A few minutes later I became unsettled at the thought that if they asked that same question of a genuinely screwed up person, that person would've said yes, and/or spoke to them like this. A lot of commenters will say that you should block kids immediately for their own good, but that doesn't change the facts: It's a shared space, and they aren't going anywhere. And neither are the predators. I'm still wrestling with the best way to proceed in situations like that. Plus, without the tools to moderate every instance I ever visit, it feels like a lose-lose scenario to intervene in any way. Something has to give, and the rest of us shouldn't have to suffer the consequences of these behaviors.

I just awkwardly thanked him and he was asking me to unmute, i did a dying elmo voice because i thought he was just joking around but then he did like the flustered emoji and said "you sound cute either way." i think he was sleepy or something and couldnt filter himself because like an hour later he threw a handful of messages at me saying how hot he thinks i am and that we arent too far in age. eventually the next day he apologized, i forgave him, and we just stopped talking since then. this one was crazy. so this one friended me on discord after we met in a game, he seemed really cool in-game at least, he immediately asked to call and that he wanted to RP. I dont do RP stuff because i find it awkward. he was talking while i texted because i didnt trust him all the way. he spoke but when he did a "action" he typed it out, like he was asking how im doing then he typed "touches shoulder" I didnt say anything because i was thinking what if i just suddenly hung up, but i thought it'd be extremely awkward he say "You aren't talking, shy are we?"
