    • @GreenDay1981
      @GreenDay1981 6 лет назад +183

      He's full of shit. If it's true that Scott Williamson's ring went for $89K, he's a more known player. He was one of their best relief pitchers in 2004. This ring belonged to Brandon Puffer, who didn't even throw a single pitch in his 1 day with the Red Sox. Only reason he got a ring is because the owner decided to give a ring to every player who was on the roster at any point that season. Who would want to pay 89,000 for a ring with some no-name player on it? I'm curious as to why Puffer would give it away in the first place unless he felt like he didn't deserve it since he contributed nothing to the Red Sox championship run or he was trying to make bail money lol. If the ring belonged to....say...Pokey Reese, then I could see someone paying 89,000 for it.
      The Pawn Stars guys are crooks anyway and the show is fake.

      Puffer was summoned to the majors on Sept. 2. Puffer did not get in the game and was designated for assignment the next day because the Sox wanted outfielder Adam Hyzdu on the roster.
      Despite not actually playing in a game, Puffer was on the roster for a day and was given a ring. The 18-carat white gold ring was encrusted with diamonds and adorned with a ruby “B.”

    Yes, people, it DOES matter who's ring it is. Corey is correct. Puffer never played in a single game for the Red Sox. He was acquired in a trade, and the next day he was sent to me minors, never to return. And then he went to prison.
