You gonna tell him about the Dornian Heresy? That alternate version of events where Dorn becomes Warmaster and everybody’s position in the heresy is reversed?
I'm finding it super interesting that Horus has the roman look to him with the wolf pelt and the fact Rome's creation myth was about two brothers named Romulus and Remus who were raised by She-wolf. Romulus and Remus got into a fight just like Horus and Sanguinius, too! And guess who won. I'll give you a hint, there's a reason it's called Rome.
Imo, Sanguinius is the naturally charasmatic primarch, where Horus is extremely good at reading the room and saying things in a way that gets him what he wants
8:00 it wasn't even 1vs1 The big furry bringed with him 3 giant wolf and an entire squad of sister of silence (you know the ones that stop psychic power from working?)

Just came home from work. Got tomorrow off so I can take my time at home. Settled down. Sent a few snaps to friends. Booted up my powerhouse. And then I see the notif. My day has just become great.
AcTuAllY, Alpharius is the first Primarch to be discovered by the Emperor, Alpharius talks about it in the book Alpharius Head of the Hydra in the Horus Heresy Primarchs series of novels. Anyway great Podcast really recommend you read the book or listen to the audiobook it is a great one
Wait a minute, i had not read the book, but if what you said is true. Does that mean the story.that Horus himself found Alphais, and/or Omegon is not true?
21:23 So the reason why Horus has an eye on his armor is because that is the all seeing eye of the Imperium. They actually mention it in Horus Rising, and you can see the eye of the imperium in the background of that very famous painting of Horus and The Emperor’s final battle.
Can confirm, was going to comment myself if it hadn't been mentioned already. To elaborate, Eidolon seems to be more like the Abaddon-level Emperor's Children-specific stand-in primarch, whereas Lucius the Eternal is the actual full-on champion of Slaanesh.
The Eye of Horus is a reference to the Egyptian deity Horus, and his eye after Set destroyed it. Hathor restored it and it became a symbol of healing, protection, and restoration. GW just changed the symbol to look like the All-Seeing Eye in Christian lore.
so in relation to the legion names, I've been reading the heresy series (all of them in publishing order) and so I can help with this a bit. Horus was actually recommended to change his legion name from the Luna Wolves to the Sons Of Horus by the Emperor. Horus was reluctant to do this and spent months debating the subject, it wasn't until after his wounding with the Anathane that he would decide to change it. Angron chose the World Eaters for his legion name in part to honor to a raiding party he organized on his home world "Eaters of Cities". So conclusion, no legion changed their names to sleight the Emperor at this point in time.
As soon as I tuned in, Bricky was saying some heretical shit like "SUS" and Horus Man, that Anime version of Doge Vandyre really did a number on you, huh?
I'm relistening to the podcast...and I find that I am internally screaming about the part where briky is like "if sanguineous was so cool why didn't he give Conrad a hug?"... Like...he did!! Lol...they had a huge heart to heart lol...ugh...love your podcasts guys, gets me through work.
If only the True Sons and the other "thrice-cursed traitors" (Failbaddon's term, not mine) made more appearances in the lore... The astounding Black Legion defeat at Vigilus could be a great opportunity for them to start posing as proper rivals for the inheritors of Horus' legacy; you shouldn't just nearly lose the Vengeful Spirit to some Eldar because you were too busy fighting one Chapter Master (even if he was Papa Smurf) and expect to get away with it.
I know nothing about game lore (outside of these podcasts) but irl 'The eye of Horus' is a super important Egyptian symbol, so presumably that has some reason for Horus to wear an eye.

