Wonderful review! I'm so happy to see a reviewer who enjoyed the story and wasn't biased or picky about stupid small "flaws". You, sir, are a TRUE gamer. 5 stars!
Great review. Really enjoyed hearing what you had to say. Granted most are reviews felt the story was the weak link this time round, its actually a bit refreshing to hear someone actually say they liked it. I patiently wait the 22nd of Feb to give this guy a go :D
Finally an unbiased review! Will be following you to keep up with future reviews. Too many spoilers but not enouuugh spoilers! Have been playing the beta and I'm loving it forgot how much team work was required for warzone, Tactician class so add me if you need one. Can you review the sharpshooter when it's out mate?
as soon as i watched your review, i KNEW it was good, 'cause you seem more like a person (apart from the fact you ARE) compared to other reviewers out there :) i will be a sub for life man :) so keep up the good stuff 2 questions though: 1, which do u prefer playing with on this game, controller or move? and 2, why are you called ZeitgeistReview? it always made me wonder, so is there a secret reason or just cus it was alll that was available?
A few things to say: First, the planet is called Helghan and the enemy calls itself the Helghast. Second, both the bolt gun and the wheel-turning were in Killzone 2. And third, that thing that you thought the move needed? It's called the sharpshooter. I got Killzone 2 alongside the Move and thought the move controls, while cool, weren't good enough to replace the controller. A few days later, I got the Sharpshooter (it was 50% off) and fell in love. It is SO precise that it's necessary (imo) to
Nice review, yet again. Though, I found the silent scene(where you are silent, and let the video play) at the presentation review in the beginning a little bit too long. btw, are you gonna review magicka?
Another fine review Zeitgeist! I really loved the single player mode in Killzone 2 even though I play FPS's on PC. Sure it took a while to learn the controls but it was worth it!! Really looking forward to Killzone 3!
Hey, great review, man! Quick question though, I've never played Killzone 1 or 2 and since you didn't either, do you think it lessened your overall experience regarding the story or was it just as good regardless?
@ZeitgeistReview Hey great review! I was wondering if there were any other splitscreen options besides the campaign. I know there isn't any online splitscreen but how about bot matches splitscreen? Thanks
Hey, nicely done Zeitgeist. I'm a big fan of the first 3 games and this looks to be the best of the three. Problem with the second one was mostly technological and the online play lacked. It seems they've found the balance between kick ass PS3 capabilities and basic multiplayer you find in other games.
@duckhouse21 What lag? Do you mean sensitivity? Did you adjust the sensitivity in the game settings? The game ran perfectly for me, both in the campaign and on the multiplayer.
@ZeitgeistReview, homefront looks cool as well! good review. i loved kz2 and i cant wait for this one. you got me even more hyped than i was already. man, we got 4 fps games coming out within the next 2 months. kz3, bulletstorm, homefront, and crysis 2. should be awesome.
Great review, man! Your reviews are like Bennet The Sage but a billion times better! And I love Bennet The Sage! Your analysis is professional yet can appeal to all gamers. If anyone inspired me to become a game reviewer, you did! Also, this is the kind of game along with Little Big Planet 1 and 2 that make me wish I could afford a PS3!
@VideoGameFallout local split screen co-op only, though any TV will handle this well. They split it up with squares, one in the top left and one in the bottom right.
@ZeitgeistReview Do you find any of the online classes noobish like the infiltrators because a lot of people told me that class had an extremely powerful combination of perks
wow, never seen a review come so early o.O so happy though, i might get this though, looking at march and those games, it is going to be difficult to make myself buy this what would be your personal opinion? at first glance, would i enjoy this game more than crysis 2 or deus ex?
this looks cool, so would you say that one does not need to play the first two to understand the story, or did you feel like something was missing through the game?
@KKINTI I'm not sure that's a fair question. I like the online capabilities of the 360, I like the Blu Ray of the PS3. I like the lightweight rechargable controller of the PS3 and I like the exclusives for the PS3 better. Typically if I play a multiplayer game, I get it on the 360. I play single player on the PS3. The Wii is a different story and I pretty much only play Nintendo exclusives on it. But again, that's just me, that's how I use my hardware.
the move works wonderfully. I have no idea about disabling the magnetic something or other, but setting it up takes less than 30 seconds. Also, it has an absolute 1:1 ratio....whatever you do, it does. The sharp shooter gun is absolutely sweet, and feels great. Interaction in this game is supreme with Move, sharpshooter, and 3D.
@Infernotez Because the publisher set a launch date, the game finished well before that, they shipped it out, then said no one could post reviews until today.
