Great simple build, i bought the plans and made it about a foot longer and 4" or 5" wider on the full sheets side. I've been using it for about two months now, it feels very sturdy and comfortable to use. Plans are simple and easy to read.
This is great, thanks. Most other carts on RUclips seem to be massively over engineered, or waste tons of plywood on the support, when slats will work fine. This looks like a much better solution.
@@mepro123... On the back of the cart, (straight or non angled side) in the video, you clearly add a fairly wide board across the long side of the cart, almost midway up. This is not shown in the picture of the cart, nor in the cut list? Seems like a piece is missing in the plans? You can see this very near the end of the video. I am getting ready to build this when I noticed.
I agree with screws for stuff like this. Lots of tensile strength and makes it rigid as long as there is minimal shear load. Fastest way to do it and you can break it down when you are done or need to modify it.
Not sure, but I've got mine LOADED and it still rolls around just fine. I think the biggest factor is going to be whatever the casters are rated for. Even if they're only 100# each, that's 400# total since the cart mostly distributes the weight.
Building this today. Don't think I'll get done in 90 minutes, but definitely no more than 2 hours. Great build. Some of it was just figuring out measurements. Buying the plans probably would have cut off that last 30 minutes. How long did you make yours? I made mine a full 8', which is pretty big. But that's how long sheets are. Yours just looks shorter.
It went great! If I were to do it again, I'd just make it 2-3" deeper. I can probably fit 5-6 1/2" sheets on it, but that should be enough. I can fit a bunch of partial boards on the back, too. Plywood sheets used to be such a pain to store and this has solved a huge problem. Thanks for the tutorial!

Thanks, John!
The accelerated sound of the pitter patter of your feet was unbelievably satisfying.
😂
Bought the plan and built it. Looks damn good and already filled to the brim. Thank you!
I just downloaded plans. I hope to find time to build real soon! Just what I need in my small shop thank you very much.
Thanks for your support!

could it be that you replaced that board with a 2 x 4 in the plans?
Part number 4.
fantastic, thank you
Quick to build and very space efficient! Thank you for the video!
You're welcome!
I need this in my life. Great build!
Does this cart work well for full sheets?
Sure does. I have a ton of material loaded up on mine.
I like the simplicity.
Thank you!
I can't find a working link for purchasing the plans for this cart. Any suggestions?
Bummer. Would have liked to have seen the plans, but the website no longer exists.😲
Yeah, I like this one. It seems easy, quick and useful. Thank you
Thank you!
Love it - Tomorrows project
Let me know how it goes!
@@mepro123 Brilliant project. Love my build thanks
@@Chris_PerthWA that's awesome man! Looks really good.
where do I buy the plans, the link does not seem to be working
Where do I find the plans?
Measuretwiceplans.com
1:32 buy a finish nail gun and tightbond glue.
Have both. Just prefer screws in a lot of situations.

Quick question. How many pounds can this hold?

Any issues with full 8ft sheets? Does the cart tip at all?

How'd the build go? If I remember correctly, mine is 4-ft.

Nice jump cuts at the end!
Great, simple concept. Might use kreg screws for a lot of this, though.
Was thinking the same thing myself.
Dang, I wish I would've watched this video 2 years ago when it only cost $70 to build this.
Ya price of lumber has definitely gone up. Should def still be the cheapest way to build a cart though!!
I just built this and it’s considerably cheaper than other lumber carts.Love the simple design.
Can anyone tell me how wide the base of this build is? Id like to know if it fits the space that I am trying to fill before I purchase the plans
Hi Phil. The plywood base is 16x60 inches.
@@mepro123 thanks for the reply, that is a perfect fit, I will buy these plans. Thanks again.
Phil, how’d you end up liking the plans?
@@mepro123 very well laid out , looking forward to the build later this month!
Dang he’s fast!,
I take a multi-vitamin with breakfast.
Someone get this man another battery!
