing up in a russian family - only speaking russian at home and with family still in russia this warmed my heart. Honestly at the beginning of the video where you struggled to find someone who even spoke a little bit of english I was surprised you found someone that quick (especially in a little village like that) this just reminds me of family gatherings and bigger celebrations with my family, where everyone talks, eats and drinks. This was a joy to watch, thank you. And thanks to Olga, if she ever comes across this video - Olga you're a beautiful soul.

I travelled to this City last year. It's full of beautiful churches. During my whole trip in Russia, I met at-least one absolutely amazing and warmhearted person everyday. I'll be going there again in January 2025.

I am from Moscow, but was born on a small city in Russia and this video just melts my heart. You guys have managed to show true Russia, people like Olga and Alexey - are typical russians who live all over the country. They are typical russian uncles and aunts which every one of us have around. I am from the bottom of my heart thankful for what you have done with this video, and I am sharing it with all of my friends. You guys made my day better today, and this really means a lot in such dire times. You are amazing.
Everyone you met in the video just made me smile the whole time. Just like Alex said, "We're all Residents of one Land". And like what you said at the end we all truly just want connections. Its just such a beautiful thing in such a violent world. Thank you for what y'all do! I literally felt like I was hanging out with y'all. I could feel the fun through the screen lol. It's also so cool seeing Russia in such a real way. Can't wait to see what else y'all do :)
So, in russian language words "land", "dirt" and "Earth" are all can be translated the same. What Alexey said is "we're all residents of one Earth", like the planet Earth. He mentioned it in the comment section here, but since he wrote it in russian, translation still can be missing. This phrase means that, despite our nationality and origin, all people are some kind of relatives (kin?), we're all human beings, we're equal and should treat each other with respect and kindness
You guys are amazing. There’s no words to explain how much this video means to me. My country is the last place on earth I thought you’d ever visit since… all that is happening rn. So this is both unexpected and truly heartwarming. Nearly cried watching this. Thank you for connecting people. Thank you for hope. Thank you for the laughs lol. You’re doing an amazing job

If I ever goto Russia I must meet Olga. So glad she was super open to inviting you in. My way to learn other cultures is through their food. My best time was being invited in by a Somalian family in MN that I helped. Food was amazing and the people even more. Thanks for going out there and showing that as people we are all alike.
This is one of the best videos you guys ever made (and I watch them all). People are not their countries. People are what life makes of them. Olga is amazing and so are you guys. Would love to visit Russia one day.
Yeah and the rednecks in Alabama was awsome too. To really get into the core and heart of the people out in the country is just what we wanna see . Feels like we are all along on the trip !
Не соглашусь. Люди -это страна. Страна состоит из людей. Если большинство людей этой страны такие как Ольга, о чём здесь неоднократно писали, то что-то не так с вашим восприятием страны.
I really enjoyed this video especially the fact that you didn't bring in political issues but really enjoyed the people you encounter with an open mind and open hearts! I'm so glad that we saw this side of Russia and not the hatefulness we always are shown.❤
OMG, hilarious guys! Can you imagine being in small town Russia and these foreign guys knock on your door out of nowhere, don't speak Russian and when you finally figure out what they want, that they want to cook you dinner? They must think people are nuts.
It is so beautiful to me to see strangers offer each other such kindness and hospitality. It made me a little sad how the one guy was apologizing and trying to say she didn’t need to host them. Many people in the US seem to think we need to offer something to receive something, but love is free. It made me happy that they were able to accept her kindness. Oftentimes giving and receiving are the most joyous things we can do!
This was an amazing video. Its really beautiful to see that, no matter the language barrier, you can always create connections if you work hard and strive for them!
I've been following you guys for a year and a half, seeing such a warm, nice, positive content was a pleasure. I would never imagine you visiting my country, especially in a time like this. Thank you for staying open-minded, and I am very glad to see you having such a great time in Russia. You were very lucky to meet Olga (she was very lucky to meet you too!). You're always welcome here, and hopefully someday we won't be scared of thought of travelling to each other's countries. Good luck to you on your journey, I think you would enjoy it in Ukraine too, but please, stay safe. Love from Saint-Petersburg.
I wouldn't really call it "tricked" when dozens of countries in modern history have imposed drafts that come with prison time if you refuse to comply. Maybe we shouldn't gleam our wisdom from GTA characters? Just a thought.
The very stupid quote from the game that has nothing to do with the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. War is when the US wants to suppress a big country with foreign and brotherly hands
That was beautiful! Thank you for having the courage to knock on Olga's door. She was lovely! And thank you for having the courage to travel to Russia. What wonderful people you met.