I take it that they're okay with you releasing a review this early. I'm gonna have to check this out, i'm not much of a fps guy, especially not on consoles, but if the story is good enough i'll be sure to enjoy it.
@ThaReenter you should probably buy it earlier because the killzone edition won't be around for long. I just bought mine yesterday and every store was sold out, so i bought it on amazon.
@Psykosoldia That's kind of my thoughts on it as well. Different series = Different controls. Every every game was like CoD, what would be the point in buying it?
@ZeitgeistReview Nah, I don't mind the control scheme, especially since they offer a bunch of preset schemes. It's more that things like aiming felt a tad awkward and unresponsive at times. Nothing that practice didn't fix though.
@wex313 Did you watch the video? All of your questions are answered in the video. (well, minus the vehicles one... The only vehicles in multiplayer are the giant Robots you can get in. I know they are in the Bot matches at least)
I picked this game up yesterday. It is a definate buy! I enjoy the co-op single player and multiplayer very much. I was surprise Natko doesn't make an appearance from the 2nd game since he's now a second player during co-op. Malcolm Mcdowell did a great job on his voice role. This game like the 2nd, is a masterpiece.
@infinitextimes Sorry, I understand your confusion. It was based on my interpretation of the story from what I've read on various website and Wikipedia. Regardless, I still liked the story. You will like the campaign.
good review but i can tell youve never played the others... the TURN the handle feature is in the 2nd killzone cant remember in the 1st. does this have co-op like resistance2??? i hope so
u should really play the previous killzone games especially kz2. they are amazing(mostly #2 is lol). this guy sure does know how to review games. just subbed
Awesome review & I had to pick up Killzone from amazon to complete my Killzone game set cause the series is just Beast I have them all except KZ3 but that is the 22nd for us .
@ZeitgeistReview do you think there is any chance of them releasing this for pc in the next year or two. I really hate hate games that are only for certain platforms, and i dont want to spend 300 dollars just to play this on a ps3
I really enjoyed Killzone 2 but I found the controls to be a little uncooperative. Since you haven't played the prequel, how would you compare the controls to something like Call of Duty?
Hey Zeitgeist, have you reviewed STALKER franchise? I think they are awesome games and deserve some real attention (especially since their graphics still are by far the best I have seen in many games of the year)
@TheDarkUnleashed Deus ex is more of an RPG first person shooter. It all depends on what you like. I know you were not asking me. What game do you want the most?
What are all the multiplayer game modes, are there any vehicles in the multiplayer, and any online co-op modes. PLEASE respond I really want to buy the game, but I want to know if these things are included, before i buy it.
@ThuDude1 That is so weird to me. I never even touch the multiplayer until I've completed the single player. I don't even see what multiplayer features are included until I've beaten the campaign.
I've heard a lot of complaints about the story. Some people have said it was bad enough to dock off a whole point. Can you go more indepth about it? Wondering cause you seemed to like it.
How can you claim that the story is more heartfelt if you've never played a previous title? Good review otherwise. I'm pretty pumped, hopefully this will give me a reason to use my PS3 again. A lot of reviewers are being brutal on this game's story. I'm all for depth in a narrative, all for a good story, and all for interesting characters. But really, all I want from Killzone 3 is a good, summer blockbuster type of experience. Will I be pleased with this campaign?
@Ninryoku Killzone 3 is possibly the best muiltiplayer experience you will ever have on a console. Campaign is varied and awesome, consistent action that is constantly evolving. The online is amazing, super strategic but not dull, there is consistent action. The classes are crazy; the sniper can cloak, infiltrator disguises, engineer can place turrets, there's a ton of cool stuff in this game. Pick it up.
let me thank you for a great review and ask you a question you probably answered many times before: how come you get all these games before release date, or put another way, why are the publishers so aware of you? Anyways, very nice review :)
@ZeitgeistReview Is this game better than Homefront. I already bought LBP2 and Catelvania Lords of Shaddows so I can only get one more game. Having a really hard time deciding...
@honeyhotsauce Yea, but I don't have enough time to practice with the move to get good with it. There is a learning curve. You can't just plug it in and be good. It's a completely different feeling than using the controller and you have to take time to adjust.
Hey ZeitgeistReview! I was just wondering if you're planning on doing a MGS4 review when you can... Because there is only one or two good reviews on youtube for MGS4, and I always like your opinion,... If you could make a review please do it, but if you can´t just post a comment.
@123Evdawg Sorry, that was based off of my interpretation of the story from what I've read on various websites and Wikipedia in contrast to the story of this game.
