- Christian Deathcore band, IN THE MIDST OF LIONS, released their first album in 2009 on Strike First Records. The name of the band comes from the bible, Psalm 57:4, which reads, " I am in the midst of lions; I lie among ravenous beasts-- men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords."

You rarely ever see people fighting for God nowadays. Good to see you doing it with music.
Just because its heavy, very heavy, doesnt mean its not for God. The lyrics are positive to God. We are supposed to be here to use our talents differently to show who God is, this is just a heavier version of it. For me I love really heavy metal but want to stay positive in Christ without the other metal bands that could have a negative message. Its just the sound thats all, people dont need to judge that much about it. It sounds awesome and still glorifies His name

I cant understand one thing. The guitarist sam penner in this band got kicked out of for today, cause he had another christian perspective. He was for gay and lesbian marriage. So he isnt the same christian like we are, right? Jesus is against those marriages. So why is this band christian? Or did he realize, it was wrong? Halp pls
