      The only think I can compare this to is hot tubbing in the snow. My bestie & hubs have a time share and she invited me many many years ago to have a girls weekend in Squaw Valley/Tahoe/Truckee area where the Olympics were held in the 1960s. We were in a cute little chalet. It was snowing and so we put our swim suits on and then our ski suits on top and went to the outdoor hot tub. I think we had wine or chamgagne. It was the most glorious thing ever!! She wants us to do it again next year!

    The best thing aboutbthe Delta 2 is that it fully charges in about 80 minutes and that is really fast.

    • @able880
      @able880 2 года назад

      I think it will accept a 85% charge in 50 minutes or in less than a hour -
      It's not a good idea to fast charge on a regular basis - it shortens the battery life - if your using a generator and are limited to fuel on hand then the one hour charge rate is very beneficial -
      Sail boats that cross the oceans often use the one hour charge rate to charge there house battery's once a day to converse fuel -

    I have only discovered your channel this past weekend and I binge watched so many of your videos while being at home with a cold. I live in northern Germany and have disliked the winter season my whole life- especially because of the darkness. But this morning when I woke up at 6 AM to get ready for work, it felt so much easier to embrace the dark season and that's entirely due to your positivity and the way you make darkness and the cold feel so magical and cozy 😍 So thank you, Cecilia, from the bottom of my heart! Some tipp for the outages: You could get a special wallplug installed to connect the Ecoflow to your houses powergrid (in Germany they are called Wieland Plugs - used for example for small solar power generators on a balcony). In case of a power outage disconnect your main breaker, plug the ecoflow "in your house" and your toilette and lights should be good for around 5+ hours. Maybe you can get Ecoflow to Sponsor another Video and send one of the big units just for the house. You are the first honest to god real usecase I have seen in all the EcoFlow Sponsorships ...

    Just a tip for the EcoFlow. Great units but like mine, it has fans on the side of unit. If your moving it or packing it, put some painters tap over the fan vents until you use it. The only issue with EcoFlow is they need fans to keep the circuits cool. The problem is moisture( snow, rain ) plus electric circuits is BAD. I’ve found some painters tape will extent it’s life. Love your content, keep it coming.

      @@amyariffin EcoFlow, after much research is currently the the leader in battery based generators, but with that crazy fast recharge rate comes a ton of heat. With todays tech, there is really no way to not have fans if you want those impressive numbers ( charge rate, discharge rates etc). My only two issues is the fan vents suck in snow, dust, etc with the air, so be aware. Also, it’s easy for debris or moisture to get in during storage/transport if the vents are not sealed ( painters tape works great). I would still buy it, even with everything I know now. Enjoy your unit.

    • @JOHNSMITH-vd1ns
      @JOHNSMITH-vd1ns 2 года назад

      @@SirHackaL0t. Hi, interesting questions. I have seen there is quality finned heat sinks on the circuit boards between the fans. With dirt and dust, I feel we both can agree will limit heat transfer and make it less efficient over time. During real world use, I noticed the units are pretty sealed up except the air intake and exhaust fan ports. If you are simply using this only in your home, then I would not take any further protection. But if your using this for camping, construction etc. $2 painters tape can prevent debris/insects during transport or storage. I have not scientifically tested this. But common sense shows less moisture, dust and debris will allow the machine to work at optimal for longer. Whether the boards are coated or not, I not sure. I expect some coating to be present but as I am not a electrician, I cannot speak on that fact.

    Here in South Africa we have "loadshedding" every day. It is because we only have one electricity supplier and that means we have different"stages" stage one is only the hot water geysers and from stage 2 and up it is all power of for 2 hours every 6 hours stage 6 is two hours on and 2 hours off. Lots of love from South Africa 🇿🇦

    When I was a little girl in the 60’s and 70’s in northern Minnesota our power lines ran along side of the road. In the winter time our power went out a lot, but we had huge kerosene lamps (not the little cutesy ones for decoration) that mother would sit on the kitchen table and we would play games and cards till the power came back on!

    Hey Cecilia, Christoffer and Grim! Thanks for sharing this lovely video. I live in Hurricane Country, where the increasing frequency of historical record-breaking storms comes with corresponding destruction to infrastructure and resulting outages lasting a month or more (ex. Katrina and Rita in 2005 and Laura and Delta in 2020). It didn't take long, while evacuated with family following Rita, to realize that gas generators are not my idea of a good time. So I've been looking for nice quiet alternatives. The EcoFlow looks like a great option. Thanks for demonstrating it for us. And thanks for another episode of Cooking with Christoffer!!!

    Much as I am in favour of reducing, and eventually eliminating, fossil fuels, I think Svalbard's coal plant should continue, given its small output and the fact that the fuel is locally sourced. Perhaps replacing with a 4th generation nuclear SMR when they become commercially available.

    I love the magic and beliefs connected to the auroras, it makes watching them even more special.
    Direct translation for "revontulet" is "fox fires" and one of the beliefs is that auroras listen to you so you should stay quiet when they are blazing across the sky, especially avoiding singing or whistling. The Sami people have pictures of auroras on their witch drums as they have been told to have special powers when it come to solving problems and arguments. And the list goes on and on, changing from country to country.

    have you considered getting a stove fan? i know that sometimes your house can be too warm but certainly when you have power cuts it might be a good idea. It sits on top of your stove and catches the hot air and spreads it round the room, it really helps spread the heat. We have one in our little stone cottage with single glazing and no heating and its a lifesaver in winter. Becuase the fan distributes the heat more evenly around the room we don't need to burn so much fuel to keep warm.