@ZeitgeistReview no I'm not... I'm saying that a melee move like that is damn easy to do in the game. and then there's the normal melee it's instant kill too in the game. you think hitting someone with your weapon would be instant kill??
Looks great, I've grown tired of repetative shooters like CoD and started moving on to great games with compelling stories like Mass Effect 2, which is the best game I've played yet. This game actually looks really great, thanks for the review. I didn't really like the trailers they have released so far, so this opened my eyes a little. Keep up the good work! =)
How is Rico this time around? Is he still completely useless to the point where you have to hold his hand and babysit him the whole way through? Playing through that last chapter of Killzone 2 with him on my team almost drove me up the wall.
@ZeitgeistReview I love your review, Killzone 3 is a great game and the story isn't awfull like Gamespot mentioned, it's actually likeable, i especially loved the Clifhanger at the end!
Wonderful review! I'm so happy to see a reviewer who enjoyed the story and wasn't biased or picky about stupid small "flaws". You, sir, are a TRUE gamer. 5 stars!
Nice work getting this review up so early for such a big name title. Looks like you even got a video review up before IGN on RUclips.
Great review. Really enjoyed hearing what you had to say. Granted most are reviews felt the story was the weak link this time round, its actually a bit refreshing to hear someone actually say they liked it. I patiently wait the 22nd of Feb to give this guy a go :D

Congrats dude, I love ur reviews. This vid was uploaded 12 hours ago and it already has over 1k views!!! Cheers!
I really legitimately appreciate you making this. Fantastic job.
A few things to say: First, the planet is called Helghan and the enemy calls itself the Helghast. Second, both the bolt gun and the wheel-turning were in Killzone 2. btw, are you gonna review magicka?
@Venominous I didn't have any problems. Though the multiplayer beta for KZ3 was released today. You might try to download it and test yourself.

@DJNIGHTREX I'm not sure what that means. When I was playing the full version online, I got that message a few times, but nobody ever got kicked.
@bripook The cutscenes can be skipped once the next part of the game has been loaded. The cut scenes are pretty much loading screens in some cases.
wow, never seen a review come so early o.O
so happy though, i might get this
though, looking at march and those games, it is going to be difficult to make myself buy this
what would be your personal opinion? at first glance, would i enjoy this game more than crysis 2 or deus ex?
@Venominous It's a different control scheme if that's what you're asking. I thought it responded just fine though.
Nice review. A lot of the times reviews don't come out till a few days after a games release.
@TroyLondon2 No, there is no install for the game, I was simply saying how big it was on the Blu-ray.
@killerbandit Depends on the gun and the situation. I almost always use the sight.
this looks cool, so would you say that one does not need to play the first two to understand the story, or did you feel like something was missing through the game?
@1Minute60Seconds That's not the install size, there actually is NO install. That's just the size of the game on the disc.
I love how early this review is! Thank you!
@KKINTI I'm not sure that's a fair question. I like the online capabilities of the 360, I like the Blu Ray of the PS3. this review was so great that you just got one subscriber more;D. buy the way how long is the campaing of this kickass shooter?
Why did the game show up 2+ weeks before this video and the game still doesn't come out for 3 weeks?
the move works wonderfully.
@ZeitgeistReview Anyways love the review gonna buy this game but PSN still out....when do u think its gonna be on?
@Infernotez Because the publisher set a launch date, the game finished well before that, they shipped it out, then said no one could post reviews until today.
@bjapan96 no it won't take 40 gigs off your hd - it plays from the blu ray and only installs a couple of gigs onto your hd..
I take it that they're okay with you releasing a review this early.
I'm gonna have to check this out, i'm not much of a fps guy, especially not on consoles, but if the story is good enough i'll be sure to enjoy it.
Wow, amazing review! It's the first that I was actually more into the review than the game.
@ThaReenter you should probably buy it earlier because the killzone edition won't be around for long. I just bought mine yesterday and every store was sold out, so i bought it on amazon.
How do you get these early builds/games to review, of course from the developers but do they contact you or did you contact them first?
i remember in killzone 2 it was kind of hard to aim with the analog stick.. is this the same in killzone 3?
This review was more ejoyable than Gametrailers, IGN's and Gamespots together! Very professional, very good. Really hyped for this game now.
@Psykosoldia That's kind of my thoughts on it as well. Different series = Different controls. Every every game was like CoD, what would be the point in buying it?
i must admit your reviews are much better and i respect much more you opinion on a game than ign and gametrailers or gamespot...keep the good work
great review man .for someone that never played the first two games ,we know you're being real about this one .cheers.