@@Blazo_Djurovic As we all know, not even the Alphalegions understands what the Alphalegion is doing. Those fuckers could surprise Tzeeche and Shegorath at the same Time and nobody would fucking notice.
He landed on the top of Mt. Everest and sled down back to the imperial palace on his ass.
Bricky better mention Sigismund while he is talking about the first black crusade.
One thing I will say is that not all chaos legions worship chaos; some see them as a means to an end, like the iron warriors and the night lords, some actually worship them like the word bearers or the SOME of the black legion.
I really dig your new haircut bricky. It really shows in the thumbnail
Everything about Konrad Kurze, like many things in the Alien franchise, are references to the literary works of Joseph Conrad.
Even -The (N-word) of the 'Narcissus'?
Especially that one
DK: “What about the Nightlords would relate to the Alien ship though?”
Newt: “They mostly come at night...mostly.”
What if instead of Horus coming back, the Chaos Gods just cram a demon into Horus's corpse and create an artificial daemon prince?
Daemons need a living body or else it would be destroyed by the warp energies. Also his body was completely destroyed so that wouldn't work anyway.
he was legit ERASED from the universe on the MOLECULAR level...
@@brayachdragonbane7529 Smaller than molecular.
He destroyed his FUCKING SOUL.
When speaking about the Emperor's favored son, the Lion el Johnson primarch book frames it perfectly, he plays on everyone's personality to get them to act, in essence none of them are his fave.
I can't wait for Bricky to have to do the Perturabo research and realizes that, like Conrad Curze, he's actually one of the most interesting, morally conflicted, and misunderstood characters in 40k
Have watched the video, you are incredibly right, doesn't mean bricky was wrong though
Pretty weird to start a 40k podcast with so little knowledge tbh
Sanguineous literally took Conrad to a world that prevented both there visions to help him hell he told him about his upcoming death. Even Horus said Sanguineous was more deserving, Horus literally knew that if he didn’t get Sanguineous abs the blood angels he was going to be defeated.
Listen.
You're right.
But you said "Sanguineous Abs" and I don't think you know what you've done
@@Bricky I have big thumbs
Hot Sanguinius abs.
Can we have a little mini bonus episode on Malice/Malal, the true chaos god of chaos
The true chaos god that died for copyright issues...
@@1r0zz He's in that weird limbo where there are some small mentions of him somewhere that technically haven't been retconned out... I don't think he's gonna become a thing again though, not for a long time.
Maybe GW will one day push the narrative in the "Chaos is getting out of control in realspace" direction and we'll have Sons of Malice come out in force to "help" stop it or something, but that would imply they have the numbers to do that.
2am this is gonna happen? God damn. Looks like another late night for this Aussie.
Have fun lad.
Thursday morning, too. The things we do for the love of the emperor.
Yeah its normally 11 or noon my time in the US so quite early for yall
This podcast got me feelin' super Sthonic.
45:50 This sequence right here, Bricky just doubling and tripling and quadrupling down on the same bad joke and DK suffering way more from it than he should, that was amazing.
How can you say that "Night lords" is the edgiest name, have you forgotten about Morty's D E A T H G U A R D
As a death guard i would counter that with... Want about the raven guard.._
death guard arent the ones roleplaying as Otherworld vampire Batmans lol
@@jirojhasuo2ndgrandcompany745 Well that's true, but we're debating names, not actions
"i turned myself into a pickle morty, i'm pickle typhuuuuus!

Had this podcast on in the background while my friend and I were doing our minis. She had no interest in the lore of 40k then came away afterwards intruiged. You guys are doing the gods work, this is the perfect _my first warhammer_ stepping stone.
"The Lorgar Heresy would never work." I mean... he and Erebus did kinda engineer the *actual* Horus Heresy.
I think it's nostramo as a ref to Nostradamus, since the nightlord had the vision thing going on
Just when I'm about to start a primaris Luna Wolves army as well.
wait "primaris" luna wolves