I knew you would meet great people. Olga was incredible as most Russians are. Great video. You guys are also special to take on these adventures. You did surprisingly well with the dip in the river.
Long time viewer. I'm American and have been learning Russian for the past 6 years, and it's been a journey. I have had so many amazing connections with Russian people, learned of their culture and history, and can absolutely say that Russians, just as other peoples, are all special. I frequently am interrogated with questions by Westerners such as "Why are you learning Russian? It's a waste of time," and "Why wouldn't you learn a 'useful' language?" My answer is always the same. I value connections with people, and speaking someone's native language is the fastest way to get someone to open up. They never care about the other 4 languages I speak, people just assume I've only learned Russian. The truth is that I study those languages for the same reason. Russian people are not the headlines the West writes about the conflict in Ukraine. Russian people are not their government. The most ironic thing about growing up in America has been that Americans have honestly been the most narrow-minded people I have ever met - it's rare I have ever met someone as narrow minded as we are in the West, compared to the thousands of Russians I have met in my lifetime. We have an obligation to be kind to others and understand them. When the Russian government is no longer something Western tourists must fear, I hope to live in Russia for a few years, not for work, not for money, not for anything except to step out of my comfort zone and enrich my life, because that's what I care about. Thanks for this video, there's so much value than you perhaps even recognize in showing your audience that we are all people, which seems like an obvious sentiment, but people tend to see citizens of other countries or cultures through the blurry, dirty, and biased lenses of their media.
After all, Soviet education was indeed one of the best in the world. Even the homeless know more than most of today's youth. And the fact that we know English will surprise many for a long time. I am glad that you have understood the depth of the Russian soul and hospitality. Сome to Siberia with us, we will also meet you with dignity and show our traditions)

And I'm not that sure if culture is that different, if you compare Russian family to conservative U.S. family they probably share 99% of values, even if one doesn't have it in everyday life they would consider adopting it to their lifestyle. Like having house shoes (slippers) for example.
@@4X10S human connection at its peak.
growing up in a russian family - only speaking russian at home and with family still in russia this warmed my heart. Honestly at the beginning of the video where you struggled to find someone who even spoke a little bit of english I was surprised you found someone that quick (especially in a little village like that)
this just reminds me of family gatherings and bigger celebrations with my family, where everyone talks, eats and drinks.
This was a joy to watch, thank you.
And thanks to Olga, if she ever comes across this video - Olga you're a beautiful soul.
I've worked in the Hotel Industry for 8 years (Malaga, Marbella and Barcelona). Let me tell you, Russians are the kindest guests you can ever have. Thank you guys for opening a window on their culture.
I've been to all these cities, I've traveled half of Spain. My favorite cities are Marbella in the south and Santander in the north. It's a pity that now is not an easy time to travel to Europe, I miss Spain :(
@@ДмитрийАндрианов-й4ы Time heals... Europe managed too unite even after WW2 (thinking about Germany, England, French and even Poles)...so don't worry :) Beside that, fortunately Spain isn't as subservient to NATO as other countries.
Don't worry, stay safe and take care🤗
I am currently experiencing a challenging period in my life. In just one month, I’ve gone through a breakup, gotten sick, and lost my job. I’ve been watching your videos for a while now, and today was the first time I managed to smile and laugh. Thank you all for the joy you bring through your work.
@nataliegardner4658. God bless you im going through the same thing oddly enough. Merry Christmas
Everything will be ok ❤
I just wanna say, I’m literally going through the same exact situation word for word. Life has felt so crippling lately. You are not alone ❤️
His channel makes us believe that are still good people out there, passed through the same situation, you will get through! :)
I'm going through a similar situation. There are always people with you, whether you know it or not. Stay strong, take care of yourself the best you can. Keep moving forward
olga is top tier she setting the bars high straight off the bat
As russian i can say Olga is really amazing woman she has a beautiful soul and vibe , im happy to see that you guys could meet her and see the true of russian soul. Because we are mostly love to have a guests , always welcome ) im kinda miss my country even to live in other country ❤thanks for those kind amazing vibe ❤
It seems as if you guys arrived at Olga’s steps at the right time. Olga needed you guys, she looks so happy to have company.
I’m Russian and I expected a friendly welcome for you guys from people in Russia. But I would not expect that the first person whose door you knocked spoke such good English. It’s impressive. She’s obviously well educated and moved from a large city to Suzdal (I just started watching so don’t know any details yet) 😊😊😊
Sam set that up I bet. No way they got that lucky on first knock
@@mikem9892 We learn English alongside Russian since young age (like elementary school, later German/French too), so its no wonder some of the ppl went to pursue it more in-depth like me or many other ppl. Its more common to find ppl with good English skills in big cities cuz u need to know a different language to work there, since there might be tourists.
Я даже подумал, что это постанова. Так или нет неважно.
I travelled to this City last year. It's full of beautiful churches. During my whole trip in Russia, I met at-least one absolutely amazing and warmhearted person everyday. I'll be going there again in January 2025.
War is between goverments, not the people.
In Russia, yes..