@ZeitgeistReview Nah, I don't mind the control scheme, especially since they offer a bunch of preset schemes. It's more that things like aiming felt a tad awkward and unresponsive at times. Nothing that practice didn't fix though.

@ZeitgeistReview did they sent u the game for free ? what did u do to get the game before the release date ? awesome game
Wat do u give this game out of 10? Also, was the ending good and did it give hints to a killzone 4?
@Grpeephole
The word "Zeitgeist" isn't specific to the zeitgeist movement. It is simply a term that means "the spirit of the age".
@infinitextimes Sorry, I understand your confusion. It was based on my interpretation of the story from what I've read on various website and Wikipedia. Regardless, I still liked the story. You will like the campaign.
good review but i can tell youve never played the others... the TURN the handle feature is in the 2nd killzone cant remember in the 1st.
does this have co-op like resistance2??? i hope so
@2tooful I have no idea what you just said.

I really enjoyed Killzone 2 but I found the controls to be a little uncooperative. Since you haven't played the prequel, how would you compare the controls to something like Call of Duty?

I love this review! I was watching IGN's and someone told me to check this guy out. And this review is just amazing.
hey zeitgeist reviewer which console is the best to you and has the best games
@ThuDude1 That is so weird to me. I never even touch the multiplayer until I've completed the single player. I don't even see what multiplayer features are included until I've beaten the campaign.
I've heard a lot of complaints about the story. Some people have said it was bad enough to dock off a whole point. Can you go more indepth about it? Wondering cause you seemed to like it.
Nice review dude. Very thorough. Subbed.
@JESUSboy985 There aren't that many guns. Each class has 6 guns, but some of them overlap. 3 primary, 3 secondary per class.
@JayBrownAlpha This was not a review of the beta. This was a review of the final copy that Sony sent me.
@RapturousDemise Well why buy Killzone 2 for the multiplayer when I can play Killzone 3's multiplayer?
I personally thought your review was more in depth and well thought out than IGN's I'm even more pumped for this game now!
@zeitgeistreview When is magicka expected to be finished?
How can you claim that the story is more heartfelt if you've never played a previous title? Good review otherwise. I'm pretty pumped, hopefully this will give me a reason to use my PS3 again.

Hey ZeitgeistReview!
I was just wondering if you're planning on doing a MGS4 review when you can...
Because there is only one or two good reviews on youtube for MGS4, and I always like your opinion,... If you could make a review please do it, but if you can´t just post a comment.
@ZeitgeistReview hey waht happnedto shawn nakto did he die or something or does he have a part
Do you need the playstation move to play Killzone 3 or is it just optional?
@WolfTheTrueKing Yup, it doesn't release until Feb 22nd.
@123Evdawg Sorry, that was based off of my interpretation of the story from what I've read on various websites and Wikipedia in contrast to the story of this game.
You should review other PS3 exclusives! You review without spoiling... good stuff.
@ZeitgeistReview no I'm not... I'm saying that a melee move like that is damn easy to do in the game. and then there's the normal melee it's instant kill too in the game. you think hitting someone with your weapon would be instant kill??
@ZeitgeistReview
Dude, IGN and Gamespot could learn a few things from you. Excellent review.
Question: Are there more than 3 primary weapons for each class?
hello where is shawn nakto i know garza is dead but what about him
@JPZEZITO You know shooters have single player campaigns too right?
Looks great, I've grown tired of repetative shooters like CoD and started moving on to great games with compelling stories like Mass Effect 2, which is the best game I've played yet. This game actually looks really great, thanks for the review. I didn't really like the trailers they have released so far, so this opened my eyes a little. Keep up the good work! =)
if its released on feb 22, 2011 how did you get the game
how to you get the beta
yes ima noob...tell me plz
How is Rico this time around? Is he still completely useless to the point where you have to hold his hand and babysit him the whole way through? Playing through that last chapter of Killzone 2 with him on my team almost drove me up the wall.
What do you think of the ending?
@ZeitgeistReview is it better or do you perfer the controller??
@ZeitgeistReview I love your review, Killzone 3 is a great game and the story isn't awfull like Gamespot mentioned, it's actually likeable, i especially loved the Clifhanger at the end!
Great review as always. They need to release it now because Bulletstorm is out on the day.
@bastardgear8 You're saying slicing someones throat or stabbing them in the eye isn't an instant kill in real life?
Are they planning on making another killzone anytime? I don't wanna buy it and a new came out
So am I getting this right? They have already finished the game but they will not release it?!
What the hell?!!
@ZeitgeistReview will you review bulletstorm?