44:04 Simply a theory since his crown had a red gem stone that looked very similar to an elder soul gem.
Though honestly, if that ever does come true that would be pretty rad. Sure, he could never reform his body but the mind living on is an interesting idea and would make sense considering how he let himself be killed.
Started watching the RUclips version for the cool art. Staying for Shy's sass
By far the best thumbnail.
You gonna tell him about the Dornian Heresy? That alternate version of events where Dorn becomes Warmaster and everybody’s position in the heresy is reversed?
Emperors Children not only yell "For the Emperor" but they still wear the Aquila in the current age.
The reason is that Reme sounds fucking lame
Dumb comment bro
"Could you imagine Lorgar trying to convince other people to join his rebellion against the Emperor?"
Oh yes we can...
#blameLorgar
Imo, Sanguinius is the naturally charasmatic primarch, where Horus is extremely good at reading the room and saying things in a way that gets him what he wants
This better start soon, my tea is getting cold 😂
8:00 it wasn't even 1vs1
The big furry bringed with him 3 giant wolf and an entire squad of sister of silence (you know the ones that stop psychic power from working?)
shy is the soul of this series and she doesn't even fucking speak my god she's good
I do love the ascetics of the Luna wolves along with their warrior culture despite them not getting like any big big books, but the stuff we have of them are just top tier
On general warhammer news who is ready for the total war warhammer 3 teaser
Creative assembly has done so many crap moves that they are not getting out of the big grudge-book anytime soon.
"You did it, you defeated me, Horus Lupercal. You really are the Warhammer 40,000."
As a loyalist Luna Wolves fan I’m glad they get the love they deserve
Torgaddon was a fucking lad
Surprisingly Rogal was one of the closest primarchs to Hourus
looking forwards to seeing all the meme images of failbaddon the armless to come.
also, i too want to hear about your take on old fabulous bile
Really appreciate the editors humor with the background images.

My day has just become great.
"I punched out one of his hearts! Whydoesnoonerememberthat?!?!"
This entire podcast is "Man with Half the facts talks to man with none of the facts."
God I wish shy spoke, she'd sort this shit out.
Inside of you are two Wolves.
One worships Chaos, the other also worships Chaos, but he thinks it's "wolf spirits".
@@woaddragon everything is true. Everything is a lie
21:23 So the reason why Horus has an eye on his armor is because that is the all seeing eye of the Imperium. They actually mention it in Horus Rising, and you can see the eye of the imperium in the background of that very famous painting of Horus and The Emperor’s final battle.
Also you are forgetting about Lucius and Eidolon for the Emperors Children
Can confirm, was going to comment myself if it hadn't been mentioned already. To elaborate, Eidolon seems to be more like the Abaddon-level Emperor's Children-specific stand-in primarch, whereas Lucius the Eternal is the actual full-on champion of Slaanesh.
Why go WOO WOO WOO WOO with Russ, when you could definitely go WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF
For some reason, I imagine Horus has Seth Rogen's voice.
Why does this feel right
Thanks I hate it
This episode did my boy Sanguinius dirty man.... We need some redemption for sanguinius in the blood angels episode!
The Eye of Horus is a reference to the Egyptian deity Horus, and his eye after Set destroyed it. Hathor restored it and it became a symbol of healing, protection, and restoration. GW just changed the symbol to look like the All-Seeing Eye in Christian lore.
yea i cant actually believe they fluffed that one. and shy did it twice. luetin is gonna throw a tizzy
@@Bendy237 Eh, none of them are history or mythology nerds so I'm not going to hold them to my standard. As long as it isn't totally egregious.
so in relation to the legion names, I've been reading the heresy series (all of them in publishing order) and so I can help with this a bit.
As soon as I tuned in, Bricky was saying some heretical shit like "SUS" and Horus
Man, that Anime version of Doge Vandyre really did a number on you, huh?
that zoom to Sanguinius with the lol made me burst my coffee thru my nose.
Horus burns the galaxy.
Failbadon takes 13 and a half tries to get past Cadia.

Virgin Black Legion vs Chad True Sons
If only the True Sons and the other "thrice-cursed traitors" (Failbaddon's term, not mine) made more appearances in the lore... The astounding Black Legion defeat at Vigilus could be a great opportunity for them to start posing as proper rivals for the inheritors of Horus' legacy; you shouldn't just nearly lose the Vengeful Spirit to some Eldar because you were too busy fighting one Chapter Master (even if he was Papa Smurf) and expect to get away with it.
@@Wanten-the-stormtrooper It would be very cool to have more renegade space marines who are unaffiliated to any major factions.
I know nothing about game lore (outside of these podcasts) but irl 'The eye of Horus' is a super important Egyptian symbol, so presumably that has some reason for Horus to wear an eye.
“Shy said make this episode shorter” but shy that’s the opposite of what we want D:
"Take Guilliman, put him next to Dorn, and Guilliman looks like a saint."