I couldn't have said it better myself.

If you weren't delusional you could see it's actually a lot of ordinary people who are doing what they are told, because they agree with it or they dgaf which is the same

@@salahmoufa8222 why are you surprised?
I don’t know if you could have met a nicer person to host with. Olga is a bright light, and now her light carries on over countries and the world! Lovely video
Wow Olga was fucking awesome. What a treat. Russians seems fun and genuine
Please never stop making videos. I love what you guys are doing and still giving hope to humanity.
Russians are awesome!
Bratski pozdrav iz Slovenije
Thanks for conect people around the globe 🎉
I'm not cryin'! You're cryin'! They were beautiful people!
Olga is delightful, how lucky you were to find her.
American living in Moscow for the past year. If you fellas are still around hit me up. My wife is Siberian and speaks fluent Russian. We were just in Suzdal recently too!
No way! From the first try! You met her! She is so sweet! Glad that you enjoyed your stay in Russia! ❤ Greeting from St.Petersburg!
That was the best one you ever did. Russian and slavic in general hospitality is something else than rest of the world, and you have witness the best example of it.
I’ve never broken a video down like this before but this really was a masterpiece. You captured what looked like authentic Russian life and real personalities. I loved this so much
If I ever goto Russia I must meet Olga. So glad she was super open to inviting you in. My way to learn other cultures is through their food. My best time was being invited in by a Somalian family in MN that I helped. Food was amazing and the people even more. Thanks for going out there and showing that as people we are all alike.
I absolutely adore and love how open minded, welcoming, hospitable, and authentic Olga is! What a beautiful soul 🫶🫶🫶
Try our Nizhniy Novgorod - a good place to visit😊
Не соглашусь. Люди -это страна. Страна состоит из людей. Если большинство людей этой страны такие как Ольга, о чём здесь неоднократно писали, то что-то не так с вашим восприятием страны.
From Moscow with love❤️
I really enjoyed this video especially the fact that you didn't bring in political issues but really enjoyed the people you encounter with an open mind and open hearts! I'm so glad that we saw this side of Russia and not the hatefulness we always are shown.❤
OMG, hilarious guys! Can you imagine being in small town Russia and these foreign guys knock on your door out of nowhere, don't speak Russian and when you finally figure out what they want, that they want to cook you dinner? They must think people are nuts.
Olga was throwing all types of hints. I would’ve caved. Even brought a friend over 😂
😏😏
Same lol
Chillll 😂
bruh fr and she's got quite an.. /everything/ tbh LOL
lmaoooo i was thinking the same thing
I hope the creators of this video receive this message.
I am moved and delighted by this video so much that I myself want to visit russia !
Добро пожаловать 😊
That reaction with the homie @5:37 was so wholesome and awesome.
What a fabulous Russian lady. Watching videos from Russia I've come to appreciate there are many good people there.
no.we eat babies for breakfast every morning
Oleg gets peckish in the mornings!
OMG, warm welcome from Russia to you guys. Couldn't have expected you to visit our country. Hope you had good impression of it.
From Moscow with love:)❤️
Wow, getting it on the first try is CRAZY! You guys are on fire 🔥
"War is where the young and stupid are tricked by the old and bitter into killing eachother." - Niko Belic
Exactly that
All wars, are bankers wars
I wouldn't really call it "tricked" when dozens of countries in modern history have imposed drafts that come with prison time if you refuse to comply.
Maybe we shouldn't gleam our wisdom from GTA characters? Just a thought.
@@BlastingXNP countries were and are controlled by .. ?
The very stupid quote from the game that has nothing to do with the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. War is when the US wants to suppress a big country with foreign and brotherly hands
That was beautiful! Thank you for having the courage to knock on Olga's door. She was lovely! And thank you for having the courage to travel to Russia. What wonderful people you met.
Olga has an amazing soul. The kindness in her is extraordinary!
I'm German Living in Moscow for many Years and I Would like to mention That Russian are very Generous and Friendly Folks..They adore Parties.. Seating around a Table and Share Food and Drinks..so I Confirm That These Gentlemen Had a real Russian Evening 😉 !!!
Also they adore to throw missiles to nearest counties.

I knew you would meet great people. Olga was incredible as most Russians are. Great video. You guys are also special to take on these adventures. You did surprisingly well with the dip in the river.
I’m swooning over this woman. She is the definition of joy. Beautiful smile, and an absolute pleasure to be around.
5:15 that Russian woman was a fox back in the day. my goodness! what a beauty !
So fine
Olga is STILL foine 👌
They are both super beautiful and Olga especially comes across as a discerning and wise woman, highly educated, and committed to her ancestral home and community while welcoming the visitors into her life with such care and openness. Made me cry many times 🦋🩵🌻🤗
She still is.
Olga is a fox right now!
This was one of my favourite videos. I didn't know you could fly into Russia at this time. Loved the conversation with Olga and her friend...warmed my heart
Every single person I saw in this video gave me hope that there are still people worth meeting in this world ❤ bunch of legends, you’ve gained a big fan 👌
This really brightened my day, I love how you guys stayed optimistic through all of it & wow Olga was a joy!! Loved her spirit! Thank you for sharing ❤
LOVE THIS! Food, smiles, sharing and coming together! AMEN! So lovely guys I am glad someone has money to sponsor you!
This was so beautiful. Brothers and sisters, we are all One.
This video should have millions of views in no time. It made me emotional seeing how warm everyone was and it reminded me of my own family and I’m not even Russian. This show is great!
Whats amazing to me, is that people seems to be surpirsed that people of Russia are friendly.. thats a bit insane.. I think people need to do more research about Russia and the people.. Russia is amazing and people of Russia are more than amazing.. Real people with a big hear and a deep soul..

i think olga was hoping for a lot more than a dip when 3 men knocked her door 😂
I was thinking the same thing and she said “shrimps” lmao 🤣
who knows what happened between the cuts in the video 🤣
Yup. Even called in reinforcements for the uniting of the nations. I don't think the 2 Canadians picked up the vibe .... 😉
I'd join the train choo choo

Even as a Russian, I am so moved. It's so cool, when you know that at least someone doesn't see you as a wild animal just because you happen to be born in this country. I wish you an even warmer welcome in your next video. Thank you, guys!
Stop watching propaganda. The absolute majority of people in the world love Russian people. We in Australia know everything they say on TV is absolute rubbish! ❤
